We had a wonderful day with our tourguide mr M. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed taking lots of pictures. M was considerate and helped us plan the two trails so it was not very crowded. He also took us to a local restaurant with great food and gave us lots of tips on local places in Chiang Mai to visit during our stay. Overall a great experience!

Yut was an incredible tour guide, giving excellent information on Thai history, Buddhism practices, and local culture. His personal background, being from a small Karen village in north Thailand, gave his stories and teachings a unique perspective that was very different from our perception of Thai culture up into that point in our trip which had focused more on City-life. Yut was kind, attentive, respectful, and passionate about Thai culture. He also knew where to take the best photos. Makes sure to request him for the tour! The tour itself complemented our tour guide. First a stop by the amazing, Wachirathan Waterfall. Then two incredible hikes: Kew Mae Pan and Pha Dok Sieo. The first showcased the upper elevaations, cloud rain forest and subalpine meadow and had some breathtaking views. The second highlighted the lower elevation forests and a spectacular waterfall. Coffee with the local Karen tribe at the end was the cherry on top and Yut’s connection with another local Karen trail guide, Book, was great.
Had a great day trip with Mr. Tong, trekking in Doi Inthanon National Park. He was a good driver, great conversationalist, and always made sure we were comfortable and getting the photos we wanted. He also introduced us to some great Northern Thai food.
Fantastic tour! Mr. Tonk, my guide, driver, photographer (and, as he liked to add, „bodyguard“ 😉) for the day, was absolutely brilliant - from the on-time pick-up (in a very spacious and comfortable van), to all of the interesting information he shared and, of course, the stunning places he took me to. I also really appreciated Mr. Tonk’s and the tour operator‘s flexibility in adapting the tour itinerary slightly so that we were able to make an additional stop at the Twin Pagodas. Many thanks also to the two local guides who accompanied us on the hiking trails - very knowledgeable about their surroundings and if you are lucky, they might even teach you some magic tricks using only mother nature‘s tools 😉 Lunch at the local restaurant was also delicious, so was the coffee I got to try at Mae Klang Luang village. As for the trails themselves, they are not particularly difficult to hike, although I do recommend to be in good condition because hiking them both the same day does take some energy (it is absolutely worth it though - both trails are, in different ways, very scenic and memorable). Finally, one last thing to note - I have never had a guide who took as many amazing photos as Mr. Tonk. He will make sure you will leave this tour not just with great memories, but with a cameraroll full of perfect portrait shots! Highly recommended - without a doubt one of favorite travel experiences in Thailand thus far.
Today my husband and I went on a full-day private tour with Tong to Doi Inthanon. You should book this tour with him if you like 1) snacks and drinks included, 2) photographs in all the best spots with wide angle and portrait mode, 3) funny jokes and fun facts about Thailand, 4) interesting conversation about current events and political climate and economy, 5) thoughtful touches like picking us up from the other end of the lunch market after we walked the length of it and bringing TP + hand sanitizer for the toilet breaks. Mr Tong helped me enjoy a delicious lunch between our treks by ensuring the food we ordered was safe for my gluten sensitivity. He suggested what I ordered and communicated thoroughly with the restaurant staff, observing them to make sure it was done correctly - if you had a food allergy, you know how much psychological safety this brings, especially traveling abroad when you don’t read the language. The local guide Mr Cher (sorry if I misspelled) gave us so many magical moments by showing us birds and butterflies, and performing different funny tricks with leaves (making a bird call, making a thunder clap, and a leaf pinwheel). This duo was the perfect tour guide team for our honeymoon trip to Chiang Mai nature.
Our tour with Tong was the highlight of our trip to Chiang Mai. He was highly attentive, kind, and entertaining throughout the trip. We learned so much about Thailand and appreciated his fun energy and sense of humor. His English is excellent. We especially appreciated his help communicating with restaurant staff to accommodate my wife’s gluten allergy. We had an amazing time on the tour and highly recommend our tour guide to anyone!
We scheduled this tour for my birthday and it did not disappoint. Everything was wonderful and Yut was an amazing guide. The hikes were challenging but totally manageable and worth the trek up the mountain for the spectacular view. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and authentic and it was nice to get away from the city. This was 100% worth the entire day commitment and I would do it again in a minute.
This tour was the highlight of our trip - friendly and knowledgeable guide with great sense of fun and very considerate (rice based cookies were delicious). Comfortable car and very safe driving. Spectacular waterfall. Good pace for the morning trek through jungle to the view points. Excellent choice for lunch spot in local restaurant with freshly made to order dishes. The afternoon trek by waterfalls and rice fields was fantastic. Our local guide Mr Cher with a big smile found all sorts of wildlife and amused us with many musical instruments and toys he made from the vegetation. We learned so much and in a very relaxed way and have many photos of us both as a reminder of an excellent day.
Tong along with our driver gave us a fabulous day out which exceeded our expectations. The treks were both well worth while and Mr Cher, the local guide who joined us in the afternoon was great fun. Thank you so much. We highly recommend Pagoda View Tours and in Particular Tong and his team
We had the pleasure of having Khun Tong as our tour guide and he is nothing less than amazing! He was not only knowledgeable but funny as well and we had a really good time with him. He took really good care of us and service was really top notch. The tribal guides that brought us along the trails were really good as well. We had a really enjoyable day out in the Doi Inthanon and we would highly recommend this tour and Khun Tong!
