Fun, informative tour. We liked that it was a small group and we never felt rushed. Saw a lot in a little bit of time. Glad we decided to book it.
I had such a great time with Colin as the guide! He really knows the history of Chicago and has a great sense of humor. Best way to get around the city and learn about all the interesting bits!
Went with another mom and daughter. It was so interesting! Both girls (13yo) enjoyed the tour too. Would have liked a bit more comedy/horror stories (per the girls) but very Interesting tour. We saw lots of Chicago that we’d not seen before. :)
This was a great and informative experience.
It was an incredible experiencie. Thank Colin!!!
Colin's tour was very informative and engaging, covering a good range of topics (history, architecture, art, etc.). I estimate our total walking distance was somewhere around 1.5 miles, and it took about 2 hours. I would definitely recommend this tour to future travelers. It also ends in a convenient location for continued exploration (Cultural Center / Millennium Park).
Colin was a fantastic guide. We lived in the Chicago suburbs in the 80-90s , but Colin provided extensive information and new insights into old stories. We highly recommend you book his tour. You will not be disappointed
Great tour! Colin is very charismatic and engaging, very knowledgeable of the city, we learned a lot of little interesting details that would otherwise be skipped on a large group tours. This was a small group and felt almost personalized. Definitely recommend.

Colin is the best! Amazing guide, knowledgeable, entertaining and fun history teller. He took us to the best spots in the city where we learned about Chicago’s history and saw amazing buildings, spaces and decorative details. He showed us a lot of old photos, in his tablet , that helped enhance the experience. He even extended the tour for us and suggested restaurants to go. Highly recommended, go with him, you are in good hands!🙌
Fun and engaging tour of Chicago. His pace is perfect and his voice is clear and loud enough to hear without being obnoxious. Good stories and interesting facts. Get it done!!!

First, Colin is an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of the city and its unique history. He is very extensive. I would give him an A+ or a higher grade if I could. I like the fact he used lies his iPad to enhance his presentations. He was very accommodating to our questions needs and interest. I have taken this tour before with someone else and I learned so much more on his tour.
Loved the history, delivered with humor and full of interesting details. Colin is an expert on Chicago history! So fun to get into places that we’ve walked by for years to reveal treasures of the city. A must-do tour!
Colin was an excellent tour guide. He took us to great examples of architecture and filled us in on some of the history of the city. 2 1/2 hours flew by, and was a pleasant tour, even in the heat!
Colin is by far and away the master of Chicago architectural walking tours. He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the different architectural periods of Chicago and how social, economic and environmental forces shaped the Chicago skyline. And he weaves the tales of the various movers and shakers that helped create this wonderful city. Look no further, Colin is your guy!
My wife and I loved our tour with Colin. He presented Chicago architecture and history in a fascinating way. He has a fun personality and answered all of my questions. I liked how he voiced certain characters from history with their language, i. e. french or spanish and made them come to life. Would highly recommend this tour!
Colin is really knowledgeable about the city and showed us some incredible buildings and lobbies. While the architectural boat tour is great - getting a close look with Colin was amazing. We never would have known the true history and the beauty of the various places he shared with us. I would love to go back and take my family on his tour. Thanks Colin!
Colin's varied experiences in life, and his enthusiasm about Chicago, make for a very enjoyable tour of the city. He took us to many interesting buildings and shared their history. We were a small group of four on his tour so we could hear well and ask a lot of questions. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
I highly recommend this tour! Colin brings you into some amazing buildings that you would have just walked on by not knowing what you’re missing. I even went back later in the day to show my husband some of my favorite spots since he was unable to go on the tour.
We have been to Chicago dozens of times but decided to try Colin’s tour anyway in hopes of learning something new. He was entertaining and informative and we learned fascinating facts about the city that we had never heard before, as well as seeing many beautiful buildings, inside and out. Highly recommended.
Chicago tour inside out with interesting background narratives. Highly recommended.
Colin was a great tour guide. He clearly knew his history. The tour was amazing. I was able to tour the sites of Chicago supported with the immense local knowledge from Colin.
Colin was an engaging tour guide who kept us entertained for 2+ hours. He shared lots of good history about Chicago and the buildings we visited. He talked with -- not at -- us and clearly loves his job and the city. Bonus points: It was a cold/rainy day and his vibe was that there was nowhere else he wanted to be than talking with us. Definitely recommend his tour!
Colin was an outstanding guide who brought Chicago's history alive in a very unique way. He used an iPad throughout the tour to show us historical images and visualizations of the exact locations we were visiting. We had plenty of opportunities to ask Colin questions, and he was always ready with thoughtful and detailed answers. It was an engaging, memorable tour that combined storytelling, visuals, and genuine passion for Chicago's history. We couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Colin was very knowledgeable about Chicago history! He was friendly and easy going! Loved the tour!!
He knows what went on and what is going on. Great walk! He points out something almost every block. He even has ideas for you to do after the tour for your whole stay in Chicago.

Colin was an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable about the history of Chicago and its architecture. Took us to a number of places we would had no idea existed.
Colin was a great tour guide. He knew exactly where to go, the history of each stop, and Chicago inside and out. I only wish we had more time to explore more of Chicago but I don’t think my legs could handle it.
I highly recommend this tour. Collin took us to a great selection of sites and was fun and knowledgeable. Fun way to spend time in Chicago.
Lots of fun and great information and history. We went into buildings we have never been in before and were able to see things we did not know existed! Colin is awesome!

Great walk tour! I learned a lot about Chicago even though have visited many times. Appreciate even more how much Chicago has to offer and its rich history. Would definitely recommend this walking tour to all including locals! Jeanne
Colin made the two-hour tour go by very fast with his historical anecdotes and humor. We covered a lot of history and some interesting characters of Chicago's past. I feel that I know Chicago much better, after Colin's tour.
Colin was super fun and knowledgeable! Would totally recommend anyone to take this walking tour! My husband and I had visited Chicago before, but still learnt new fun facts and visited new places with Colin.
Nice to be able to see steller building Tiffany glass domes and much more, Collin if fun is giving out the history stories.
We have done several tours in Chicago over the years, including one that was architectural-specific. Collin was by far the most knowledgeable. He took us to several hidden gems that other tours didn't even hint at. On top of his witticism, we are still discussing some of the historical stories he shared. Best time investment of our visit! Now we just need Collin to do a Chicago foodie tour.
Colin was great! Highly recommend. He took us to places I wouldn’t have found on my own. Also took us in to buildings which was great!
Absolutely BRILLIANT! Colin had a wealth of knowledge and we discovered places in Chicago we would probably never had visited or known the information behind them. Highly recommend :-)
Colin was a wonderful guide. He was an engaging speaker and had lots of interesting facts about the history of Chicago as well as the buildings that we saw. I absolutely loved the old buildings with the beautiful ceilings and mosaics. None of these would I have found on my own, so I really appreciated that he took us there.
