Excellent tour with Ben. Better than expected. He was knowledgeable, informative and very entertaining. We covered a lot of ground and it was a wonderful mix of history, architectural sites , beautiful landmarks and holiday decor. Highly recommend.
The tour was mostly centered around the architecture of the many fabulous buildings along the Magnificent Mile. We had also done a boat tour, also highly recommended, but with the walking tour you are able to see the buildings up close, and stop and see how the different styles fit together to make downtown Chicago so unique. Our guide, Ben, was a wealth of information and gave great context to what we were seeing.
Ben was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.Very informative and kept us entertained throughout the entire tour with his enthusiasm and humour
Ben was fun to walk around and a great tour guide felt like hanging out with a good friend showing me his city great experience!
Ben was great, full of enjoyable, light hearted and informative. Very helpful with Chicago suggestions too.
Ben was awesome. This tour is highly recommended. Definitively, a great opción of you look for a bite of history of Chicago
Ben was great and very informative. He provided a historical review of Chicago’s amazing history beginning pre-fire to present. Then he showed us various historical buildings, and shared about their history and some of Chicago’s influential figures from the past.
Lark was extremely knowledgeable about the buildings along the tour, as well as curious about questions that were asked. There was a great mix of stops and walking to mix up the two hours. I am not one for heavy or intense guided tours as I like to go am my own pace... but Lark was very open about making the experience accessible for all interests. I learned so much about key buildings in Chicago, and I feel that the knowledge is already enhancing my enjoyment of the rest of the trip. Thank you Lark!
Ben was an excellent guide who was very knowledgable about the city history, the culture, and the architecture. He took us through the magnificent mile which included many high end stores. I recommend this tour to anybody who would like to know more about the city. Thanks Ben for a memorable experience.
Ben our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and I loved his presentation. He kept the tour interesting, with a bit of humor.
Very Interesting tour around Downtown buildings and Chicago architecture. 2 mile walking. Good tour guide Ben tells interesting stories and facts from the Chicago history.
Much to learn in a short amount of time. Ben was a fantastic Tour guide and covered a lot of stuff in 2 hours. Very chill and casual. Highly recommended !
Ben was so informative of the city and answered all the questions my group and I had! He even sent a thorough follow up email with additional recommendations of what to do in the city for our weekend stay which was very helpful as well!
Good explanation and tour.. however tour guide forgot to take us to the bean which was the main attraction for the tour.
Ben was a great guide on our architecture tour! We enjoyed it. We also had him as our guide on the walking food tour. Consider booking that one also.
It was great, Chicago has a lot to offer when it comes to architecture and Mitchell made it easy and fun 10/10. We made ir On July perfect weather !
Our tour guide was Mitchell and he was great! He was so informative, learned about the building of Millennium Park, the various buildings along the Magnificent Mile, including the former Library, Chicago Tribune Building and much more! We took 3 walking tours in Chicago and this was our favorite!
Nice way to gain more knowledge on the history of some of the city’s more famous locations and buildings. Mitchell was a personable and knowledgeable walking guide. Definitely a worthwhile experience.
Ben did an amazing job with our tour. Very informative and funny. He was very knowledgeable. He gave us a great recommendation for lunch. Would totally recommend this tour to anyone.
This tour offers a fascinating trip through time as the guide leads you through Chicago's Magnificent Mile. There's a lot of information to absorb, but our guide Ben's delivery was engaging and accessible. The length of the tour was just right for hitting a ton of major landmarks, and the guide was very responsive to questions. Highly recommended!
The tour was a fascinating and in-depth glimpse of one of America's most famous streets. Ben did a great job of not just reciting facts but of weaving in great stories of the pioneers and businesspeople who built the street and the neighborhoods around it. He has an exuberant personality and a command of the information, along with a keen sense of humor to leaven the tour. Highly recommended!
Our Mag Mile Tour was great. We learned about the architecture of buildings, design details and history of the area. Our guide Ben was knowledgeable, friendly, full of facts and anecdotes. It was a perfect distance - enough to see the major sites without being too long. We followed with the 360 Chicago at the Hancock. Great tour would highly recommend
A fun and informative tour for visitors and locals alike. The guide was energetic and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
This was a fantastic walking tour of Magnificent Mile! I've visited Chicago so many times and thought I sort of knew it all. But no. Our terrific guide Ben took us on a tour that included so many surprising and interesting facts and back-stories about the architecture and parks in this part of the city. It ended with a great visit to the top of the 360 Chicago observation deck. Bravo! I'd highly recommend this to families, friends, anyone!
I loved this alternative architecture tour that speaks to historic and brand new buildings! Learned a lot and I've been to Chicago many times. Great tour guide!
A fun and informative experience! As a longtime resident I still learned a lot of interesting facts. The pace was perfect and the guide was very entertaining. Highly recommended!
We had good time our guide Ben was very friendly and gave lot of information about all the buildings on the way would recommend to all
Mitchell delivered an engaging, well paced tour. The details offer great insight to the area history and development, Applying what we learned is keeping our eyes open as we explore more. A good experience!
