WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Excellent trip. All aspects worked well. The safety, the staff, the rafting, the lunch, the photographs were all excellent. A great fun and challenging experience. First class!

We had so much fun! 🤩 It was an amazing experience and it added to our time in Chiang Mai the right amount of Fun and excitement! Very easy to book in: we just organised our 8km rafting day through WhatsApp, directly with 8adventure staff. They organise the pick up and the return directly from and to your stay. They accept both cashless and cash payment, preferably cash as they are literally in the heart of the jungle so to avoid surprises better take cash with you. They provide coffee/tea on arrival, nice Thai lunch after your experience, shower, towels and equipment (in our case helmets, life jackets). And that’s should be pretty much it. The price per person is 2500 THB, and includes transportation as mentioned above, water, lunch, basic insurance and the equipment for your activity. Additional 500 THB per group (we were 4 people) if you want to collect your photos afterwards (only rafting includes photographers).

Everything was ok and I recomend it a lot . It was a pity we could not do 10 km. The guys were good ones and the food ok. As well facilities and the pictures!

Highlight of our holiday! Very well organised, felt very safe. We almost couldn’t go because of heavy rain, but we managed to delay a couple of days and did 8km instead of the 10km. Such brilliant rapids.

This was a fantastic experience, everything went smoothly and was well organised. We booked the day before the activity and within 30 minutes had WhatsApp communication letting us know what we had to bring and confirming our pick up location. Everything down to the registration of the transport in the morning. The showers were clean and hot, the food was brilliant, the guides were knowledgeable and let us know what to do and when we had to do it. I can’t express how good this was. If your looking to do something exciting please book this.

I feel like this activity was super safe in our opinion. This was our second time doing class 3 rapids and first time doing class 4. We went through the safety briefing twice. We liked our captain BangBang and our safety kayak Oar. I’d recommend, we didn’t feel in danger. But also it was just two of us on the kayak and we had good working partnership.

This was a fun thing to do in Chiang Mai. The shuttle was on time, the safety briefing was great as well as the instructions. The river was fun and not too intense. The lunch was good and they had lockers for your belongings as well as hot showers for after so you can change your clothes. All in All a great time.

Exciting experience – felt safe the whole time but there were enough natural thrills to make it worthwhile. Very scenic, and great lunch afterwards. Recommended!

I did the rafting session with my partner and I would without a shadow of a doubt recommend the activity. The transport to and from the activity, the activity itself, the staff/instructors and the food were all TOP QUALITY. The staff were all very well informed and highlighted the health and safety measures which was reassuring. Our captain was very confident and explained all commands and the supervisors accompanied us down the river in kayaks giving an extra sense of support should we have ever needed it. I would give it more than 5/5 if it was possible as the whole experience was genuinely so good from start to finish!

1,5h drive, good lunch, safety movie (all a bit long before the action starts), but rafting was absolutely great fun for our 5 kids 9-16 & us. Our guides were a lot of fun too! Recommended!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time whitewater rafting! The company is very well run and organized - we were very impressed! We all had an incredible time!

We booked a Class 4 rafting tour that was supposed to cover 10 km, but the day before our trip, we were informed that the river was too high. Instead, they suggested an 8 km tour. The rafting experience was at a Class 2-3 level, which was decent, but those expecting a Class 4 or higher experience might be disappointed. However, the pickup at our hotel, the facilities, and the overall service were outstanding! If you haven't tried white water rafting yet, this is the activity for you in Chiang Mai!

The adventure was fantastic. We loved it so much. The coaches and the staff were super nice and friendly. If you are interested too, don't hesitate to join! You will get an unforgettable experience as the adventure was really exciting!

A friend and I took the 10km whitewater rafting tour. After booking, I was contacted on WhatsApp by the company with details on what to expect, packing list, and answering any questions I had. Everything felt very well planned and professional. While rafting we had 2 kayaks following us for safety, as well as additional staff on the shore at the more intense sections of rapids. The included fried chicken lunch as delicious as well. We had a great experience and feel it was well worth the price we paid. I will definitely look to book another 8Adventures tour when I'm back in Chiang Mai and I highly recommend them for anyone else who is considering booking!

