Great experience. Breath taking views
The customer support was not good. Mostly attraction was closed
GoCity was extremely helpful for our group of 6 to affordably experience Chicago! For some of us it was our first time and it made the planning beyond successful for this trip! My wife and I have used it for 3 cities now and have never been disappointed!
Good value and easy to get around the city.
I recently had a very disappointing experience with Go City customer support regarding reservations made through their app. I was trying to book attractions for 19th May, and the app initially asked me to enter the intended pass date. However, despite this, the bookings for 360 Chicago and Skydeck Chicago were somehow made for 7th May instead. The app design is confusing and not intuitive, as it appears to ignore the selected pass date during attraction booking. When I realised the mistake, I immediately contacted support. The chatbot system was frustrating to navigate, repeatedly failing to recognise my order details before finally directing me to a live agent. Unfortunately, the live support experience was equally disappointing. Although I explained clearly that this was an honest mistake caused by the confusing booking flow, the agent simply repeated the cancellation policy and refused to help in any way. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of empathy or flexibility. I understand businesses have policies, but when an app design issue contributes to a customer error, I would expect at least some attempt to assist, especially when significant money is involved. Instead, I was effectively told that because the bookings were marked as “no show,” nothing could be done. To make matters worse, the agent abruptly closed the chat after asking if there was anything else they could assist with, without giving me a proper opportunity to respond or continue the conversation. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, the customer service felt scripted, inflexible, and unwilling to consider genuine circumstances. The booking system needs to be made much clearer, and support staff should be empowered to handle obvious user errors more reasonably. Very disappointing experience.
It made our visit to Chicago easier to navigate. Present your passes and go. Making reservations was easy. If we could not make the time of a reservation we could cancel and reschedule easily.
Fast and efficient! Getting in was a breeze.
Great experience, we enjoyed a lot!! Excellent service, we didn't have problems with our tickets. If you could add the institute of art to the attractions, that would be great.
I've done these in several cities and they never let me down. They are a good tool for trip planning. The pass is very easy and convenient to redeem.
Horrible service, limited selection of advance attraction (only 9 of 50 were advance). Going direct to attraction site gets discounts and guaranteed placement and you don't have to deal with a helpline that really can't do anything for you other than say check the ap. Very poor experience.
The pass was hard to redeem on some attractions. Mainly the Seadog boat rides. In theory is a good deal since you can use as many as you can fit in your schedule. However, there are only so many hours in a day and k7ds don't have that much stamina.
I have used the Go City app on several occasions to different cities. It is a great way to visit various attractions and save money while visiting cities that you haven't been to before. My wife and I just have a great visit to Chicago getting visit several of the top attractions of the city.
For it to be worth it you need to cram in a bunch. Sone attractions had limited times it would accept the go city pass also. We had a great day though in Chicago
Go City offers a great deal to explore Chicago. Planned out our days to get the most out of the pass, and it was an amazing experience!
Fantastic views so much to do. The tours were great and informative. The view from the towers were breath taking. The pier was so much fun.
We only had two days, and we never would have done so many different things if we’d had to manage narrowing down which attractions to see and paying full price for each of them one by one without our Go City passes. My husband and I did a ton of things and saved close to $500 in just two days. Loved the walking tour, the shoreline tour, the River architecture tour, the flyover ride at navy pier, the illusions museum, the aquarium, the tall 360 view, the American Writers Museum, and many other things!
Fantastic Tour done through the pass. Almost all major tourist destinations were covered which we couldn’t had done individually.
We enjoyed visiting Chicago and our experience, however, getting our tickets and navigating could be difficult. I was very upset to learn we could only do one water tour per day. I should be able to set my own schedule. Directions to places were poor at best. Chicago itself was great.
I chaperoned a group of teenagers from my county. They had not been to Chicago before, so I wanted them to see as much as they could. The 3-day inclusive pass is definitely the way to go! The only issue was when a couple of the places wanted my credit card to guarantee the reservation, and/or I couldn't speak with someone to figure out how to reserve.
