Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel

This was an awesome and beautiful property, one of the best I've ever spent time in. The rooms are impeccably comfortable with plenty of personal and guest amenities. The location is perfect for attractions in Chicago's Loop very close to major theatres. The staff is incredibly attentive to your needs. We were supplied with loaner umbrellas by the registration staff when they learned we didn't expect rain. I very highly recommend Renaissance Cigago Downtown for a splurge vacation!

I wanted to make sure to write this review for the Renaissance hotel and Marriott because we had a very nice stay. We stayed for 4 nights (with 2 kids) in a Theater view room on the 22nd floor, which gave us a nice little view of the Chicago theater sign! The rooms were clean, could not hear a single neighbor above, below or beside us (besides the obvious city sounds), and the AC worked very well and ran very quiet! I requested some extra towels and pillows before our stay and they were actually provided when we walked in the room (didn't have to chase anyone down). Housekeeping was done as requested! I booked with points and payment and the front desk was nice enough to keep us in the same room. I also thought the club level amenities were very nice - basic coffee bar, continental style breakfast buffet, and tons of drink options. The front desk associates were helpful and friendly and did not make you feel awkward if you needed anything or had any questions. Obviously walk right outside and you are in the heart of the riverwalk and all the views of Chicago! Within walking distance to some great breakfast and lunch/dinner spots. I would definitely stay at this location and recommend it to others!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Location & Beautiful Hotel, But Room Could Use Some Updating I had a nice stay at the Renaissance Downtown Chicago Hotel. The location is excellent—perfectly situated right along the Riverwalk and incredibly convenient for enjoying all of the downtown amenities, restaurants, attractions, and activities. The hotel lobby is beautiful, with a nice bar and dining area, as well as several cozy nooks and seating areas throughout the property that are perfect for relaxing, working, or taking pictures. I also appreciated the charging stations and workstation areas. The check-in process was seamless and delightful, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming. The room, however, was pretty basic for the price. The furniture felt a little dated, and there was a constant running water sound coming from the bathroom that was noticeable during my stay. I also noticed a somewhat sloppy touch-up paint job on the bathroom door. These things didn’t ruin my experience, but they definitely kept the room from feeling as polished or luxurious as I expected. I imagine upgrading to a different room or suite may provide a more elevated experience. Overall, the room was decent, but the location, amenities, beautiful common areas, and convenience of being right in downtown Chicago helped make the stay worthwhile. I enjoyed my visit and would consider staying here again, particularly because of the fantastic location.

All I can say is, this was an amazing staycation!! A big compliment to Emily who made our stay 100x better!! She was amazing at check in, professional, courteous, and she took great care of us during our entire stay. The room was clean and had a great view of the river and the city. Every team member we met were very nice. This was worth the price. We are definitely coming back!
