Whitewater Rafting And Atv Adventure

Our family of 5 (all adults) did the Whitewater and ATV combo experience. We loved it all. We were picked up on time from our Hotel in Chang Mai in a clean and comfortable mini bus and brought to the 8 Adventures location. We did the white water rafting first. Due to high rainfall, we just did the 8km (no the 10km) stretch of water - and the price was reduced accordingly. The 8km was terrific and we were in 2 separate rafts (for safety). The rafting is a fun experience and you quickly become accustomed to the speed and the bouncing around in the boat. The training, safety demos and the tour guides were all excellent. We felt very safe in their hands. We had some nice lunch between the two activities and did the ATV riding in the afternoon. Our youngest daughter doesnt drive (a car) yet so she was not familiar with using a motor vehicle that needs accelearation control. We noticed this during the practice driving in their pre trip practice area. This was not a problem and she jumped onto the back of my sons ATV, which was a good idea, and she enjoyed the experience from there. The ATV trek was terrific. It was fun and exciting and we covered a lot of distance. This included getting to drive alongside a large Elephant sanctuary where we could see lots of elephants. We also got to go deep into the jungle and saw some amazing landscape. Whilst it is a bit expensive to do both these activities, i would recommend it. We now have lifetime memories and the day was a full of exciting moment. We also got the photos from the Team of the White Water Rafting, which are terrific. We recommend doing this activity - it was safe, well run, with lots of equipment, the tour guides were helpful and also funny.

We had an absolutely incredible day – full of adventure, excitement and unforgettable moments, while always feeling that safety was the team’s top priority. The rafting was AMAZING! We were there towards the end of the monsoon season, so the river was incredibly powerful and exciting. At two points, we even had to leave the river and get back in further downstream because the water was simply too strong. It was an unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight! The ATV tour was just as much fun. The trails through the jungle were beautiful and made for a fantastic ride. We were even lucky enough to see elephants – both while rafting and again during the ATV tour, which made the whole experience even more special. Lunch was fantastic as well, and everything throughout the day was very well organised. All in all, it was a truly wonderful day filled with adventure, laughter and memories for a lifetime. A huge thank you to the amazing team, who made us feel warmly welcomed, well looked after and, above all, safe at all times. We absolutely loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for an unforgettable day!

Both the ATV and Whitewater Rafting were awesome. Excellent fun. It is a full day, so great value for money. The staff were fantastic and took great care of us throughout the day. Would definitely do it again and would recommend this experience. The lunch was great also.

This ATV and rafting combo was hands down one of the best things we did in Chiang Mai! The ATV quad ride was muddy, fast, and super fun, and the rafting down the river was an absolute adrenaline rush surrounded by gorgeous greenery. The entire team was professional, safety-conscious, and wildly entertaining from start to finish. Great gear, seamless transportation, and a delicious lunch included. Don't skip this if you're in northern Thailand!

This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organized. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel by Bob and Kera, who were both fantastic. Since the drive is over an hour each way, I highly recommend booking two activities rather than just a morning or afternoon session. We did ATV riding in the morning and white water rafting in the afternoon, which made the travel time well worth it. The ATV tour was outstanding. Along the route we passed several other ATV groups, and it was obvious that our company provided much better equipment and protective gear. The terrain was varied and beautiful—riding alongside rivers, passing an elephant sanctuary, climbing a stunning mountainside, and making our way back down through incredible scenery. The guides were excellent instructors, patient teachers, and genuinely kind throughout the experience. Lunch was included and was surprisingly delicious—I cleaned my plate. The company also provided lockers and bug spray, which were thoughtful touches that made the day even easier. The white water rafting was equally impressive. I’ve rafted many times before, but these guides were true professionals. Our guide had 27 years of experience, and the safety procedures throughout the trip were exceptional. We even encountered elephants in the river, and the guides were incredibly respectful, carefully giving them space and ensuring they were not disturbed. The facilities exceeded expectations as well. The showers offered both hot and cold water, the towels smelled wonderful, and everything was clean and well maintained. One final tip: budget for the photos. The photographers captured so many great shots throughout both activities that purchasing them was an easy decision. If you’re considering this excursion, book it. It’s professionally run, safety-focused, packed with adventure, and delivered exceptional value from beginning to end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an amazing day with 8Adventures. Overall very professional, safe, accommodating and fun. We originally booked just white water rafting but they let us add the ATVs. We are glad we did, it was a great time. Our group had mixed experiences levels, and we had more, so they assigned us a separate guide who took us on great trails and up to the top of a hill with beautiful views. . Haioon was an excellent guide. We saw the elephants at the sanctuary across the river and some passed us on the trail. Lunch was delicious with both chicken and vegetarian options. In the afternoon we went rafting. The safety briefing was thorough. We had safely support in kayaks and from shore for the bigger rapids. Our guide Sammy was experienced and made it a lot of fun. We floated past water buffalo cooling in the river and elephants coming for a drink. Highly recommend this outfit!

