Found places we wouldn’t have gone without this tour. Dash also gave advise on roof top bar to visit after tour which was fantastic. Definitely worth doing while visiting Chicago

I have never experienced a tour guide who was so thoroughly prepared and so incredibly well versed in so many subjects beyond the scope of the tour itself. Dash brought the city to life with stories, insight, and a depth of knowledge that made the experience truly unforgettable. You could tell how much he loves the city and how passionate he is about sharing it with others. If you get the chance to take this tour, do it. And absolutely ask for Dash. You will not be disappointed!

Best Chicago food tour ! We have taken Food tours for the past 15 years. This is one of the best we’ve ever had many thanks to Chad, who gave us the best advice and the best experience learning about the best food to Chicago.

Dash was a great guide. Really engaging and informative speaker, who has also mastered the art of walking backwards! Well-paced tour, got to see some things we definitely wouldn’t have found by ourselves.

I would not recommend Intrepid Urban Adventures Chicago as a company to do business with. I purchased a tour for myself and 6 out of state colleagues. Due to an unforeseeable issue the morning of the tour, two of our colleagues had to return back to work and could not attend the tour. I reached out to Urban Adventures to ask for a credit to use for future tours or a voucher to gift to others for the services not rendered. Not only was I denied a credit or voucher, I was offered a 15% discount to use toward future services. Definitely not the way to foster future business. I would not recommend using this company for tours. Find a company that is willing to work with clients who have reasonable requests. As for the tour itself. It was okay. The designated stops were very basic. Again, I think there are better tour companies available that are willing to work with clients to create future business.

We booked a private food tour and we had a lot of fun. Not only that we talked about the food but we knew a lot about the history of the City. We came here with 0 expectations yet we were surprised of how good the art and culture here is. Dash was very accommodating, he asked about our preferences and he gave us extra tips for the rest of our stay.

Our tour guide Don was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the history of food as well as Chicago in general. The walk from restaurant to restaurant was easy and very enjoyable even on a wintry day. My 18-year-old son and I really enjoyed the tour. Something good for families with older children.

First, I want to state the positive of this exhibition. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional. With that said, there were several downsides. First, the company stated that the time opening we requested was not available (I.e. 3 pm). There was a miscommunication between the guide and the booking company as the guide was expecting the time requested versus the time that was assigned (one hour later). Our entire party had to scramble to meet our guide otherwise risk losing reservations with one of the restaurants. Being a former person working downtown Chicago and having some city knowledge, riding the L-train (in my opinion) was a sort of a downer. The tour never mentioned anything about walking (as their competitors did). One of the people in our group was handicap and this is not a handicap friendly tour. The food was mediocre. I think everyone mentioned that the pizza was not appetizing with the sausage on it and many didn’t feel well afterward. The only beverage was water and I would expected soft drinks with the cost of the tour. If I was to do it again, I would have pick and chose my own if you are just wanting a Chicago food culture background.

The walking food tour was so great. Love the city views of the Chigao food scene. Rich, our tour guide was amazing. We kept a gggood walking pace while privvibg some city history info. I had such a great time on this food tour today! Rich was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and so welcoming from the start. The group was small and intimate, which made it easy to chat and enjoy the experience together. We stopped at some amazing local spots, including Lou Malnati’s for deep-dish pizza, a classic steak sandwich place, and a fun hot dog stop. I’m vegetarian, and Rich made sure I was catered to at every stop, which I really appreciated! The tour was a great mix of delicious food, Chicago history, and fun conversation. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a more personal and authentic food tour experience in the city!
