Really enjoyed our team building outing with Baylor our guide. Lovely afternoon with a bit of history and tasty bites…a perfect combo!
Talia, our guide, was fantastic! The food was great and nothing I would have otherwise tried on my own. Learned about the city and history of Chicago. Highly recommend!
What a fun experience hearing about the gangsters in old Chicago. Talia was a great guide and a lot.of fun. Tour was the perfect length, about 2 hours and the food tastings were good.
Do not eat before going it is a walking tour and it’s a great experience to know what happened in Chicago in the early days
Payton was super friendly, knowledgeable and cool!
Great information. Good food. Loved the steak would go back for more. We had a lot of fun. Our cruise Director Baylor was super nice and knowledgeable.
Really fun tour. Our tour guide Baylor was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable.
Peyton was a great tour guide, we had her all to ourselves and really enjoyed her knowledge and company
Peyton was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour fun. I would definitely do it again. The food was good, the steak was my favorite
The Gangster food and walking tour was a lot of fun. A great way to experience some local food and learn about the City's history.. I signed up for the 11:15am tour..the perfect time to enjoy lunch at the 3 food stops. I happened to be the only guest on this tour, Alan, my tour guide, made sure i was comfortable with the walking pace. The tour length was about 2 hours. I felt the cost was well worth it. Since i was a solo traveler in new city, Alam was able to provide me with unique local food places and activities.
The guide arrives late, only 3 stops which were very brief and you don’t know til you get there that you are 1.5 miles from starting point. We’ve done 12 food tours all over the world and this was the worst.
Food was excellent. Classic Chicago foods. Locations were interesting. Was thinking there would be stories & locations ( not necessarily food). Easy walking.
Guide was very knowledgeable of Chicago history.
Peyton was a fantastic tour guide. She has a bubbly personality and is well versed in the gangster stories. The food was enjoyable. We had steak, pizza, and a hotdog. The walking was at an easy pace. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Enjoy the knowledge you get about the gangsters here from Baylor. Easy walking and yummy tastes for your belly.
Loved the food choices!! Know before you go that you like the food in the description
Had a great tour with the best guide full of gangster history and great food. Really enjoyed! Thanks Payton!
Overall food experience was 10/10 portions were not too fulfilling. Intense history but well enough for kids. And walking was not an issue at all.
Our guide, Baylor was 5 stars Lots of Chicago gangster history Terrific personality Food was great It was sooo much fun
Baylor was greet She knows her Chicago gangster history and it was so great to visit Harry Carays steakhouse The food at all three restaurants were so good I would say this is a must to do when visiting Chicago What a great city I can’t wait to come back
I loved this tour! Our guide, Baylor, was a fantastic storyteller with the right mix of history storytelling and humor😊 She made sure that the group stayed together and had conversations with each of us. There were nine in our group. The food was outstanding and I'm very grateful to the venues we went to. The layout of the tour was perfect: walk a some, learn something new and eat fantastic food! I say a must to do if you're in Chicago! Thank.you for a memorable experience!
Baylor was a great guide, very interesting stories, she was really knowledgable and fun, I noticed she took great care to make sure we stayed together and she spent time with each of us, really appreciate having her as our guide.
Baylor was a great guide and very friendly!
This food tour focussed on the River North area, which was the site of gangster activity in the early 1920s and 1930s. Our tour guide, Peyton, was very knowledgeable and added some humor - she did a great job! The tour was just the right amount of walking for our group, and the destinations were so interesting! It was also the right amount of "tastings". However, the description indicated 2 types of pizza; our group had only one. Just a minor suggestion: add a sweet tasting to the tour!
It was a great experiance. Peyton was very knowledgeable.
Talia is a phenomenal storyteller and a wealth of knowledge about mob and mafia history. We had a great time, and the food was excellent!
Our guide was phenomenal and the food was good. The only complaint is the length for the price. It should have been longer, with more stories, for the cost.
Despite less than ideal weather, walking tour was great. Moved along well. While the food was good, the tour guide, Talia, really made the day. She was exceptional in her presentation and lots of fun.
So the tour description stated that we would get 2 different types of pizza but we only had one. It also stated that we would see a mansion that was once a brothel which we did not. Kind of disappointing
Peyton was fun! She had great energy & loved the vibe but the stops & food did NOT reflect what we read & what was purchased. We did not get to try the Tavern Pizza even though it was listed & we did not visit the gangster mansion that used to be a brothel. The only reason I’m harping on this is because this experience was a tad expensive & it was explicitly listed as being part of the tour. So we are pretty disappointed on not getting those 2 listed things.
The walk is short, the food was good and the stories interesting. We took lots of photos had a wonderful time!
A quick tour with some fun facts about the mob influence in Chicago. In regards to the food you will sample 3 Chicago staples that were ok but could have been more authentic. Our tour guide was great and knowledgeable and very animated.
Peyton was fantastic! She was knowledgeable and entertaining! Tour was fun! Food was good. Harry Carrey basement was my fav.
Talia was an awesome guide. I learned so much about Chicago history and the food here. 10/10 would recommend this tour for others.
Guide was very good and knowledgeable
We really enjoyed the walking food tour! Peyton was friendly and knowledgeable about the subject as well as very entertaining. We would recommend this tour.
Peyton was a great guide and we enjoyed all of the stops. The stories were very interesting. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic tour. Excellent combination of gangster lore and food! Our guide Baylor had a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend.
Hour to a guide was very informative and personable. The walk around town was very manageable even in the 90 degree weather, with perfectly timed stops at the local restaurants.
Peyton was fantastic. My family and I had a wonderful time!
Enjoyable way to learn a bit about gangster history and try a bit of Chicago food.
This was a fun quick tour of a nice part of the city. The food we tried was really good. It was fun learning about gang violence. Would recommend if you want to get a cultural food experience. Payton did a great job and knew her stuff.
If I could give more stars, I absolutely would. Peyton was our guide and she nailed it! Funny, friendly, and informative - I could not have asked for a better guide. Food was great! My mom is 81, and we were a little worried about the walking part of it, but it was fine for her too! Enough breaks and a slow enough pace. Please go!!
Peyton was a real trooper. It rained for the first half of the tour but she carried on!
We had a blast! Food was great and Baylor was an excellent tour guide. She was a fantastic storyteller and provided a great experience!
Our tour with Baylor was great she was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Great mix of history and food- guide Brailor was great. Historical details were fun and she was knowledgeable.
The history of the Italian and Irish gangster gangs is very captivating and the tastings of local specialties are excellent
