I recently stayed at Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and overall, I would describe my experience as average and reasonably good value for money, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve. The hotel is not located right in the city centre, so if you are looking for a hotel within walking distance of the main city attractions, this may not be the most convenient choice. However, it is located near Central Chiang Rai, which is a big advantage for shopping, restaurants, and getting around the area. The location worked well for me because I preferred being close to the mall rather than staying directly in the busy city centre. The room was generally comfortable, but I had an issue with Room 740. The door did not close properly in the normal way and I felt this should be checked and fixed by the maintenance team. A hotel room door is an important part of security and convenience, so I hope the management will inspect the door mechanism and make sure it closes properly. The biggest disappointment for me was the breakfast. I personally did not enjoy the breakfast and felt that there is considerable room for improvement. There was bread and butter, but surprisingly no cheese, and overall I found the breakfast selection and quality quite underwhelming. I also tried some of the local food, but it was too spicy for my taste. I would recommend the hotel consider offering a better balance of local and international breakfast choices, including some simple options for guests who cannot handle very spicy food. Breakfast is an important part of the hotel experience, especially for travellers staying several nights, so improving the variety, quality and presentation would make a noticeable difference. That said, I don't think the hotel is a bad choice. Considering the location near Central Chiang Rai and the overall accommodation, I would say it offers reasonable value for money. The hotel has potential, but attention to small maintenance issues and especially improvements to the breakfast would make the stay much better. Overall: Average experience and value for money, but the breakfast definitely needs improvement. I hope the management takes these comments constructively and works on these areas for future guests.

Great place to stay! Clean, modern, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. If there’s anything wrong they are minor like windows need cleaning. I will stay here again if I come back to Chiang Rai.
As the name of the hotel....The Heritage!! Classic Contemporary Design, may look old exterior but interor is so impressive, nice smell, high material. Room is worth to stay with comfy expense for this quality level.
We booked a room for two people at The Heritage Hotel and Convention Chiang Rai, and overall, our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how friendly, welcoming, and helpful the staff were. They were always polite and ready to assist whenever we had questions or needed help, which really added to the overall experience. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. It felt comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, making it ideal for both short and longer stays. The hotel offers excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, library, café, and a proper dining area/restaurant, giving guests many options without needing to leave the property. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast buffet. There was an impressive variety of options available, and everything we tried was freshly made, flavorful, and delicious. It catered well to different tastes and dietary preferences, making breakfast something we genuinely looked forward to each morning. The hotel is also conveniently located, making it easy to get around Chiang Rai. We especially enjoyed the garden area, where light snacks and drinks are served, accompanied by live music, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere in the evenings. We appreciated the hotel’s environmentally friendly practices, such as encouraging guests to reuse towels to reduce water and energy consumption (this is optional, not mandatory), which shows their commitment to caring for the environment. One small issue was that our room was not cleaned on Saturday. However, after speaking with the receptionist, the room was cleaned later on Sunday afternoon, and the staff handled the situation professionally.
I recently stayed at The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and Convention in Chiang Rai, and my first impression was a genuine “wow!” This place is an absolute steal for the price—luxury that punches way above its weight. From the moment we arrived, the experience was fantastic. The lovely receptionist was a highlight—super friendly and even upgraded our room for free! The upgraded suite was incredible. It had two bathrooms (so spacious!), a cozy lounge area, a microwave, a big fridge, a huge closet, a dining table, two desks (both with mirrors, which was a nice touch), two TVs, and a super comfortable king-size bed. Everything felt clean, modern, and well thought out, blending that contemporary vibe with subtle nods to local heritage. The saltwater pool was another standout—sparkling clean and beautifully maintained, with a sun terrace and lush gardens around it for that perfect relaxing dip after exploring spots like the White Temple or Clock Tower (both super close by). The overall vibe of the hotel is welcoming and serene, yet buzzing with energy from the convention spaces if you’re into that. The value for money is unbeatable. I’d highly recommend The Heritage Chiang Rai to anyone visiting northern Thailand—you’re getting way more than what you pay for!
