Wat Sri Suphan, also known as the Silver Temple, is a unique and visually stunning temple in Chiang Mai, famous for its intricately handcrafted silver decorations. Located near Wua Lai Road, the city’s traditional silver-making district, the temple showcases exquisite silver carvings that depict Buddhist teachings, Lanna culture, and mythical creatures. Wat Sri Suphan is a must-visit for those interested in Lanna heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and unique temple architecture.
Wat Chedi Luang, or the Temple of the Great Stupa, is one of Chiang Mai’s most historic and revered landmarks. Built in the 14th-15th century, this ancient temple once housed the Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most sacred relic. The temple’s massive brick chedi (pagoda), though partially ruined by an earthquake in the 16th century, still stands as an awe-inspiring structure, showcasing the grandeur of old Lanna architecture. Surrounding the chedi are beautifully adorned temples and the City Pillar Shrine (Inthakin Shrine), an important spiritual site for locals. Visitors to Wat Chedi Luang can explore its rich history, stunning architecture, and serene atmosphere, making it a must-visit cultural site in Chiang Mai.
Wat Phra Singh, one of Chiang Mai’s most important and revered temples, is renowned for its classic Lanna architecture, intricate wood carvings, and sacred Buddha images. Built in 1345, the temple houses the highly revered Phra Buddha Sihing, which is believed to be one of the most significant Buddha statues in Northern Thailand. The temple complex features beautifully decorated viharns (prayer halls), golden chedis, and detailed murals that depict ancient Thai folklore and Buddhist teachings.
The Karen Long Neck Village offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditions and way of life of the Karen Padaung people. Known for their distinctive brass neck rings, which symbolize beauty and cultural identity, the women of the village have preserved this tradition for generations. Visitors can observe traditional weaving, interact with the locals, and learn about their history, customs, and craftsmanship. A visit to the Karen Long Neck Village is a unique and culturally enriching experience, offering insight into one of Thailand’s most fascinating ethnic communities. *The duration included traveling time from Chiang Mai City*

Ata was a great guide - he brought us about the locations and Thai life! We were picked up directly from the Airbnb and visited beautiful temples. The long neck village was mostly just a place to buy local things but it was nice to see and support the artists who hand make things.
G.Bright was a brilliant guide. Helped and assisted us in everything. Hope to get other guides with him!
I had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour! Everything was well-organized, but the true highlight was our guide, G. Bright. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. His warm energy made the whole day special. Highly recommend!

I had a great time on my tour with Sanmon. He was patient as we walked and shopped and didn’t mind taking many photos of me and my friend. He was great in explaining the story behind the long neck people and even taught me how to say a few words in their language. Great time and very interesting!!! I would definitely recommend him as a tour guide on this tour.

He led us through the tour, making suggestions, offering commentary for clarity and helping us interface with the native people. He made the entire tour educational and FUN! I strongly recommend him!
Nice tour by Saman. It was a small group and a lot of information.
It was a great experience. Very interesting to see different cultures and history. The guide was very good at explaining the meaning behind the temples and history. Overall it was a great experience that we will remember for a long time.
We had an absolutely fantastic 4-hour tour with G.Bright! We visited three beautiful temples in Chiang Mai and the Long Neck village. By chance, we ended up being the only two people on the tour, and G.Bright turned it into an incredible private experience. He was incredibly bright, helpful, and very friendly from start to finish. His knowledge and warm personality made the day truly special. We highly recommend booking a tour with G.Bright if you want an exceptional and welcoming guide in Chiang Mai!
We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Long Neck Village and Temple Tour in Chiang Mai. The tour was well organised, the temples were beautiful, and visiting the Long Neck Village was a really interesting and memorable experience. What made the day truly exceptional was our guide, G Bright. He was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the places we visited. He answered all of our questions, never rushed us, and made the whole experience enjoyable and informative. We were also lucky enough to be the only two people booked on the tour, so it felt like having our own private guide for the day. That made the experience even more personal and relaxed. A huge thank you to G Bright for making this one of the highlights of our time in Chiang Mai. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Saman has provided excellent service and is very knowledgeable. Really enjoy my tour with him. Tha ks for the great service.
Saman was exceptional, a real font of knowledge. Was able to answer all of my questions and gave a very enjoyable experience. It was daunting doing a tour alone, but it was fabulous. Thank you!

