Wonderfully spooky tour! The guide was very informative & you could tell he is passionate about what he talking about. Went to several different stops and even got to play with some ghost hunting equipment!
Tony was great. He was so knowledgeable and an excellent historian. I would definitely recommend this tour!!
I have been to other ghost tours, and this was the worst. It felt like I went to a Chicago history class, not a ghost tour. It was raining, so we couldn't get off much. Then, the whole ride my partner and I were trying hard not to fall asleep during the storytelling. I expected a creepy ghost tour with more ghost sightings and talk. This should be retitled " Chicago history tour, try not to fall asleep." This is NOT worth wasting 60 dollars to be on a bus learning history; you can do that for free elsewhere. There are cheaper tours that do exactly what this tour did.
Great tour, really appreciate the bus. Got to see more of the city during the drive. The price was great for the length of the tour.
The tour guide was amazing. She knew all the history. It was great to know things we didn’t know. The bus driver on the other hand, gave us a whiplash and should never be allowed to drive downtown.
Very fun informative tour. Loved the history. Highly recommended.
Great Value! Cemetery Larry is a great story teller. Highly recommend! Would do this tour again anytime!
I'm always up for a ghost tour. I actually like hearing grim history, and like any large city, Chicago has plenty. (The tour guide apologetically mentioned it was a bit of a downer, but then I expect that on a ghost tour.) The start and end point, the Congress Plaza Hotel, is supposedly very haunted. We heard plenty of spooky stories about it. The tour takes you by numerous spots where tragedies occurred, although the site of the St. Valentine's Day massacre in 1929 is now a parking lot. The Iriquois Theatre, site of one of the worst fire disasters in history, still stands but is now known as the Nederlander, and the alley where patrons jumped to their deaths (known as Death Alley) is still haunted. The guide gave us two readers and tried to communicate with any spirits present, and I got readings, plus we watched her use a dowsing gem to communicate. Because it was night, it was a bit hard to see some things, but what's the point of doing a ghost tour during the day? I still saw enough to make the tour worth it.
Larry was an amazing tour guide!! He mad it fun spooky and educational. Very funny guy!!! He got everyone involved and the tour was somewhat interactive. Me and my Fiancée had an amazing time!
It was rainy, but informative, interesting, and fun! Our guide was very knowledgeable and let us use EMF readers and dowsing rods to ghost hunt on our own. Even though we all got soaked, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and I’d recommend this to anyone who’s interested in the paranormal and/or interested in learning more about Chicago’s history, that you might not learn about on other tours or in museums.
Very informative. Lots of history about the city. Nice comfy bus ride, with bathroom which is a plus. Was raining very hard so we couldn't get out and explore.
We did this tour as a part of a Wedding anniversary adventure for my husband and I and this did not disappoint. We wanted to experience a ghost tour of chicago and came across this option with a package deal with the torture museum. Our tour guide Joann was a wealth of knowledge and even taught us how to use some ghost finding equipment. I learned so much about chicago and haunted places it was just a fun experience. If you into the macabre and ghost and spookyness then this is well worth it.
It was so much fun, I would def recommend that anyone visiting Chicago do this ghost tour!! You won’t regret it.
Well it's not their fault but the police presence downtown was a little unnerving. I would also recommend bring a snack. Other than that it was a great time.
This was an amazing mix of Chicago history, ghost stories, and paranormal activity! Just the perfect amount of riding in bus and walking outside.
Our guide was absolutely wonderful. This was a great experience. Riding the bus, you’re able to see sights you would normally miss just walking.
So much fun. Just the right amount of history and mystery. Not too spooky for my 4th grader. It was cold but only spent about 40 minutes or so outside.
The guides were awesome! Super informative. The bus was luxurious and we’re able to see many parts of the city.
this is the 3rd tour with this company i have been on. i took my daughter for her birthday and she loved it she is a big history buff and she likes true crime so this tour was right up her alley. tony was our guide and he is not short of details. any question we had he was quick to know the answer. he had personal experiences he shared with the group. he also had ghost hunting tools that he shared with the group as well. i will be booking again.
Lots of chicago history that has spooky backgrounds. Wish it could have been longer. Tony knows his stuff.
Tony and Sadie were awesome! They were very informative. Everyone seemed excited about the presentation!
Excellent tour! The guides were very knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable for all ages. According to the dowsing rods, the response from someone in the alley of the Iroquois Theater was that they'd like to be remembered.
Terrible! Do not book. You will sit with strangers and not with your family. Very disorganized. Terrible service. I walked out given I couldn’t enjoy the tour with my family. Why even go if you have to sit with strangers because these tour operators over book it and are disorganized.
We learned about the little know disasters that happened in chicago. Didnt see any ghosts but heard about hauntings in the area
Very informative, really great tour. Tour guide was excellent. Loved hearing some of Chicago history.
