Secret Waterfall And Bamboo Rafting From Chiang Mai

Amazing experience from start to finish! The bamboo rafting and secret waterfall were both fantastic and definitely worth doing. Our lady tour guide was absolutely brilliant –so friendly, welcoming and full of energy! She made the whole trip really fun and enjoyable, keeping everyone entertained throughout. Such a lovely experience and one we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

M was an excellent guide, I really appreciated her sharing her local and cultural knowledge along the way. The whole tour is very well organized, the waterfall is absolutely stunning, and M keeps you well informed of the itinerary along the way. I also appreciated her sense of humor and taking some nice photos for us, iteamt we could leave our phones away and just enjoy the afternoon. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a must activity when visiting Chiang Mai. We had a little light rain scattered throughout the day-which didn’t make this activity any less enjoyable. The waterfall is beautiful and the bamboo rafting is such serene yet thrilling activity, elephant spotting included. Special shout out to our guide M who made this such an enjoyable experience-she’s the best!

Our day was fantastic ! We really enjoyed the bamboo rafting and our tour guide was brilliant ! Really worth it !

We went to the smaller waterfall where we could swim with a small rapid to go down too. We were provided water at several points and Thai tea, and were given a lift back up the hill to the van in a truck. The bamboo rafting was relaxing with a few small rocky areas and drops to go down. The river goes past several elephants which was a nice surprise. Finished off with some warm noodles , was a great morning out and really enjoyed it.

The waterfall was so pretty, our guide M was so funny and a great guide. She took our photos for us too! So nice! We encountered several elephants on the river and had a wild and hilarious ride! Handled well! Would recommend for a sunnier day than we had but still fun in the mud. The lunch was decent and fruit was good!

Wow, Amazing!!!!!! Favourite so far. Loved both the waterfall for the butterflies and dragonfly and experience then onto the Bamboo rafting with AMM. She was Awesome. A must do! Lunch was good too 🙏🫶🫡

We had an amazing day trip with Joy Your Trip in Chiang Mai, visiting the secret waterfall and enjoying bamboo rafting. The waterfall was absolutely stunning — easily one of the best we’ve seen during our time in Thailand. The bamboo rafting was a really unique experience and far more relaxing than I’d expected. Our tour guide, “M”, was wonderful throughout — taking lots of photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and meant we could really enjoy the experience. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

Scam company — do NOT book. We waited 90 minutes for the pickup and it never arrived. We contacted them and decided to cancel. They clearly told us “no problem” and promised a full refund. Then a few hours later they suddenly changed their story and refused to refund us. So they took our money, failed to provide the service, promised a refund, and then kept the money anyway. That’s not “bad service” — that’s dishonest and misleading. Avoid this operator and book with someone trustworthy instead.

Solid experience. Taxi pick up from hotel to the waterfall then rafting. They even provided tea and snacks at the waterfall then we ended with lunch.

Brilliant day! Em, Pai and Win were brilliant hosts and did a fantastic job getting us around. Bamboo rafting awesome.

Very good tour. Pik our tour guide made sure we were well looked after. The waterfall, rafting and lunch was great. Very helpful having the hotel pick up as well.

The tour was a shambles. The "guide" was completely out of her depth and hid rather than faced up to the issues. Eventually we got to the waterfalls which were pretty uninspiring. We hung around there doing nothing for far to long including our snack which was a biscuit and an undrinkable cup of tea. When we got to the rafting we were told we had to go 3 people per boat. As everyone had come as couples this was never going to work. The guide hadn't got a clue what to do. As it was there weren't anywhere near enough drivers for the boats even if we travelled in 3s. Eventually the initial couple of boats left and we had to wait a further 20-30 minutes for enough drivers to arrive to take us. The time on the raft was actually quite fun but this was only 30 minutes of enjoyment in a very long trip. Throughout the guide did not even apologise once. I could not recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time on the Secret Waterfall and Bamboo Rafting experience with Joy Your Trip. Our tour guide, M, was absolutely incredible, so friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole day feel relaxed and fun. The waterfall was beautiful and felt like a hidden gem, and the bamboo rafting was such a unique, peaceful experience. The boys steering the rafts were skilled and we even saw elephants!! Everything was well organised and exceeded expectations. Highly recommend, especially if you’re lucky enough to have M as your guide! 🌿💦

We had a great driver and great guide, named M. We had an easy hike to a beautiful waterfalls and the bamboo rafting was great fun!

So pleasantly surprised by this trip well organised and the rafting was an experience of a lifetime - we seen elephants ! Our driver and our guide (may I think her name was) was super funny, friendly and helpful ! Lunch on the tour was good too - no Thai tummy ! Waterfall and rafting were both quiet and not overbooked which made a nice change

Really enjoyed the whole trip with amazing people. Only thing I would like to say is that the pick up is a bit late due to ChiangMai Traffic and it becomes darker in the evening when we are doing the bamboo rafting. But, enjoyed the bamboo rafting and the whole trip is worth the price. The guide is lovely, funny and the transport is very comfortable. I would recommend this if you are going solo trip or couple trip and would like to try bamboo rafting in ChiangMai. Secret waterfall is also such a great place to enjoy the nature.