We really enjoy using the GoCity pass. The App is is easy to use. Scanning for entry is very quick. Booking attractions that require reservations is very straight forward. We usually make a plan on what we want to see and fill in time with nearby attractions. Having the pass allows us to just see what we want at each location without feeling obligated to spend the whole day to get our money worth.
Best option for seeing the sights around town. If you’re specifically going to Chicago, and have the time, get the unlimited pass. I did three days. Prepare for a lot of walking.
Experience was very well, I do highly recommend getting the pass as it helps save a lot of money. We got the one day all inclusive pass because that’s the only one that included the aquarium. Everything was good up until we did a sightseeing tour; the lady who scanned our passes accidental selected the wrong tour (we wanted architect tour, she put in skyline tour) they weren’t able to reverse the mistake on their end because the pass only allows for one tour and once one is selected that’s it. So they advised me to call the customer support, which I did and it was a total headache talking to someone who could hardly understand me nor could I understand them, not to be rude. After 45 minutes of talking to customer service and the representative still not understanding why I was calling, the manager of the tours seen how frustrated I was getting and gave us free vouchers! Everything was good again for a while until I went to book our reservations for the 360 Chicago. I was not able to do so on the app, so I tried chatting with customer service via text and they told me all the time frames were unavailable for the rest of the evening. I got onto 360 website and seen MULTIPLE time frames open. So I called customer service and explained my issue and that on the website I see open availability. They in the end said there was nothing they could do. This being another main attraction that led us to even getting the passes in the first place, I still really wanted to go so we had no choice but to pay another $175 for the attraction. When we arrived we were talking to the workers at 360 Chicago and they informed us that all we had to do was come in person to make our reservation since we were pass holders and they did not understand why Go City did not let us aware of that. At that point they couldn’t refund the second set of tickets we had to purchase. I was upset we had to spend that amount of money when all we had to do was go in person and not a single representative from Go City was able to tell me that. So all the money I had “saved” by purchasing these passes I ended up having to actually spend all because they didn’t inform me how to properly make the reservation
We visited a lot of interesting landmarks and went on interesting excursions thanks to the Go City Pass. I really recommend it.
Great experience, we were 2 families in total 9 and we enjoy it a lot, we made 12 activities in total in 3 days, we did 4 activities per day, we planned by location and we defined some time to expend in each one, to move from another to another, we liked a lot the museums and the buildings views.
The GoCity pass was a game-changer for my family! It allowed us to plan our days while staying flexible, which made our trip so much more enjoyable. Typically, when families spend money on attractions, there’s pressure to stay longer just to get their money’s worth—but with GoCity, that stress disappeared. Our 10 year old's favorite attraction was the graffiti class in Uptown. It was a little out of the city but totally worth it! We could explore at our own pace, making the trip feel more relaxed and fun. We’ll definitely use GoCity again in another city if we get the chance!
Almost everything was great! The only disappointment was the cancellation of our Mobsters and Haunted Mysteries Of Chicago Walking Tour. The Tour company decided to cancel it because there were not enough guests for the tour. That Tour was one of the reasons I decided for the Go City pass that is more expensive than other city passes. Also we couldn’t ride the Centennial Wheel…I still doesn’t know why because on the website was available but there were no one to attend us over there, the ride was closed but no signs of schedule availability’s
Bought the “all inclusive “ pass and half of the attractions were closed or sold out… but open for the explorer pass .. mmm I’m pretty sure they can add the boat trip to the all inclusive pass from the ones running in the explorer pass . At least one .. seems odd that if you pay the cheapest pass you can pick a boat trip but if you pay the all inclusive pass there’s no boats running on the season lol … so how it’s off season for one but still open and running for the other one ? It’s all a scam … just go with the cheapest one and do the same 5 attractions
What an amazing city beautiful skyline. So much to do with the Go City pass so many choices. The entertainering driver on the hop on off bus. The Bean at Millennium park. 360 Chicago wow what a view. Shedd Aquarium I love the Beluga. Into the stars at the Adler planatariun. What a rush on the Seadog Architecture boat tour. The highs from the Millennium wheel. The haunted gangster tour was so interesting. The pass was such a great deal I saved so much money. Fully recommended 🙂
Great bang for your buck and easy to book your activities. Great value. I will definitely buy ti's pass every time on vacation.
