It was a fun tour but I wish we would have seen a little bit more or would have been able to get off the bus and take pictures at some of the spots pointed out. The guide was fun. The music was fun but just a little too loud.

Lots of fun, lots of interesting facts about Chicago's underworld.
We absolutely enjoyed our tour with Westside Winnie. I watched her handle two people who complained with such skill as to not ruin the experience for others. She is an amazing tour guide so knowledgeable and steps into character very well!
Very informative on the period history and sites we saw. Marie was very knowledgeable but it would have been a better experience if the tour guide and driver were dressed in period costumes (Wide lapel coats, straw hats, and flapper dresses, etc.). Music was entertaining but a bit too loud at times.
Even though our tour was cancelled due to mechanical issues, the guide was quite empathetic and the site management called us to discuss options. While we would have rather had the tour they handled the situation professionally and acceptably. We booked a different tour later that day.
Informative, comedic, great to see outskirts of Chicago. Guide was fabulous: energetic and engaging!
Marie was a great tour guide. She was knowledgeable, funny, and efficient. In addition to learning about Chicago gangsters, she gave a lot of information about the history and architecture of the city.
The tour guide was amazing. From start to finish he kept the stories coming. He even had us raffle tickets for prizes. We highly recommend this tour.
It was so engaging and fun from start to finish! Marie Genco was such a fantastic storyteller and her quick humor had me laughing the whole ride! Would absolutely do this tour again!
A very entertaining and informative way to see the city.
Fun and educational. Saw parts of the city that I had never seen and learned an incredible amount about the Chicago gangsters from an upbeat, fun, knowledgeable tour guide (Marie).
We really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the mob. The big drawback is the long time (our tour ran late) on the bus with no stops. My husband had to go to the bathroom very badly towards the end of the trip.
The tour was awesome. Easy to find starting point. Our guide, Winnie Westside was awesome. She kept us entertained throughout the presentation and made learning the history of the gangsters very enjoyable. We took our 11 and 13 year-olds and they enjoyed it although likely missed some of the jokes. It's also a great way to see some of the city you may otherwise miss. Highly recommend.
What a fun time! Our guide was charming and funny. What interesting historic stories! The only down side was we were not able to get off the bus to take pictures or get a good enough view from inside the bus.
Not as informative as I expected
The location of the tour isn't a building but a spot on the street. I frantically walked the street several times before noticing a bus that people were getting on. If that information was in the description, I didn't see it. Tour was very good, guide was entertaining. Not able to find the location lost my rating a star.
The tour was quite informative and the guide not only shared gangster stories, but also described other points of interest along the way and told us about the various neighborhoods and their history. There was also a raffle for gangster-themed souvenirs at the end. My only reason for not recommending this tour is that the first part of the ride was extremely bumpy for about 15 minutes with the bus that was used. I was extremely uncomfortable and came back with a painful neck.
Interesting tour. .There was too much music playing. More story telling could be done. Would recommend
Wonderful guide. Added much more about Chicago than just gangsters. Would highly recommend to visitors
Our trip leader was excellent. We learned a lot about the early gangsters of Chicago. She kept it moving with history and humor.
Excellent way to see the city and learn about local history! The tour was fun and informative. Marie was very engaging and well spoken, very enjoyable experience
Our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The passengers were encouraged to participate in answering questions and at the end of the tour join in a drawing for a giveaway gift to the winner.
No stops to get off and see things. Only bus ride. A booklet would have told me all that did. Do not recommend
Pick up spot was difficult to find. Several people, including us, missed the tour. The coordinator just said, last one today. No follow up
This tour was awesome! We loved how historical and engaging this tour was. We loved the prizes and bullet holes. My tour guides name was Marie.
This tour was not only fun but so informative. It’s a must experience tour when you get to the Windy City.
Fun and interesting ride. The tour guide was dressed as a gangster and was very entertaining. Drove through parts of Chicago we would have not gone on our own. Overall it was an entertaining couple of hours spent on a rainy day.
