The hotel is situated right in the center, making it very convenient for getting around - a great location just a 3-minute walk from Michigan Avenue. The room was quite small and dated; it had only two beds and no table, and the bathroom was cramped. The hotel didn't provide essentials like toothpaste - claiming they simply didn't supply them - and the staff were unfriendly when I asked. The service at the front desk was terrible; I felt completely disrespected and looked down upon. They didn't clean the room daily, and even when I specifically requested housekeeping, they still didn't do it. It only has a convenient location; otherwise, everything else is pretty bad.

Hotel was agreeable. All staff was nice. I don't like sinks where you can't bend down and get water in your mouth for brushing your teeth. Also it would be nice to have a smart tv with smart options available for guest. Because I could have enjoyed my personalized entertainment, I could have screen mirror from my phone. That would have been nice, otherwise everything was agreeable. Avoid getting pizza from lobby at all cost. Complete waste of $25.00
Great hotel, good value for this desirable area. Rooms are small for double beds but cozy and worked well for us (me and my sister). Bathroom sink was tiny but clean and modern, with extra shelf below to accommodate lack of counter space. Super easy to travel with my dog along, and he loved the treats at the front desk! Wonderful location! Starbucks and 2 donut shops on the corner of the next block, how convenient for a morning walk! Excellent Italian restaurant downstairs. And Michigan Ave, the Magnificent Mile, is at the end of block. The elevator was a little slow, but we were happy to be at the Hotel St. Clair.
I got a great rate which can sometimes be indicative of a poorly run property however that wasn't the case at all! The staff was professional and very nice and the room was renovated (so not old school Chicago) and very spacious. The location is great, very close to the Mag Mile and other businesses. I thought the value for the money was spectacular. Highly recommend!!!
Location great if you’re visiting navy pier. Rooms are very small. The lady at the desk named Alicia lacks customer service and was very rude. Supervisor doesn’t hold staff accountable. 2 elevators , 1 out of service. 16 floors and a capacity of 5 people per 1 elevator. If you have luggage 3 people. Terrible. Marriott courtyard across the street and much better customer service. Next time we revisit we will return to the Marriott. I give this hotel 0 stars.