Auntie Jane is the best! She gave the best information on temples.
Amazing trip we are so happy with Jane who showed us beautiful places
If I could give a 10 star rating, I would. Saman, my tour guide was beyond exceptional! As a solo female traveller, I feel like he went above and beyond to make me comfortable and understand everything he was explaining. I feel very educated with temples, life as a monk and the Karen village. I would highly recommend this tour. I couldn’t have had a better tour guide. Thank you so much for your calmness, teaching me what to do in temples and being so kind. I will be back!
Our trip was to the long neck village and 3 temples. The price of the tour covers all the temple admission fees. The visit lasted around 3+ hours. It wanjus 3 of us. Our guide Saman was very informative and nice. It was a very good tour
Nancy was very good guide we appreciate all of the tour I recommande 100%
Some people think visiting the hilltribes of Chiang Rai is like visiting people in a Zoo. Other people feel that they are supporting the survival of the hilltribe people by purchasing their arts and crafts. The hilltribe people were most appreciative.
Very insightful. Our tour guide was amazing and had a lot of knowledge, as he as a ex monk. One thing that would’ve been better would’ve been if you just charged us admission fee upfront instead of in each temple
Very good tour. We had a great experience in the red your bus
4h Tour to the Long neck village and 3 very beautiful Tempels. My Guide, G. Bright, was amazing. He told me many Information. I recommend absolutely. Super!!! The best Guide.
Nice tour in the long neck village and temples. Outside temperature was really hot at noon and makes me to be moody and don’t enjoy the visit to temples properly
G Bright, was very good and knowledgeable at all the places we went! Truly a genuine Lanna Thai guide and person. Well done and keep up the good work Khun Bright🥰❤️🙏🏻
We had a very nice tour with our guide G Bright. He picked us up on time, was attentive to our questions and requests. The long neck village is interesting and worth seeing. He also brought us to temples we haven’t visited before ( as we did another tour the day before).
G.bright was a fantastic guide. Very attentive and sweet. It was good to have a guide for the temples to get a better understanding of the cultural significance. The village was nice but was more of a tourist market experience.
Have to rush through sites to get to all three temples. Walking was uneven for seniors. Lots of things to buy. Tour guide was knowledgeable and communicated well.
I really enjoyed this tour. I was lucky to have Jean to be my guide, she is so nice and have great knowledge about the places visited
A wonderful morning tour. Our guide Maggie was excellent and I learnt so much about Thai culture. Learning about the people of Long Neck Karen was interesting and the children were so sweet.
Great experience. Learned a lot about the Karen people. The guide, Bright was very enthusiastic to share his knowledge. I recommend.
Saman was very knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure to wait for us to take pictures and took some lovely pictures of me and my daughter.

Bright has been very sweet, kind and knowledgeable about Chiang Mai culture and history. Very fruitful day trip. Recommend this tour.
We recently took a half-day tour with Mr. Saman Duangkham of WanderSiam in Chiang Mai, and the experience completely exceeded our expectations. For a short, four-hour tour, we were amazed at how much history and insight we packed in without ever feeling rushed. From the moment we met, Mr. Saman Duangkham was incredibly nice, calm, and patient. He also had a wonderful sense of humor, which kept the energy high and made the tour feel like a fun outing with a friend. What's more, we appreciated that Mr. Saman focused entirely on the history and sights, with absolutely no pressure or hard-selling of items or merchandise. Mr. Saman was genuinely enthusiastic about Chiang Mai's history and took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly, making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. He struck the perfect balance between sharing fascinating, detailed historical context and providing engaging, local anecdotes that brought the area to life. We never felt like we were just being read facts; it was a conversation. The pacing was excellent—a critical factor for a half-day format. Mr. Saman Duangkham managed the schedule seamlessly, ensuring we saw all the major highlights of the city while still allowing time for photos. His calm and patient approach made the whole trip feel relaxed, even when navigating busy areas. His deep knowledge of local temples and the surrounding tribal culture was outstanding and truly added depth to the experience. If you are looking for an efficient, enriching, and thoroughly enjoyable introduction to Chiang Mai, look no further. Mr. Saman Duangkham is a five-star guide, and we highly recommend booking him for your tour!

Okish. Safe Secure. I think it could be improved Saman was nice and considerate. Started a bit late, partly due to our delay.
