First saw this brotha on IG, then at an event for Chicago United for Equity, and today I finally got to experience one of his tours (Bronzeville) myself!! Phenomenal! Just phenomenal!!! I could care LESS about an architecture tour downtown, or going to look at a dam bean, or over-priced stores on Michigan Ave - THATS NOT CHICAGO!! Chicago is about culture, and specifically Black culture that has shaped this city to this day! There’s such a rich history here and I’m so so grateful that Dilla is blessing us with his extensive knowledge and storytelling about the legacy of greatness all around us in Chicago! GO EXPERIENCE A TOUR!! There are many options and you will not be disappointed! Have out of town friends coming in town- Mahogany Tours is a must! Forget downtown, this is where it’s at!!

Itinerary
You will visit sites like the birthplace of Black History Month, the Eighth Infantry Armory, and the Supreme Liberty Life Insurance Building. Gain a better perspective of the historic South Side and learn how it changed the world. From the 1st open heart surgery to Ida. The Wells-Barnett mansion has a ton of history to be seen. And we can't forget Pilgrim Baptist Church, which is considered the birthplace of gospel music.

We almost missed doing a tour with Chicago Mahogany, and I would have been so sad. We used to live in the city and have since had several long-term stays here. This tour is SO informative and entertaining. I stumbled across Dilla on TikTok during the pandemic. Then I met Dilla in person for a teacher/professor in-service in 2021. I was so impressed by his knowledge then. I had no idea he was also doing these tours, and I took my spouse along, too! The Bronzeville tour was very entertaining and super informative. I changed my mind on which tour I was going to do, and the front office changed my ticket without any fuss! I can't wait to do the other tours on our next visit! Everything dope comes from Chicago.