We chose a private tour and was blessed with a very good tour guide called Khun Tong. He was very patient in explaining to us and giving us insights on the trek. He was also very funny and joked with us all the time. He took care of us during the whole trekking activity and made sure to pre-empt us what to look out for. View along the trek was breathtaking. There were points during the trek that were quiet and serene enough it felt like forest bathing (or some form of city detox)!
The hikes were great and we managed to see some incredible views and a green viper! Yut was very informative and was a great guide.
Our tour guide, Yut, was very funny and insightful. He gave a great nature and cultural experience of the tallest point in Thailand. To top it off, he gave us lots of snacks, toilet paper and cold water too throughout the trip. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Incredible day hiking in Doi Inthanon National Park - we did Kew Mae Pan & Pha Dok Siao trails with Yut as our guide. Pha Dok Siao had some incredible waterfalls, lots of wildlife, & ended with incredibly fresh coffee & maybe the best food we've had since we arrived in Thailand. Kew Mae Pan was steep but worth it for those views. Yut was an amazing guide from start to finish and we learned a ton through our conversations. Definitely ask for him when you book!
Great 2 hikes, one with awesome views and second with very knowledgeable guide who provided a lot of interesting information.
We had a wonderful day of excursions with Yut! We were thankful to not only be able to take in the vistas but also to be able to actually hike. Yut was generous with sharing his knowledge and did an excellent job of coordinating lunch and local guides.
We did the private tour of 2 trekking trails at Doi Inthanon National Park and would recommend to anyone! Puma, our driver and guide, was absolutely wonderful. Puma had extremely interesting facts that they shared with us throughout the trip and made sure we had an excellent experience. Thank you, Puma! The treks were great. Easy terrain, beautiful views, and wonderful nature. We loved the Maeklang Laung coffee and bought some to bring home! Lunch was also very good. Highly recommend for a great day!
We had the best time on this trip with Nui! He was such a funny guy, was super friendly and informative, and a great photographer. Everywhere we went he offered to take pictures of us and they were always amazing! He's also a really great driver. Seriously ask for Nui if you do this - you'll be happy you did! The first trek is a little uphill in the beginning, but anyone of moderate fitness level will be fine! There are great views all along the way, and the trail is practically pristine the whole way. You go through different eco systems which is fun to learn about as well! Lunch was delicious! It was so much food for the two of us and we loved it The second trail is almost entirely downhill. Easy, but a little rough on the knees. Wonderful waterfalls though! Depending on time of year, you cut through a strawberry field and can buy a snack! With both treks you have a local hill tribe guide. This is a great outdoor day to a beautiful part of Northern Thailand. The company is so well organized and really takes great care of you. We couldn't recommend it more!
We recently did the full day tour with two different treks and we really enjoyed it!! Our guide was great, full of chat and he looked after us really well. We were picked up at about 8am from our hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai, and dropped back by about 6pm. After about a 1.5hr drive we had a quick stop for coffee at a waterfall in the park. Then we did a lovely 3km trek at the top of Doi Ithannon (fab views!), with a local trail guide. We had a quick look around the pagoda near the top and this was followed by lunch at a local restaurant...somewhere we would never have stopped ourselves but our guide wanted us to try a particular local dish! After lunch we did another 3km-ish trek lower down in the valley, with another local guide. This was a lot quieter than the first trek and the views different, but just as amazing! All finished off in a village with coffee from a local plantation, yum! We had booked this trip in advance of traveling to Thailand based on Trip Advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed, we really enjoyed the day. Our guide was really helpful throughout, providing water and some local snacks and ensuring that we were happy with the lunch food. We would really recommend this tour!
We had a great time on our day trip. Taew was a great guide! We saw many waterfalls and ate great food! Taew did a great job explaining Thailand culture and answered all of our questions. Would definitely recommend!
Very well organized tour in Doi Inthanon. Our private driver/guide was very professional and very friendly. He took a lot of pictures of us and send them back to us at the end of the day. The walks are really easy (20mn and 1h15), even for 8 years old children. Not sportive at all. But a lot of wetness (rain Forrest) and muddy paths, in August. Very nice landscape and vegetation.
Highly recommend activity for a day in Chiang Mai. Our guide and driver was very friendly and informative. The car was super comfortable 4x4 so travel was easy. Guide from the national park tribe was friendly, spoke good English and told us a lot about plants and animals we saw during the walk. At the end we had coffee in the village. Lunch was very tasty and according to our spicy-ness level (i.e. mild). The tour took almost 10 hours in total with 2 hrs of hiking in the park.
This was en excellent tour. Our 2 guides Nui and Book were very friendly and informative. The first trek was the 2 hour nature walk after which we stopped for a really nice lunch. The second trek with Book followed the river down to the Karen Village visiting a number of waterfalls. The tour finished at the Karen Village with a tasting of locally made coffee. Nui and Book also very kindly took a number of photos and videos for us. I would definitely recommend this tour.
We opted for a private tour to have more flexibility. Our day started at 8.30 and our tour guide was very ponctuel. We had a very pleasant day starting at Wachiratharn Waterfall, visiting two pagodas in the National Park and ending with a trekking in the Doi Inthanon National Park. The tour was well organised and we had a yummy lunch in the Park that was included. We were back in Chiang Mai around 6pm which was just perfect. I can certainly recommend Pagoda Tours