DO NOT BOOK THIS Tour!!!! Guide and driver are extremely unprofessional. Check in process is useless. They left me behind with my wife on the bus. Then made sarcastic remarks on the PA system to the entire bus. Never once checking us in as well. Content is weak and delivery was as if the guide was talking to 4 year old children. We ended up walking off the tour. We were not going to waste our vacation time listening to a terrible tour. Then the tour refused to refund any of the ticket price hiding behind “our policy” on leaving the tour. We left the tour because it was horrible and unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY!!
Very nice tour and history given, guid was very knowledgeable and went into great detail on the history and stories of old Chicago!
Tour guide was great....definitely knowledgable about Chicago haunting history! Would recommend the tour.
The bus never showed up very 😡 we were looking forward to a good time and was very disappointed. Very unprofessional and having a hard time recovering my money
Great tour! So interesting to learn the history behind these sightings. Tony was a great guide. I would highly recommend taking one of his tours.
Just went this pass Saturday, it was good and interesting however in the post it says there would be bathroom break and can get something to eat during this 3 hour tour-nothing was bought up either about bathroom breaks or eating.
Tony is the best tour guide ever. His stories were great and he knows so much about Chicago history.
Our son was living his best life w the EMF ready the guide let him use. A very interactive experience.
Did this tour during a recent trip to Chicago. Our guide Tony was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and informative as well as enjoyable to listen too. I'd recommend this tour for anyone visiting Chicago.
This tour told the awesome history of Chicago people and architecture. The bus stopped at key locations and allowed time to immerse in the locations we learned about. The bus driver was safe and friendly and the tour guide was excellent. We highly recommend this tour as a way to cruise through the windy city's past.
Loved this ghost tour! We learned a lot about the history of Chicago and got to explore the city from a warm bus. Our guide was very knowledgeable!
Joanna was really good at story telling.. Just wish we could have gotten off the bus more and gone into places..
Really enjoyed the history of the old gangster action which was where delinger got ambushed and overall learned so much of the city in a short time
Was a 3 hour bus ride. The information given was not accurate Joanne the tour guide talked to us as we were children. And we paid 130.00 to look at the city. I do not recommend this tour. There was no mention of half the things we were supposed to do.
Experience went smoothly. Met in the lounge/lobby of Congress hotel, bus was comfortable, and made 5 stops. Tony was a great guide and storyteller. He was full of knowledge and easy to understand. Definitely a must!
I had a really good time, the tour guide was informative and actually been on investigations which made it more interesting.
Tony and Jen know their stuff and explained everything well. I appreciated their knowledge base without the exaggerated theatrics that I’ve seen other tour guides do. Comfortable coach bus too. If I could tweak one thing, it would be less gangster stops. I know they were trying to cater to everyone and I respect that aspect. My family would rather have gone to Archer Avenue, Resurrection Cemetery and St James Sag Church area. The traffic Halloween weekend was brutal and they had no control over traffic. Just would rather have spent less time in Lincoln Park and maybe traveled south. Either way, Tony and Jen were great and I would do another tour of a different location with them.
Joann (sp?) was our tour guide - she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, engaging and presented everything very well. She was excited to share all the spooky stories and little tidbits of history. The tour itself was cool and well paced, we met at the Congress (which was also our first stop), Couch tomb at Chicago history museum, death alley just to name a few. Each time, our guide had a great story to share with each location. The way she presented it, you could tell she deeply knew her history and it wasn’t scripted or rehearsed and shared many of the dark, gory details that usually goes hand in hand with haunted history. There were a few in the group that kept interrupting with questions that our guide was building up to with her story - it was irritating but she kept her cool and was patient with them. All in all it was a great tour and definitely would recommend to anyone wanting an informative and spooky tour. Also, our bus driver was amazing at navigating the crowded downtown area in that big behemoth of a bus.
Could not hear tour guide due to broken microphone. Door jammed on the bus. Had to be rescued by the fire department. I have video to prove this. After crawling out of the bus window, we were left standing there no idea where we were. Tried calling and emailed company. Think I received a response? NO!!! Avoid this tour!
Tony was amazing. And the tour was really great. It was very interactive and fun An absolute must if you are into the para
Very interesting haunted history of Chicago. Love the fact that you could read more about these stories in actual books people have written. Just proves these stories are for real and not just a hoax.
We really enjoyed our tour, Joann was/is very knowledgeable and made the experience even more memorable!
Loved our tour guide! He was very informative and seriously brought the history to life. Also thought it was an amazing opportunity to be able to use ghost hunting tools first hand.
Really fun and informative! Tour guide was great. He was friendly and fun to go on a tour with. They even let us use some equipment to investigate ourselves which was really awesome! Just overall 10/10! I plan to book another tour with this company!
