I stayed at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago for just one night, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience! Although there are a few things worth mentioning, I would definitely consider staying here again, especially for the beautiful views and the comfort of the room. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the view from my room. I had a wonderful panoramic view of Chicago and Lake Michigan, which made the experience feel particularly special. Being able to look out over the city from such a height was absolutely lovely, even on a cloudy day. The large windows let in plenty of natural light and really made the room feel spacious and inviting. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The bed was particularly comfortable, which is probably one of the most important things when staying at a hotel! After a long day exploring Chicago, having a comfortable place to relax and get a good night’s sleep was exactly what I needed. I also appreciated the seating area next to the window, which was a lovely little spot to sit and admire the view. The following morning, I decided to try the hotel’s breakfast/brunch, and I have to say that the food was genuinely very good! There was a nice selection of breakfast options, including fresh fruit, coffee, and other delicious dishes. Everything I tried was tasty, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit and the overall quality of the breakfast. It was a lovely way to start the morning. However, the breakfast was quite expensive, especially considering that it was an additional expense on top of the hotel stay. While I enjoyed the food, I do think the prices were a little excessive for what was offered. If you’re planning to have breakfast at the hotel, I would recommend keeping that in mind. Another aspect that could be improved was the speed of the service. The waitstaff were rather slow during breakfast, and I felt that the service could have been more attentive and efficient. It wasn’t a major problem, but when you’re staying somewhere for just one night and have limited time to enjoy the city, waiting longer than expected can be a little frustrating. Location is another important consideration. The hotel is situated near McCormick Place, which makes it particularly convenient for conferences, conventions, and business travelers. However, if you’re visiting Chicago primarily for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, or exploring the main tourist attractions, it’s worth knowing that the hotel is somewhat removed from the heart of downtown Chicago. Personally, I would have preferred to be a little closer to the city center, as it would have made getting around and exploring more convenient. That said, the location does have its advantages, particularly the beautiful views of the lake and skyline. Despite these minor drawbacks, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere, the room was lovely, and the views were absolutely worth it. I also appreciated having the opportunity to enjoy a delicious brunch before leaving. Overall, a very good hotel with spectacular views, comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfast food, although the restaurant prices and slow service could definitely be improved. I would recommend it especially to people attending events at McCormick Place or anyone who values a comfortable room with a beautiful view of Chicago. For a one-night stay, it was a lovely experience, and I left with a very positive impression. Five stars for the comfort and those gorgeous views of Chicago!

The staff here are super amazing! They're very responsive and even with a long check in line the staff at the front desk were still very friendly and willing to take the time to explain their parking program and answer all of my questions. The hotel itself is the level of quality you would expect from a Hyatt Regency.
I thought this was a nice hotel. I literally booked it the same day when I found out another hotel I booked was disgusting. The room was a bit pricey but clean and the location was perfect since I was seeing a concert a Soldier Field. It's a 20 minute walk away. The check out time is 12pm which is excellent. I didn't stay long enough to enjoy all the amenities but I would definitely stay here again. The video was captured right as I was leaving. The bed and towels are my doing.
My friend and I booked the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place for the BTS concert at Soldier Field, and it ended up being such a great choice! The location was incredibly convenient. It was only about a 12-minute walk from the train station, and we were able to walk to Soldier Field in less than 20 minutes. The hotel also really leaned into the excitement surrounding the concert—they had BTS songs playing and even set up a cute photo area with BTS letters and balloons. It was such a fun touch and immediately made the trip feel special. Our room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a long concert day. We were also really impressed with the complimentary breakfast and the restaurant offerings at the hotel. Everything felt high quality and made our stay that much easier. After staying in more Airbnbs recently, this trip honestly reminded me how convenient and enjoyable staying in a full-service hotel can be. There was something so nice about being on vacation and actually getting to relax—no cooking, cleaning, or worrying about taking care of a house. We could just enjoy Chicago and the concert. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and were very impressed. I would absolutely stay here again, especially for an event at Soldier Field!
Unfortunately not a great experience - the desk check in communicated poorly and was not easy to understand (kept looking at screen and mumbled/never looked up from screen). Also our room never got cleaned. When we asked for extra towels none arrived. If you are in the hospitality business please train your employees to exhibit some hospitality. The room rate was definitely not worth it and inflated but I felt like I got no service. I won’t be staying at another Hyatt again
