Avery was amazing. Made the tour fun. Made us laugh. Knew his history. Answered questions with precision. Lasted about an hour and 45 minutes.

Itinerary
Start the tour outside Chicago’s legendary Palmer House, where Gilded Age luxury met the Underworld. You'll learn about how notorious mob boss Al Capone frequented the glamorous Empire Ballroom, using it as his personal speakeasy playground.
Stop outside one of America's most haunted hotels, where Al Capone managed his criminal empire from an 8th-floor suite. Hear legendary ghost stories and the mysterious shadows said to haunt the hallways.
As we cruise through scenic Grant Park, look beyond the lake views to uncover Chicago’s darkest era. Learn how the 1893 World’s Fair brought millions to the city, and directly into the trap of H.H. Holmes, America’s first document serial killer.
Right in the heart of the Loop, we pause at the site of one of the Mob’s boldest daylight hits. Hear the jaw-dropping story of the Tony Lombardo assassination right on the busy city streets.
Pause outside the deadliest single-building fire in U.S. history: the 1903 Iroquois Theatre tragedy. Learn about the notorious rear alleyway known ever since as "Death Alley."
Cross the LaSalle Street Bridge over the Chicago River and revisit the tragic morning of July 24, 1915. Learn about Chicago's worst maritime disaster and the spirits that are still known to haunt the waters.
Step straight into true mob history! Harry Caray’s building was once owned by Frank Nitti, Al Capone’s notorious enforcer known as "The Enforcer." Head inside and view the hidden underground tunnel and secret vault uncovered beneath the building.
Step off the bus in River North to examine real history carved into stone. Inspect the actual bullet scars left on the cornerstone of Holy Name Cathedral from a gangland hit.
Step out along the Chicago River for photos and active ghost hunting! Capture views while learning how the river played a deadly role in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Reviews
The initial price listed seems a bit expensive, but once you do the tour, it is totally worth it. Our tour guide, Griffin, was ridiculously funny, which helped lighten the mood during some horrible ghost stories.
Very knowledgeable guide. Al
Avery was a wonderful guide! He was funny, kind, knowledgeable, and kept us laughing and entertained the entire time. The only thing I wish the tour had was a drive up to where the Valentine's Day Massacre happened. I'd done that on a tour previously, and was thinking it would be part of this one.
Griffin was an EXCELLENT tour guide! He kept calm, cool and funny despite some of the worst traffic due to a festival in Grant park that had multiple road closures. We had a group of 9 and he was attentive to some extra mobility needs and made it a great tour we all enjoyed! Ages 11-84 and highly recommend!!
Griffon was our guide and he did a great job. Very friendly, well spoken and knowledgeable.
It was a fantastic and informative tour with lots of information. It was worth every dollar that was spent. The 2 hour eight PM tour was wonderful and the atmosphere was as advertised. The tour was full and the staff were super entertaining and very insightful. This tour is best for couples, singles, and adults who are interested in the seedier side of Chicago history with a touch of ghost stories at landmarks.
Great tour! The tour guide was very thorough and engaging
Very accurate on the historical events discussed. You can tell research has been done
The stories were good lots of information. Some stops should be longer than others. There was some lag time a little bit. but it was great to learn the history of all of it. Our driver was very informative..
Griffin was great! Very informative.
The guide, Griffin, was very fun and helpful, and the stories were very interesting.
It was a great tour and our tour guide was excellent. Very good information and stories make the time go very fast.
Griffin was a great guide and very knowledgeable
We had Adam. Thank you for a great tour!
I am very picky about tours, and I think this one was fantastic. It was a perfect combination of paranormal and history. I really appreciated the tour guide’s style which was engaging and knowledgeable without being theatrical and gimmicky. The bus was very comfortable and I liked the smaller group. My only critique would be for children to cost less. $65 felt a little steep for a 6 year old, but I understand that since space is limited, the tour operator would want to fill the seats at that price point. Overall, we don’t regret it and would definitely recommend it.
This is our first time in Chicago and we wanted to take a tour that provided some local history in a fun way. Our tour guide was Adam and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were very happy with the tour and Adam, highly recommend this tour.
A wonderful experience with great stories about Capone et al plus some creepy ghost stories. The time flew by.
