The best Four Seasons hotel I’ve stayed at. The team I worked with were exceptional. I worked with Mason at the front reception and Karen at Concierge. They were both extremely helpful and attention to detail was amazing. I loved every minute of my stay at this hotel. I particularly loved the gym and spa. I love having coffee while working out and they had coffee ready at the gym every morning at 5am. The best experience. I will be coming back.

3/5 Stars – Subpar Experience Below Typical Four Seasons Standards As a frequent global business traveler who routinely stays at luxury properties—including numerous Four Seasons around the world—my recent two-night stay at the Four Seasons Chicago unfortunately fell short of expectations. While I recognize that Labor Day weekend brings high occupancy, the fundamental quality of the room product and service level did not match the brand’s usual benchmark. The Suite & Hard Product I stayed in an Executive Suite Lake View. While the view was pleasant, the suite itself feels visibly dated and due for a comprehensive renovation. The furniture and carpeting show clear signs of age, and the overall aesthetic feels tired rather than refined. A persistent issue throughout my stay was lighting: even with every fixture turned on, the suite remains excessively dark at night, making it difficult to work or comfortably navigate the space. In-Room Dining Due to a packed schedule, I relied on room service. On the first night, my order was delayed by over 30 minutes. Beyond the delivery delay, the food quality was notably weak—easily one of the least impressive in-room dining experiences I have encountered at a Four Seasons property. Service & Overall Verdict Service throughout the stay was indifferent. While not overtly poor, it lacked the proactive, polished warmth that normally defines the Four Seasons experience. Between the aging physical product, delayed dining, and unremarkable service, this property is struggling to deliver top-tier value. As shown in the attached photos, the suite requires a refresh, and there are currently far stronger luxury alternatives available in Chicago.
This was one of the most wonderful stays my husband and I have ever had. From the moment we checked in with Claire, we were treated with the utmost respect. Claire gave us some awesome suggestions to grab coffee and breakfast. The pool/spa is incredible and the location is fantastic. We can’t wait to come back. We’re sad we only stayed for one night.
I stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago for a weekend getaway, and it exceeded my expectations. After arriving earlier than expected, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome while my room was being prepared. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and had beautiful views that made the stay feel extra special. What stood out most was the level of service—everyone I interacted with was professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive. By the end of the trip, I found myself wishing I had booked an extra night.
truly refined luxury experience from start to finish. The lobby and common areas feel elegant without being flashy, with thoughtful design and a calm, sophisticated energy that sets the tone immediately. Rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable, with attention to detail you truly notice in the finishes, bedding, and views. Service is exceptional in every interaction. Staff are professional, gracious, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive or performative. Everything runs smoothly and feels polished, which makes the stay feel effortless. Location is excellent, right by the lake and close to great dining, shopping, and museums. It is the kind of hotel that feels special not just because of the brand, but because every detail consistently delivers on quality and comfort. A top choice in Chicago if you want real luxury.