Would totally recommend this tour! We are Chicagoans but we got clarity on a number of things that we have always been vaguely aware of. For out-of-towners it's a fun, easy way to learn about Chicago's past. The tour leader was knowledgeable and put humor into facts that would otherwise be kind of dark. Good for kids. Conveniently located pick-up and drop-off. We took the tour on a rainy day so it turned out to be the perfect way to see the city and avoid the weather.
Our tour guide Johnny made the tour. He was hilarious and informative, goofy and a wise guy, a real hoot. We saw neighborhoods I wasn’t expecting to see, like Chinatown and Lincoln Park, which was a bonus. The only catch was no bathroom on board and no stops made. I think a rest stop would be a nice addition.
Overall we enjoyed the tour. Our guide was great! The tour itself had some lag to it, music playing, etc. It appeared to only have one pickup and drop-off location when booking but apparently not. We spent the first 20 minutes driving not too far and just waiting for others to join. Once they joined, bits of the information was repeated two more times to catch the others up. Part of the route was closed for a festival they were unaware of so we didn't get to see some things.
So fun! Great stories told and a great to see the city!
An afternoon well spent. Wanted to get the history of all the gangsters
Great tour! Tell Johnny Rocco Scott sent you.
Been to Chicago many times before but had never taken this tour. A fun way to hear a bit of history and see parts of the city we never really venture to. Marie was a great guide and kept the trip entertaining
Loved this tour! Marie was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The bus was very comfortable, air conditioned and we could plug our phones in to charge.
Wonderful tour. Two-Gap Johnny was great!
It was fun and the person giving the tour was in character with his clothing and accent. He really had the gangster era down pat and was funny too. We toured neighborhoods of where gangsters had hung out and were shown areas where Dillinger got shot and the St. Valentine's Day massacre, for example. My main reason for taking a trip to Chicago was to go on the Gangster Tour and I was not disappointed.
So fun and so interesting. Our tour guide was excellent. Really glad we did it!!
There is no office to check in at, you meet on the sidewalk and the location is not marked. We were relieved to find the right bus. Marie was an excellent hostess and gave us a lot of information along with sites from around Chicago.
Second time taking this tour over the last ten years. Last time we had our young adult sons with us, this time just me and my husband. Heard a lot more of the history, liked the pamphlet and photos to follow along with the mobsters history. Comfortable seats, sound was good, host was funny, and informative.
Charged for the tour but didn't even get to go. They left us at the curb waiting to go and called ahead too but they still left.
I’m a little disappointed in the level of research… several of the points made were incorrectly oversensationalized. However, my tour guide was awesome, and ‘ fairly sure had nothing to do with the less accurate aspects. She had great comedic timing, was so sweet and absolutely deserves praise. Big shout out to Marie Genko of the Genko pure olive oil company!
Very friendly driver and host. Funny and informative. Really enjoyed the experience and a plus my husband won a mug! 😁
Sun 28th was a hot morning. We walked 45 min to get to start point. On arrival the agent said there was a problem with AC and the bus would be 5 min late. Anyway it went from 5-35 min before he told us he was cancelling the trip. Not a good service. There were at least 18 people let down. All payments were made and now we have to wait to get refunded.
Our female tour guide was amazing and so entertaining! We’ve been to Chicago a few times and this is hand down, our favorite tour!
Travel was very smooth, driver was excellent. Info was good. Enjoyed the music and learning more about Chicago
Shoutout to Two- Gap Johnny for being a fabulous guide and entertainer. It was fun learning about the history of the dark underbelly of Chicago during Prohibition. Definitely recommend a tour with them!
This was the highlight of my experience with this trip. Nelson was out "gangster guide." He was very knowledgeable and funny. He worked his audience and could ad lib very quickly. I love theater and this was the best. Yes Nelson sent me. He get 10 stars from me. I know they only get 5 for a great show but he deserves more! Thanks Nelson for a great show!
Great guides who are very knowledgeable and dress in costume. There is a lot to see on the tour, however, you don't stop to get off the bus for pictures. The bus does pulls over for a narrative of the location.
A lot of fun. Guide really got into the role of a gangster’s moll which greatly enhanced the experience.