Had an awesome day out! whitewater rafting was awesome! Some decent rapids, unreal scenery and so many elephants along the river! I even had chance to swim in a stead section and literally float past an elephant in the water bathing a couple meters away! 🤯 Atv was also amazing the views up in the mountains 😍 passed so many elephants up close, loads of rutty roads little corners of mud to drift, fun little tight track section near the elephant sanctuary by the river where you can have some fun! Lunch was fresh and tasty even by fuzzy western standards fried chicken and rice always goes down well! The staff are all super friendly and helpful loads of energy and enthusiastic especially the rafting! The instructor Bank was a very professional and informative instructor! patient and clear and proper sound guy! and... Dear was an absolute legend funny as hell, very welcoming and this distinctive awesome laugh that will just bring laughter to the group ! absolute legends Thank you 🙏💌✌️

A perfect experience—we had a wonderful day here! I think since it's the dry season, the river itself isn't very fast, but it has provided us with a very interesting experience. My friends and I can splash water on each other or swim in the water. It is particularly worth mentioning that the 8 Adventures team has very comprehensive security measures, ensuring no risk of accidental injury during the rafting process. Highly recommended.

Great experience! Would recommend 10/10. The service was extremely nice, helpful and professional. Both trips, rafting and ATV were really exciting, packed with adrenaline but also truly manageable even for first timers. We want to visit again, as soon as possible. Great experience! They pick you up directly from your hotel in Chiang Mai, and the location is just over an hour away. The ATV tour was fun, well organized, and set in beautiful scenery, with friendly and professional guides. The rafting was exciting and very well managed, with good equipment and a strong focus on safety. Definitely a must-do activity in Thailand. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience from start to finish. The ATV portion was a blast. The views couldn’t be beat and the ATVs actually go fast, so it’s a real adrenaline rush, not a slow tourist crawl. Definitely wear gloves. The white water rafting was even better. Beautiful scenery, felt safe the entire time, and the team was clearly well trained and professional. Great for total beginners but still fun if you’ve done this kind of thing before. Would 100% recommend.

What a thrilling day from start to finish. Luxury puck up from the hotel. Warm welcome with hot drinks at the 8Adventures centre. A clear, comprehensive and professional briefing on the White water rafting. Our expert guides were 'O' and bang. We enjoyed a thrilling ride down the river. Didn't want it to end. The scenery was captivating and the drops into the white water were an absolute squeel. Bang's steered us to safety and the. We enjoyed hot showers and a delicious lunch on the river bank while laughing at our photos. The ATVs were great fun and took us through the valley floor, skirting the elephant sanctuary where the elephants were freely bathing in the river just yards from us. And then we headed into a mountain community to sit with locals and sip our drinks on bamboo platforms high up over the most breath taking views. Truly memorable. All staff were so warm, helpful and focussed on making sure we had an epic and safe experience. I'd give this six stars if I could.

What an amazing experience It’s not everyday you get to raft past an elephant playing in the river or ride an ATV past an elephant in the street. From pick up being on time, to the guides explaining all the safety instructions in full. This experience was a highlight of my time in Chiang Mai

I had the most wonderful experience with them in Chiang Mai. From the very beginning, the staff went out of their way to make everything smooth and enjoyable. They picked us up directly from our hotel and were so considerate throughout the entire trip, constantly checking in, asking questions, and making sure we were comfortable. They even asked about dietary requirements before serving food, which I really appreciated. One moment that really stood out was when I accidentally left my slippers in their van. Even though the place was about 15 minutes away, the staff kindly went back just to bring them to me. It was such a thoughtful gesture and showed how much they truly care about their guests. Another lovely touch was when we went for the ATV ride. On the way back, the staff had picked up fresh fruits and offered them to us, which was such a refreshing surprise. The rafting itself was handled with so much professionalism. The staff were polite, patient, and very experienced. It was actually my third time doing whitewater rafting, but this was by far the best experience I have had. There was a storm warning on the day we went, and instead of risking a longer route with high tides, they guided us through a shorter and safer section. I felt secure the entire time, and it was reassuring to know that our guide had over 12 years of experience. Overall, it is not just about the adventure, but also about the warmth and kindness of the people who run it. They made the entire day feel special, safe, and full of little thoughtful touches that I will never forget.

