My son and I had an absolutely fantastic afternoon on this tour. Our guide, James, was friendly and very informative- he knows his pizza stuff! At each stop you sit at restaurant table as a group and an unexpected bonus was getting to meet and chat with the other tour participants. There was plenty of pizza for everyone (not just samples) and my son (college student) even got to take home leftovers! I also learned that the tour stops vary so even if you have done the tour before you can go again on a future trip to Chicago and try other pizzas. Very well worth the money!

Amazing and interesting and engaging! Must try!
This tour far exceeded all reasonable expectations. James was an amazing guide, the pizza was great and we got to meet several of the restaurant proprietors
History and pizza... We when to four places. Our tour guide knew a lot of history about the restaurants and Chicago.
Funny guide and really great food. Guide was very knowledgeable on local history. More than worth the price.
We had an absolutely wonderful time on this Pizza tour! Our guide, James, was not only extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in Chicago lore, he was stand-up comic funny, and extremely attentive to every member of the tour. He got to know us and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Even though we ate lots of pizza, it was well designed that you didn’t feel stuffed by the time it was over. We saw four iconic Chicago pizza places and definitely had our preferences, but all were excellent and the establishments very beautiful and iconic Chicago establishments. The tour did last about 3 1/2 hours which was a little longer than we anticipated but definitely worth it. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who loves Pizza and wants to learn more about the great city of Chicago!
We went to four different pizza places and I loved them all. John was very informative and amazing. Was thinking that this would be just tasting small amount but wrong. You will not be hungry. Very good.
The last visit required a good deal of walking. The first stop delivered the best pizza I've ever eaten.
John had a vast knowledge and great relationship with the people at the places we went. He took us to 4 different pizzerias, each different styles. He checked for any food allergies and arranged the pizza orders accordingly. He knew so much about the origin of each of the restaurants and it was clear that there were more places we could have gone so we are considering doing it again!
You will not be disappointed, James had great energy, explained the history very well and had the best pizza ever.
This pizza tour was a blast. We were in a mixed group of families and singles and the guide James was hilarious and super informed and opinionated! We tried four different kinds of pizza including deep dish. The pacing was perfect— we all still had will to eat at the final stop.
James was personable and provided a mix of Chicago history along the story of Chicago pizza in its different styles.
We all loved this tour!. James was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the pizza, the restaurant owners, and the city. He was very engaging, funny and easy to talk with. This was a great way to get a sample of different types of Chicago pizza. We will definitely suggest this tour to all our friends who are visiting Chicago.
Jon was amazing and so passionate about pizza and Chicago history. He has been doing this for 16 years and it shows. It was such a good tour and I definitely got my fill of pizza for the trip. Highly recommend when you are in Chicago.
This is a cannot be missed and fun tour. The pizza was delicious and the variety was a learning experience. It was awesome to taste and learn about all the ways you can enjoy a pie.
Joe was a wonderfully knowledgeable host with a deep passion for all styles of pizza. We went to four unique and different places and ate a lot of outstanding pizza and learned much more than I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend!
Delicious food! Good energy! Exercise! Fun to meet new ppl! Found some new restaurants for the family and friends to check out.
It was great. Tour guide was knowledgeable. I wish I remembered his name. We learned a bit and the pizza was amazing.
Not only was the pizza fantastic, but James' knowledge of the history of each pizza is second to none. Knowing that he works with 20+ restaurants, I'll definitely be back for another tour.
James was our tour guide. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Made for a great day! Tried 4 different pizza places. All were excellent Highly recommend!
Awesome experience! We loved the variety of pizza that we got to try along with the history behind each pizza that was shared with us. We felt like true locals at this tour and James was an awesome tour guide. We both would highly recommend!
Enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Good food and good company. The guide was engaging and entertaining.
Absolutely loved this Chicago pizza walking tour! I’d go again in a heartbeat! We sampled an impressive variety of authentic Chicago pizza styles while our guide shared the fascinating history and evolution of pizza in the city. My personal favorite was Robert’s — it was outstanding, and we even got to chat with the owner! Highly recommended for any pizza lover (or anyone who just wants to eat well in Chicago). No one leaves hungry
Fantastic way to experience some Chicago pizza. James was an excellent guide who provided background and history of pizza in this area. Highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic tour! I’m stuffed! Not only do you get a lot of food but you get a ton of information about the history of pizza and the restaurants you are in. This tour is great if you like food, want to learn a little something, and don’t mind meeting new ppl.
