We stayed in the Pool Villa for 3 nights and had a really nice, relaxing stay. The villa was spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the private pool was spotless. The whole property had a lovely ambience, and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. We also loved that the villa had a big TV, which was a nice bonus! The only downside was the breakfast. It wasn't bad, but the spread was quite basic and repetitive over the three days. Other than that, everything was great. We'd definitely come back for another relaxing getaway!

Could not ask for a better hotel. The grounds are beautiful and kept in the most perfect state of nature without disorder. The entire resort is lined with trees and at night the lamps provide a warm ambiance. The manager and his staff are all incredibly kind. It is the type of place that is elevated but does not feel pretentious and cut off from local culture. In fact the entire resort embraces Thai architecture and hospitality, and mixes it with western comforts. Looking forward to my next stay!
Hotel is well maintained. Rooms are lovely. Love the mosquito nets! Location is by the river which makes for an idyllic setting. I love the breakfast set up too. Minimal but hits all the right spots. Restaurants serve delicious dishes albeit Bangkok prices 😭😀 I would highly recommend this hotel if you are coming to Chiangrai.
My first time in Chiang Rai was made extra special because of this amazing riverside resort! Tucked along the quiet banks of the Mae Kok River in Chiang Rai, The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort and Spa is the kind of place that feels immediately calming the moment you step in. Surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, the property embraces nature rather than fighting it, yet what impressed me most is how well the hotel maintains the grounds and rooms despite being immersed in such a tropical setting. The landscaping is beautiful and dense, but everything feels thoughtfully managed, clean, and remarkably free of insects, which is not always easy to achieve in northern Thailand. The atmosphere throughout the resort is peaceful and refined, with traditional Lanna inspired architecture that blends seamlessly into the environment while still offering comfort and privacy. My room was exceptionally spacious, far larger than what you would expect for the price point, with high ceilings, warm wood tones, and a layout that felt both open and intimate. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom generous in size, and the outdoor elements added to the sense of being connected to nature without sacrificing cleanliness or comfort. Housekeeping clearly pays attention to detail as everything was spotless and consistently well maintained. What truly elevates the experience here, however, is the service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. From check in to daily interactions around the property, the level of hospitality feels sincere and well trained, making the stay smooth and relaxing. The riverside setting adds another layer of charm, especially in the early morning and late afternoon when the light hits the water and the entire resort takes on a golden glow. It feels removed from the city yet still close enough to reach central Chiang Rai easily, making it a perfect base to explore the area while returning to a tranquil retreat at the end of the day. Overall, The Legend Chiang Rai delivers a combination of spacious accommodation, excellent cleanliness standards, strong service, and a serene natural setting that makes it stand out in the region, and it is a property I would confidently recommend to anyone looking for comfort and atmosphere in northern Thailand!
A very nice resort on the banks of the Kok River, surrounded by greenery and located in a quiet area of Chiang Rai. We booked several months in advance and were assigned a room in a more secluded part of the property, but overall it was still a pleasant and peaceful stay. The room was spacious enough and included a small outdoor porch, which was great for relaxing. One interesting detail was the shower “room”: it was extremely large and felt slightly out of proportion compared to the rest of the room, especially considering the bathroom itself was quite small. The staff were kind and courteous. On our first night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, La Casa, and it was excellent (bruschetta, main course and dessert). The only downside is that, out of all the dinners we had during our two-week trip in Thailand, this one was by far the most expensive.