We really enjoyed and learned a lot of Chicago’s architecture with Dave. He seamed to know a lot, but mainly we felt that he enjoyed sharing his knowledge. As he said, if you don’t like architecture, you can’t be a tourist guide in Chicago. I loved the city and Dave reinforced this feeling.
We had an amazing time on the tour! Our tour guide, Lark, was so knowledgeable about the architecture and also general history in Chicago. We asked lots of questions as a group, which in turn uncovered even more interesting facts and stories. Would definitely recommend. The timing was spot on, as well. Do note that where you begin is not where you end the tour, but the tour guide should be able to direct you where to go.
Visiting Chicago from Atlanta, we decided to explore the city through its famous Riverwalk and booked a tour guided by Dave. Let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! Dave was an absolute gem of a guide. His passion for Chicago’s architecture was infectious, and his storytelling made the city’s history come alive. From iconic landmarks like Marina City to the towering Willis Tower, every building along the Riverwalk seemed to have a story, and Dave told each one with such clarity and enthusiasm that even someone with no background in architecture (like me!) could appreciate the artistry and history. The Riverwalk itself was stunning—a perfect blend of modern design and natural beauty. Walking along the river, surrounded by Chicago’s breathtaking skyline, was a feast for the senses. The mix of vibrant restaurants, quaint bridges, and serene water views made it feel like I was stepping into a postcard. Dave’s knowledge, humor, and approachable nature turned the tour into more than just a sightseeing trip—it was an experience that left me feeling connected to the city. If you’re visiting Chicago, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you, Dave, for making our first Chicago adventure so memorable!
Ben did an outstanding job. Architecture could be a dry subject but he brought fun and made history live. Thanks Ben. Terri and Harry Budow
Dave gave us an amazing tour. Despite the cold weather (and it was really freezing) it was our favorite tour-activity in Chicago. We learned so much and enjoyed it so much. An unforgettable memory! Giovanna and Brendan
Dave was very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting things along the way. I especially loved that he pointed out the various bricks in the Tribune building. I never would have noticed them if he hadn't told us! Also, he appreciated that he walked at a comfortable pace and pointed out the bathrooms along the way. All in all, an excellent tour guide.
This was a very fun tour. Dave was very knowledgeable and informative. I got to see a lot of beautiful architecture while learning about the city’s history. He also gave good recommendations of places to visit.
Dave is very professional and fun to have as a tour guide. You could really feel the love he has for his city. Although the weather was not that great it was still a very enjoyable and informative tour.
Our tour guide Isabel was absolutely wonderful, very informative, funny, and passionate about the city! She took us to great spots :)
Isabel did a great job. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun. Isabel is funny and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend booking a tour with her.
This was one of my favorite activities while visiting Chicago. A big shout out to my tour guide, Isabel who made the experience so entertaining and engaging. She weaved together the facts and stories with her own humor at each stop and spoke in a loud, clear voice, making her easy to hear. The day of my tour was also very hot and sunny, and Isabel led us to areas where we could sit and/or be in the shade as she told us more about Chicago architecture before continuing on the walk. All in all, a great tour for those who love to feel like they’ve learned something while visiting a city.
Really fun architecture walking tour. Isabel was a great tour guide and she was energetic and very knowledgeable. The trivia and humor made it really fun to walk by the river and learn all about the history of the buildings, their architects, and the river's story. Highly recommended!
We focused not knly on the architectural side of the buildings but also the history of the city. Isabel has knowledge and is passionate about the city architecture. She also sent a follow up email about places where I can learn more about Chicago history. Highly recommended this tour!
Overall nice history lesson on the Chicago waterfront and how it has developed over the years. My wife and I are 60 and the walk was fine in terms of endurance. Ben did a good job of trying to engage the group throughout the walk. The weather was beautiful which also helped.
Isabel was so committed and knowledgeable about the city. And with her great skills and story telling she almost took us all on a virtual trip of the city back in 18's & 19's. She's so professional and would recommend everyone to take a tour and get to know about the city and the history 🫶.
This was a great way to see Chicago! Isabel was friendly and knowledgeable. It was obvious that she loves Chicago and sharing her experience with visitors. Seeing the buildings from the Riverwalk gave a different perspective from the street view. I would highly recommend this tour and Isabel!
Isabel is the best guide, love her way of explaining and touring. Dont miss touring with her! The river walk is as great place for sightening Chicago's skyline.
Our tour guide, Isabel, was super cheerful and made the tour really intresting, enjoyable and fun. We highly recommend it.
Isabel was amazing. Funny, friendly and full of facts! A wonderful way to spend the afternoon and learn about the city and architecture of Chicago. Highly recommend! Brittany
We had a very pleasant experience during the Chicago Architecture Walking Tour, even in the rain!! Our guide, Isabel, was incredible—her energy and enthusiasm were contagious. She kept us engaged with her knowledge and interesting stories. Highly recommended!
We were thrilled looking at the rich architectural marvels of Chicago. Buildings were beautiful and beyond imagination with respect to height, magnitude, and looks. It was an amazing experience that too with Isabel like guide who was well informed about the history of chicago in general and buildings in particular. Even the smallest details she explained very nicely and sportively so that everyone was attentive to her narratives. This visit will remain in our memories for long time and if lucky we would likr yo visit Chicago once again