This was an unexpectedly good trip. We wanted to do the bamboo rafting and who doesn't like visiting a waterfall?! Anyway, off we trotted on a wet but warm November day. On arriving at the falls we were given light weight rain capes which I thought was likely over kill, wrong! The falls are really quite impressive, whether that is due to the recent amount of rain I cannot say but they were reasonably large, (Not Niagara, but a good size) and loud. I've some experience of fast flowing water and these falls and river were not to be taken lightly. Quite impressive and very photogenic. The bamboo rafting was crazy! Because the river was boarding on flood, it was very fast flowing, we all had buoyancy aids, inclung the raft 'Captain' and although he was very good and experienced there were a couple of times when it looked like we could be swimming, however he handled the raft perfectly getting us to our landing safe and sound. Following these adventures we had locally cooked Pad Thai which was very much appreciated after the cold river trip. After my partner, who booked the trip, said she was expecting more of a Lazy River kind of ride, that it most certainly was not! Bit a great trip is most certainly was. Obviously river conditions play a big parrot on how this trip pans out but either way I would happily do this trip again. Thank you all concerned

Had such a fun time on this tour! The waterfall was a bit scary but so beautiful (even got to go behind it!). Our tour guide, Pai, was amazing and the best guide! She was so kind and helpful, and also pointed out some nature facts on our small hike up to the waterfall which were very interesting. Would recommend the tour (and Pai) to anyone who is interested!

The whole experience was amazing. They took good care of us, water and snacks and lunch was available. I had kids with me and the staff were totally helpful and accommodating! I would defenitly recommend ✌🏻

The whole trip was approx 9am-3pm so it was a great option for a day out without being too long. The waterfall is beautiful - go wearing your swimwear as there’s nowhere to easily change by the waterfalls. We then went bamboo rafting which was great, some lovely peaceful bits and then some small rapids too - nothing too high-octane, but you’ll definitely be wet sitting on the rafts. Lunch was delicious - some pad Thai and fresh fruit, and they were very helpful for my son who’s a fussy eater Really recommend for a short daytrip

It was a day to remember. First we went to the waterfall, even the rain can’t stop us. Then we went bamboo rafting. The boys were very helpfull and funny. We even saw elephants! We recomend it to everyone!

Had such an amazing experience! To get to the waterfall was a short but beautiful hike. We stayed there and had a snack and admired the beauty. We then went to a stream and did some bamboo rafting which went through an elephant sanctuary! It was so wonderful to see them enjoying their natural habitat without the need to touch or bathe them. Pai one of our tour guides took some wonderful candid pictures of us and made us feel so welcome. It was raining and we were provided with ponchos and ended off our trip with some pad Thai! I defiantly recommend if you have the time.

Amazing experience with my friends. Host was informative and a wonderful human being. The waterfall was stunning and pleasant. The raft trip was perfect. Elephants on either side of us as we were expertly guided down the River to a delicious pad Thai lunch.

Our driver and guide Ball first took us to the Secret Waterfall and laid out picnic mats for us and gave us thai tea and some biscuits while we could sit and look at the waterfall or go for a swim and also gave us towels. We then went bamboo rafting about 15 minutes away and it was amazing, the guides on the raft would steer it and point out all the elephants, it was so so fun, I definitely recommend, and Ball made the experience so much better, he was so friendly, helpful and lovely. The only thing I would say is bring toilet paper and the toilets we went to didn’t have any :)

We booked this excursion practically at the last minute and, even so, the whole process went very well. The WhatsApp service was excellent, fast, and efficient, both by message and by call. The person we spoke with had very good, clear, and easy-to-understand English. On the day of the excursion, they were at the hotel door exactly on time and fully prepared. At the local, we were received by our guide, "M," who was very friendly, fun, and always available. All the activity was well organized and the explanations were clear throughout the tour. The experience went very well and we liked it a lot. We had the opportunity to see elephants along the banks, which was one of the most striking moments of the trip. I also found the organization's transparency important: they made it clear that the elephants we saw do not belong to them and that, if visitors observe any inappropriate behavior related to these animals, it is not the responsibility or control of the company. Overall, it was a very positive experience, well organized and with a professional and friendly team.

Quad bike tour and bamboo rafting Excellent outing that provides a change of scenery in the heart of nature with a very kind and attentive guide. I recommend this activity for families.

Everything was perfect The quad ride was very well done, we could even see elephants The waterfall was beautiful and you could swim in it And finally the descent of the river in bamboo was incredible, you have to hang on at times but on top Thanks again to M and Chai for all this!

The bamboo rafting was very nice you drive through a magnificent area. The driver was on the move quickly the tour guide was very well organized, the rafting boys were safely on the move with us. We highly recommend the tour. THANK YOU!

Nice driver and very nice and entertaining tour guide who makes no time pressure. Great location, you can even go behind the waterfall. The rafting was very funny, surprised how stable the rafts knotted together with bicycle tires are. Unfortunately, the riverbanks are totally littered. Info: There is actually the possibility to change on site, I would have liked to have known in advance;)