Best experience ever. All of the crew is really amazing. The Atv ride was great, riding close to the elephants is one in a life experience. Rafting was a great experience and we were laughing most of the time.

Great service, great guides and overall a great experience! We were with three kids of 9, 11 and 12 years old. They all loved it, as did we.

This tour was the highlight of our visit to Chiang Mai. The ATVs were really fun and you get to ride for an extended time throug jungle trails, roads and rivers. We got to see some of the local elephants on the tour which was a bonus. Note that it can get very muddy on this tour so consider what you wear including closed toe shoes (older ones preferably). After a really ni9ce lunch we did the second part of our tour white water rafting. This was amazing and although they warn you about the potential of capsizing it was never an issue for us and they had lots of staff ready to jump in and save you if necessary. We have two teen age kids that loved the whole experience. I would defiantly make a day of it and do both activities together as they are both great fun.

We absolutely loved the tour! Before we started, we watched a short safety video and practiced briefly, which helped a lot. The morning before rafting, I received a message that due to heavy rain, the 10km rafting tour was shortened to 8km for safety. I really appreciated their focus on safety. It made me trust the organization right away. During the ATV ride, one ATV broke down, but the guides quickly fixed it by letting me use their ATV. When riding uphill got too tough for me, I got to sit on the back of the guide’s ATV. He showed me extra things along the way, like a tarantula hiding in a hole in the wall, and had a nice chat. This made the experience even more special! At the stops, we were given cold water bottles. This was very refreshing, and we watched elephants swimming nearby. The 3-hour ride also featured stunning panoramic mountain views. During rafting, we could swim in calm sections, which was cooling and fun. The guides made jokes while giving clear instructions, so I felt safe even when nervous. Pick-up and drop-off from our hotel were also perfectly arranged. I highly recommend 8adventures for an unforgettable and well-organized experience! 😍

Best thing we did in Thailand. Company and the guides were excellent. The rafting was very good, but the ATV was the best ride/adventure we have ever had in any country. We saw elephants, cows, went through the jungle, and all the way up the hill for amazing views. The guides went over the top to make it so much fun and special. Time of our lives in this beautiful region. Cannot recommend this adventure enough. Will be the highlight of your trip

Amazing, simply amazing from start to finish. We were picked up on time and had one additional person to pick up, so we were able to see different areas of Chiang Mai. We headed to 8 adventures, which took about an hour and a half. On arrival, we were greeted with enthusiastic staff. They directed us to a table with our name on it. The paperwork was simple and then off to the ATV portion of the trip. We had 5 people on our group. 3 of which were experienced, and 2 whom had never driven a 4 wheeler. The guide quickly recognized this could be a problem, so he separated the group. The 3 of us took off to very rugged and muddy terrain, which was amazing! Not only did we have a great time riding, but we were lucky enough to have elephants walk right beside us as we were coming down a path! When we arrived back at the base camp, lunch was served. The lunch was amazing. After lunch, we headed off to the second leg of the excursion, white water rafting. We again were fortunate to have a small group. At the end of the run, an elephant walks down the hill and into the river where we were taking out! The professionalism from the staff yet keeping it exciting was nothing less than 5 stars! It was awesome, the atv was such an adventure and the rafting was super, we even got to see elephants in both situations. The instructors for both activities were professional in delivering their instructions and everything ran smoothly, even when faced with light rain the lead atv and rear kept everyone safe and feeling confident to tackle the terrain. All the workers involved were also nice and had fun attitudes, and took good care of you. Me and my friends left with memories to share and stories to tell, the views too were awesome, I won’t spoil it too much now, try it yourself, if you’re not afraid to get dirty and want a real adventure then stop looking! The guys are fantastic, friendly, welcoming, funny, they arranged one of our best days! We did ATV and rafting. We were very impressed by high level of organization, professionalism, security measures. Despite you are always in a group with other people, the staff assess your abilities and thus you have individual approach for everything. The photographer was also very professional, he did one of the best photos I have in my collection. Thank you, hope to see you again and will definitely recommend it to my friends.

We have had many opportunities to do fun adventures all over the world and 8adventures is top notch! So much fun! From pickup, to the facilities, lunch and ultimately the ATV and rafting were phenomenal!