I brought chicago all inclusive city pass for my family for October 2024. When I started to visit places children museum in chicago said I have to pay for my infant and I paid 26$ for him . Some attractions said it's height requirement for my children. They said your children can not go inside because of height. Some places allow only some attractions inside. You have to pay extra if you have to do some activities. My children not fun at all. Please refund money for my children pass. You can reach me out on hir_patel1988@yahoo.com
Had to cancel trip last minute due to family emergency. Cancelled through their website like the rep on the phone told us to. Received an email 2 days later saying they would only be refunding 1/2 of what we paid because we used 2 days worth. Umm no! We had reservations but cancelled them due to not being able to make the trip. We did everything we were told to on their website to cancel and request a refund only to be told by the e rep on the phone that we did not do it correctly. I am sure it is a language barrier issue. Will not be using this again!!! EVER!!! Don’t do it!!
We purchased GoCity tickets for a family trip to Chicago. Unfortunately, while the trip was amazing, the GoCity purchase did not live up to the savings that we expected. Many of the things that we wanted to do thru the GoCity options were not available - even though both GoCity’s app and the individual websites for these items showed that they were open. Overall, there is a lot to do in Chicago & I do not think that GoCity is the partner that you should utilize.
The value in the card was excellent. My only complaint is that the bus tours were disappointing this time. The pre-recorded stuff is boring. I have done the hop on hop off several times and I always enjoyed the drivers perspective and personal approach to the tour. The people working on the sidewalks weren't always very friendly and mostly seemed annoyed when we had questions.
The passes did not work correctly and customer service took forever to get ahold of then was very rude, dismissive and unhelpful. Only was able to use one of the three days we purchased and they denied even partial refund.
It was a fantastic way to see as many Chicago attractions in a short amount of time. We went all out and saw lots in our 2 day pass ! It worked out value for money !
So much to see and do!! Good value but GREAT value the more you do. 👏 Esoecualky good was the Big Bus Tours abd the skyscraper offers..
They have limited tickets to major attractions and require reservations. They don't let you reserve well in advance and run out of available tickets. I called the sears towers directly and they seemed to have plenty of tickets but go-city couldn't offer any tickets.
Awesome pass, we could do so many activities, went to so many museums, the aquarium, the planetarium, Chicago activities, tours, all included
Go City Pass for Boston was a good value...many options. We enjoy the hop on, hop off bus to start and then choose what we want to do... We did many tours. The Liberty Ride was awesome!
The best deal in town. So many choices and for so little money. Anyone seeking to spend more than a few days in Chicago should buy the Go City Pass.
website is broken, they make it so hard that you cannot book it, waste of time. Broken website, no clear instructions. Dont waste your money
Excellent value for money - really enjoyed using the GoCity app to find out what we could do over the three days we were there. Really easy to use - and meant we were able to cram in as much as possible!!
Go Trip City Pass allowed us to plan out trip better. Inclusive Pass allows 37 attractions. We could short list best attractions out of the lot and could cover most of it in 3 days. Hop On Bus allows 2 days hopping between different attractions.
An excellent decision to have bought these passes, we had already bought them a year ago for New York and on both occasions they have worked perfectly for us. Without lines at the most important attractions, you have the possibility to reserve a date and time at some, which makes entry much easier. The pass is digital, which makes access much easier and faster with its QR code. I highly recommend her.
Go pass is a great option and website is very clear. covered lots of attractions and saved huge money. Customer support was very good and always helped us. Thank you, Go City.
That was easy to use. We appreciate all the visit that we did. We rent it for 3 days. The architectural tour was amazing with Seadog tour! We loved the Pier, the Flyout. We went to 360 at sunset and the Skydeck in the morning. I recommed to do like this. When we will go back to Chicago, we will take it again.
It was a very usefull tool to visit the City! It was easy, cheaper and nice! With the app we made our experience really amazing
The passes are expensive but we really took advantage of them. Getting in to the attractions was easy and the planning tool in the app was helpful to get us organized.
Chicago was amazing! A lots of things to do and see. It was very easy to get into the attractions. Definitely I would consider Go City in a next trip.
