I cannot say enough great things about The Blackstone hotel, the employees and the service. We chose The Blackstone as the host hotel for our daughter’s wedding and it could not have gone any better. Gabriella, Frances, Julia, the front desk staff and the valets were so friendly and helpful. They truly took pride in The Blackstone Hotel. The rooms were spacious and so many different layouts (I went to about 10 different ones). Great bathrooms and bathrobes, comfy beds, a great lake views and even umbrellas to borrow. The brunch in the Art Hall was set up so nicely and the food was so good and plentiful. The service was exceptional. The Blackstone is a historical building and the black and white decor was perfect. I hope to have the opportunity to stay again as it felt like home.

Highly, highly recommend the Blackstone. Since the minute we walked in they treated us wonderfully. She made a celebration wonderful and the final touches were unreal. I am not sure of the name of the lady at the front desk (blonde hair) but she is exceptional. My daughter loved the place. We stayed downtown 2 nights and we enjoyed this hotel the most. Thank you so much for all you did!
We have been Bonvoy Platinum Members for a couple of years now and stay at Marriott properties roughly every month or two around the world. I selected The Blackstone due to its midpoint location to McCormick and the office, and encouraged about 6 of my colleagues to also book here. For an Autograph Collection property and at this price point, I expected a lot better. We were here for a conference, but I also made a note that my spouse was joining me later in the week to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and a babymoon. There was no acknowledgement of either, nor any acknowledgement of my status with Marriott. This is the first Marriott I’ve stayed at that did not provide any water bottles in the rooms, complimentary or not. The worst part was the club lounge. I usually have breakfast at the club lounge, but this one served only terrible coffee and cold, dry pastries. Happy hour options included a limited soda selection and small packets of chips. The worst part was that we found a pair of discarded boxers underneath the tv behind the dresser, indicating that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. This certainly made for an interesting conversation with my husband when he discovered them while searching for a lost garment. We had a meal at the restaurant and coffee at the cafe during our stay, and both were lackluster. The coffee was not good at all. Overall, I expected so much more when I handpicked this property for our stay, but the service and hospitality really fell short for such an iconic Chicago property. I usually prefer to relay my feedback privately to the hotel, especially if it is negative, but the response I received from Victoria was less than satisfactory. Disappointing for my first visit to Chicago!
Premium hotel facing Grant Park, period-style decor with display cases of building historical artifacts, fun photo booth in lobby. The view from lake view rooms is absolutely gorgeous. Extremely spacious with ergonomic charging outlets (regular and USB), settee reading nook, apple storage and closet storage, coffee maker in room, bathrobe provided. Distinctive historical, vintage personality.
This hotel is stunning! We had a lakeside view and it did not disappoint. We had our dog with us and the staff was all so kind and accommodating with her. We did carry out dinner from the restaurant and the next morning we had coffee and breakfast from the coffee shop, all great food and service. We ended up leaving one night early due to an incoming blizzard and the staff was so great about adjusting our accommodations and even offered a late checkout. Highly recommend this hotel!