It was my 4th time with the 8Adventures team and they did not let me down. I had so much fun, met new people and just enjoyed the beautiful nature around me. The atmosphere is chill and fun. This is world class rafting and ATV operator. We have 2 teenage kids and they have been down the Mae Taeng River more than 5 times with 8 Adventures. They have also been down class III/IV rapids in California and Colorado so we have some perspective to compare. First, the 10 km section of river is awesome. Lots of moving water, good rapids and fun thrills. The scenery and nature are outstanding. And the whole operation runs with precision and safety. We often get the question - this is Thailand: is it safe? And the answer is, 8 Adventures is not Thailand. They are a world class operator: the safety standards, the staff training, the equipment maintenance. We know our kids are in good hands. You will enjoy and your kids will love it! It’s a must-do on any trip to Chiang Mai.

Our whitewater rafting adventure was simply amazing. We went with our family and felt safe the whole time. The guides went through all of the safety guidelines and expectations throughout our day. The food was great and it was a bonus that we could purchase pictures of our rafting fun that the photographer took (500thb). Highly recommend!

First of all the rafting was incredibly fun, and the safety was top notch! The guides were also great, and they made sure everyone was having a good time. It’s a bit pricey, but so worth it! Everything from transfer to safety briefing to rafting to lunch etc. ran like a well oiled machine, and we were never waiting for anything or anyone. Would highly recommend!

The experience was awesome. Was allowed to jump out of the raft and swim with elephants in the river. Also thrilling falling out of the raft when going down the rapids too!

Well organised and very professional. We were picked up from our airbnb and driven for about 1 1/2 hours where there was coffee / tea and a safety briefing. The rafting was good fun with some decent white water but also some calm bits where you could swim if you wanted. The boat captains were very good and friendly with lots of safety cover on hand. After there were showers and lunch. Would definitely recommend.

The staff pride themselves on the safety of their visitors. They want to make sure you are comfortable and have a great time rafting. If you want laughter, excitement and a great meal do this! 8 Adventures has every detail covered, fresh towel and shower available after your adventure. The crew and all staff go above and beyond to ensure your day time adventure is perfect.

It was January so water levels were on the low side, but that accentuated the technical characteristics of the rapids. Some pretty good wave trains and quite a few class 3 and 4 rapids, in quick succession. Less floating and rowing required than in rivers I’ve run in California. Plus we saw elephants 😀. Safety was emphasized, with two kayaks following six boats. Overall it was a fun experience.

The whitewater adventure with 8Adventures was amazing: very well organized and fun from start to finish. We did the 10km route (that includes the most intense rapids) and we’d recommend this option to anyone who isn’t afraid of swimming and likes a bit of a thrill. The team that was supervising the rafting was extremely professional and took safety seriously. In addition to the required information session, throughout the rafting we were guided by a skilled captain who would give us simple commands on when to row and when to get down and hold on. At all times, we were followed by trained professionals in kayaks ready to fish anyone out who’s fallen in the water. The rafting itself was super fun! The adrenaline of it all and the unforgettable experience of floating through the beautiful jungle. Great activity to do as a family, as a couple or with friends. Oh, and they’ll take pictures for you! Finally, in terms of logistical details, everything from prompt pick up to free cocoa to a plentiful lunch with fruit was super well thought out. Highly recommend!

Our whitewater rafting trip was fabulous. The staff were punctual on pickup. Communication about all aspects of this day adventure were excellent. We had a wonderful time and our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We would all highly recommend this activity.

This is a very smoothly run, professional operation. Booking the adventure was easy, communicating pre adventure for pick up (we drove to 8 adventures and they allowed us to park there as our hotel was outside the pickup range) was responsive and easy, the base camp was beautiful and organised into each adventure type, the rafting guides were so skilful and friendly, we saw elephants watering themselves in the river as we paddled, the adventure was exciting yet safe, the food at completion was so tasty and the adventure finished on time. The only feedback I could offer for improvement was to have some more drinking water at the departure zone before getting onto the rafts into the river. Brilliant business

highly recommend this company and tour!! they responded to my enquiries promptly and even gave me free photos sine we came in a group of 9. the whole tour was very organised, we came in a van that was provided by the company, and the safety instructions were very clear. each raft has a captain and they are all very entertaining, making sure you have fun on your trip. afterwards, they provided towels and a shower which had hot water, then the lunch they gave was good and sufficient. the amenities are good, the rafting was fun and safe and all staff are very nice and welcoming. very worth the money. would come again!!👍🏻👍🏻
