Private Chiang Mai Temple Tour With Doi Suthep And Wat Umong

We had an amazing experience on this private temple tour! Our guide, M, was absolutely wonderful. He arrived right on time in a beautiful, comfortable SUV and was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. He took the time to explain the history and significance of each temple, answered our questions, and made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. The pace was perfect, and we never felt rushed. M truly made this experience special for us. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai, especially if you’re lucky enough to have M as your guide!

A brilliant day. Tony our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgable whilst ensuring we had a great time. Along with our driver Aek nothing was too much trouble. The mini van was comfortable and clean and offered a lovely respite from the heat with cold towels and water. Tongs knowledge of the temples and pace of information was perfect. He was the best guide. The four temples you visit give a great overview especially the Mountain Wat. Would highly recommend.

Our brilliant tour guide Tong gave us a day to remember. He gave us lots of facts, dates and historical detail but also made the day good fun. With three over 70 year olds in our group he made sure that we were able to get in and out of the vehicle with an offered hand of support. We learned a lot and laughed a lot too! A big thank you to Tong and our wonderful driver Aek.

Our tour guide Tong was extremely knowledgable and funny whilst genuinely wanting us to enjoy the day. He was very attentive to make sure we had sufficient water and to lend a hand to the grand parents when needed. He got the mix just right between giving information and having fun. He is also a great photographer and was forever suggesting places to get the perfect picture! Lunch and snacks were delicious. Aek our driver provided a wonderful Minibus for our travels with plenty of water, cold towels etc which provided relief from the heat when he whisked us steadily and smoothly up the windy roads in between temples. This was a great experience from start to end. Our guide Tong was fantastic - warm, funny and genuinely concerned that we have a great day. He couldn’t do enough for us including a diversion to a local market to get my mother’s glasses fixed! ( they had broken the day before) All in all an excellent tour, thank you so much

He is a skilled guide and a kind and thoughtful person, who elevated the already incredible experience to truly memorable. We had a wonderful guidet tour with Tong and his co-workers! It was a fun and interesting tour! We specially loved the hidden temple with all the green! It was a nice gesture that he provided us with a delicous snack from his home town and a small present for all of us! We hoped to see the sunset, but knew it is lower probability in the rain season! We still enjoyed the mountain and the the fog coming and going! We reccommend this for others!

Loved all the temple sights and the hill tribe village was a fun experience interacting with the tribes. There are several different tribes in one area and you will be helping them by visiting and buying their handmade items.

Wow!!!!!!!!! Our tour with Tong was incredible. It’s a special experience to see this city through someone who is a native to Chiang Mai. Tong’s knowledge of the area is only matched by the size of his heart and the efforts he takes to make this a memorable experience. He was so thoughtful, going above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy, teaching us about the culture and history of the temples, and we were so happy to learn about him, his family, and his life in Chiang Mai. He even took the extra time to drop us off at his favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai after our tour… it was amazing!!! We cannot rate this tour highly enough. It was made so good by our guide Mr Tong, he was so knowledgeable and informative nothing was too much trouble for him. I only wish we had known about him when we first arrived in Chang Mai as we would have loved to use him for all our tours. His English was also very good.