Fascinating pizza history and knowledge. All incredibly different pizzas, but all delicious. Arrive hungry
John was excellent and the restaurants were great. John, a self-proclaimed ‘Pizza Nerd’ was a guide with so much knowledge we enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot. Next time in Chicago do this tour. We even got to try a Turkey dinner pizza at Robert’s.
Our guide was Super knowledgeable. Gave us a great tour with entertaining details and interesting history .
I try to do a food tour in every city I visit and this was one of the best I've done. James was funny, knowledgeable, and super friendly. We are a family of 4, with kids ages 10 and 12 and they had a great time too. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Chicago!
Took amtrack from Wisconsin. Ended up at union station and hour later. We were able to walk to the willis building which was great but lost of where to go after. Took Uber a couple times which is pricey but it was 100 degrees outside so wish I would have gone when it was cooler
OMG the best. So much pizza! We were stuffed. Robert’s was my fave. Our guide was amazing. Fun and funny. Learned a lot.
Relaxed easy going tour good explanation about the different types of pizzas and how they are made enjoyed comparing the different types of pizza
Fantastic tour. James was knowledgeable and entertaining. There were only 5 of us today so the tour was very personalized. We stopped at 4 different type of pizza restaurants each making different styles.
Jamie Martin did a great job quickly building a sense of community among a dozen strangers while we ate ourselves silly at four distinctly different Chicago pizzerias over the course of an afternoon. He was knowledgeable not only of the restaurants and pies we tried, but of notable spots and styles around the country with a focus on connecting to where each member of the group of tourists originated. At the last minute, I’d tried to book the bus tour, but nothing was available during the remainder of our visit, so I grabbed the walking tour. I’m glad I did, not only because of Jamie and our congenial group, but because even a few blocks of walking between venues helped me feel less guilty and more ready to sample the next pizza. After number four, though, all I could imagine was returning the few blocks to our apartment and collapsing for a cheese and carb-induced nap. Zzzz…
Pizza was amazing!!! Our tour guide James was great. Lots of fun facts about pizza and history during our many stops. Great way to taste all the types of pizza the city has to offer!!!
Such a fun tour! Better come hungry! Guide was fantastic, the restaurant owners accessible and engaging. There was a wide variety of pizza types to try. Highly recommend…especially if you have teenage boys like us!
Don’t eat before you go!! You will be plenty surprised at the amount of pizza you will be able to sample.
Jon was an exceptional guide... very knowledgeable about the pizzas and the restaurants we visited. We had a great group also. Highly recommend!
Great afternoon. Visited 4 establishments and tried 4 different styles of pizza. Made me think about what I want to change when making my own pizza at home. Our guide James was amazing. Very informed and made the experience relaxing and fun. Go hungry! You can eat as much or as little as you want. It’s hard to say no to pizza that is so delicious! Highly recommend.
Great selection on different types of pizza. Our guide James, was very knowledgeable on the origins behind each style of pizza.
Great way to get a taste of different Chicago pizza styles with a touch of Chicago history along the way! Highly recommend…come hungry!
James was a quintessential pizza genius. His sense of humor and knowledge about Chicago make this tour a must do. Highly recommend!
A great experience of different types of pizza without buying an entire pizza at each restaurant. It was wrapped in pizza and Chicago history. A good time!
Fantastic tour. Great pizza, the walk was just right, and our guide James was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend!!
Very knowledgeable guide and a good selection of pizza across four different restaurants. Could have been more information about the city itself but overall it was a good tour and delicious pizza (most importantly).
This tour was great. Amazing pizza, fun history, and a super interesting guide, James. I would recommend this tour over and over.
The tour was delicious and informative. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the different pizza places. We really enjoyed the pizza and the tour.
Thank you for this tour the 1st one was definitively our favorite 😁 it's really easy to walk ans the places are perfect to discover a variety of pizza
First, our tour guide James was so knowledgeable and entertaining. He made our tour excellent. Pizza selections and places were spot on. Robert’s is the best. Love the Neapolitan, so yummy 900 degree taste. Roman was a surprise like. The walking was not too much. I would go again and again.
I would recommend anyone and everyone experience this tour!! It’s amazing food, great Chicago culinary history, and at least one handsome bearded tour guide (I think it was James 🤷🏻♀️)