From the pick up point to the drop off, everything was perfect. Even from the star they answered all my questions and came up with a plan so my younger daughter can enjoy. They delivered flawlessly all what was offered. Installations are very good. Even the final hot shower and plastic bags for wet clothes are just strong details of the whole package. You deserve people go to your tour.

My friends and I had a fantastically fun day out with 8 Adventures on their ATV / Whitewater rafting experience. The ATV experience offered both adrenaline pumping thrills as well as genuinely breathtaking views of the surrounding regions, both rice fields and mountain ranges! As for the whitewater rafting, having not done any rafting in over 15 years, 8 Adventures managed to put me at complete ease. Their genuine focus on safety is a testament to how they take their profession seriously, from the pre-activity safety briefing video to the controlled staging of boats and guides at critical points on the river. At no point did I feel any concern knowing that the 8 Adventures team had teams and boats on standby to support us on our adventures downstream. Thank you 8 Adventures Team for a truly unforgettable experience, keep up the excellent work!!! P.S. - If you like fried chicken (similar to a schnitzel) you will not be disappointed for lunch!

Amazing ATV ride into the mountains after a detailed safety talk and lots of safety equipment. We were a group of 8 who had never done ATV before. One of our group was less confident and 8Adventures was able to accommodate to their ability level as well as ours by splitting the group. Really well managed. Rafting was also heaps of fun with lots of water splashing, excitement and friendly, informative and safety conscious guides!

We had an unforgettable time with 8Adventures in Chiang Mai! We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made the whole experience so convenient. The price for both the whitewater rafting and ATV experiences, including transport, was an absolute steal. At first, we were a bit nervous about the whitewater rafting because the river looked quite rough, but we didn’t need to worry at all. The staff were incredibly professional, and their focus on safety put us at ease right away. We felt well taken care of throughout, and the rafting turned out to be an exhilarating and safe experience. The photographer also did a brilliant job capturing all the action, and the price for the photos was very reasonable compared to what we’ve paid for similar experiences in England. Although we won’t be back due to living in England, we highly recommend 8Adventures to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. It’s an adventure you don’t want to miss!

We had a great time. Picked us up in an air conditioned van fed us a solid lunch. Just about anyone can do each, it is more novice to intermediate then intermediate to difficult. We did the atv and river rafting had a great time highly recommend.

Great trip! The ATVs and rafting were so much fun and the lunch was delicious. Seeing a group of elephants and getting to stop for pictures was an amazing bonus!

We did a 2 day trip with atv and village stay on day 1 then hike down from the mountain and rafting day 2. It was fantastic and will to adapt to the needs of our family. Very professional team Moss was a wonderful host and looked after us on atv and hike.

Doing this with 8adventures was definitely a blast. The hosts and staff there were all so friendly and hospitable that it made every minute there worthwhile. We did the whitewater rafting first, unfortunately, due to the heavy rainfall during this period, we had to miss one of section due to high water levels. However, that did not affect our experience at all! Our guide on the raft was extremely funny and friendly. Being our first time doing such an activity, we felt extremely safe with the other staff who were on kayaks constantly watching out for us. This activity is slightly strenuous simply due to the paddling, but I am sure it’s still extremely doable for everyone! 5/5 - whitewater rafting We then came back to have lunch cooked for us and I must say, the food was amazing! Being so hungry from all the hard work in the raft, the fried chicken together with clear Tom yum was extremely delicious. 5/5 - lunch After lunch, we had a break before we embarked on our ATV tour. The staff were extremely helpful in getting us geared up for the adventure and the explanation prior to the activity was very clear as well, we felt really well taken care of. It was raining for our activity and raincoats were provided for us and you had the choice if you wanted to wear it or not. Despite the rain, the ATV trail was fun with some moments that were challenging! Nothing dangerous I must say if anyone who is unsure. The trail definitely gets your adrenaline pumping! We had 2 breaks during the entire session where we were allowed to enjoy the sights and sound of the Chiang Mai forest. Luckily for us, we got to see 2 cute elephants pass by us during our time there and I even managed to greet one of them. 5/5 - ATV Overall, I would definitely recommend this package to anyone seeking out some thrills and adrenaline! Thank you so much 8adventures for making this experience such a memorable one of us and we would definitely come back and do it all over again!

What a fun day. We did the 3 hour ATV and 8 km whitewater rafting (was supposed to be 10 km but had to be changed due to the conditions). Both activities were lots of fun. The staff were always friendly and helpful with a safety first approach. Be prepared to get dirty on the ATVs (they hose you down at the end). Well worth it! They took pictures of both our activities and it was not expensive to buy them all. Highly recommended for a great day!
