We had a fablous tour with Vivi as our guide. She was super friendly and was very informative about the areas we visited. The tour tooki us to places we wouldnt have seen had we walked around on our own. We had a great lunch at the market, and the Matcha stop was very much welcome. I would highly recommend this tour, and if you are lucky enough to get Vivi as your guide you are in for a good few hours.

Had a wonderful tour of Old City with great guide Vivi, who was informative, funny and had a kind word for all the locals we passed. It all went at an easy pace. We visited beautiful temples and hidden gems like the silver workshop for local disadvantaged people. I learned about new and different forms of massage (being hammered with sticks? 'barbecue'??). We mainly took the back streets and alleyways with Vivi indicating very clearly and always keeping it safe. I was pleasantly surprised that company insist on helmet being used and also happy to note the bike was in good condition. It was probably the best of all the city bike tours I've done ( quite a number!)
We loved that the route took us to so many different places with no tourists, but local people. From temples to small markets and quiet back roads. Kon was funny, attentive, and clearly knew the area inside As a couple, we loved that the route took us to so many different places with zero tourists — just local life. From hidden temples to small markets and quiet back roads, it felt like we were seeing the "real" Chiang Mai instead of the usual tourist trail. Kon was funny, attentive, and clearly knew the area inside out. The bike gear was in excellent condition too, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Bonus: the bike shop also serves some of the best coffee in town! Perfect way to start before heading out. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai who wants an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience. Thank you, Kon!
This was a fantastic way to see local life, understand more about Chang Mai and cover lots of places. The ride was very easy, felt safe and with plenty of stops. Morning coffee and lunch afterwards was excellent. Our guide Lek, was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend to anyone.
The bike tour was fruitful. We were so impressed by the fruit market and the refreshing coconut water. We were a group of 12 people, and our tour guides, Nick and Vivi, took great care of us. They allowed flexibility during the tour while still maintaining good time management. This was my third time joining this tour, and I still enjoyed it very much - especially this time with my friends. I hope I can join the mountain bike tour next time!
What a great way to spend a morning seeing the otherwise hidden sights of Chiang Mai. I was fortunate to be the only participant in the ride and my guide, Lek went above and beyond to give me a very personal experience. As an early morning tour, got to experience the buzz at the wholesale food markets and Lek kept me satisfied with fresh, tasty treats, and a fabulous lunch too. As a bonus, Lek was taking plenty of photo's through the ride, so I did not have to and promptly shared a link to access them afterwards. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
We spent a wonderful morning in the company of our fabulous guide who showed us all aspects of Chiang Mai sights and life. From temples to markets to street life to communities we saw it all. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide explained what we saw and shared with us many interesting facts about Chiang Mai and Thai life. 100% recommend for families with teenagers who want an easy but active day learning all about Chiang Mai and the Buddhist way of life. Topped off with a delicious lunch at the Chinese market. There was a small mix up with our pick up but they more than compensated with a wry warm welcome and free lift back to our hotel. Much appreciated 🙏
We did our bike tour through Chiang Mai with our guide Vivi, a very nice woman who shared lots of useful information about the city and its people. It was a relaxed tour that I can absolutely recommend to everyone. Our tour guide took photos of us along the way, and these were sent to us by email afterward. It couldn't have been better. Thank you so much for the wonderful tour, Vivi!
We loved our bicycle tour. We saw so many back alleys and parts of Chiang Mai we wouldn’t have seen. Our guide was great, answered all my questions and more, giving us more details about Chiang Mai. Loved our coconut pancake and coconut water at Worowat market. Wonderful afternoon, so worth doing.
I had an absolutely unreal experience on this bike tour. From start to finish, it felt less like a standard tour and more like something tailored just for me. Vivi was an absolute standout. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about everything along the route, but she delivers it with so much personality and humor that you’re constantly engaged. She’s genuinely funny without trying too hard, and there’s something about her vibe that just puts you at ease straight away. It honestly felt like I was being shown around by someone from back home rather than a guide I’d just met. Super down-to-earth, welcoming, and just great energy all around. Dan, the intern, deserves serious credit too. Calling him an intern almost feels wrong because his knowledge and professionalism are already at a top level. His English is excellent, communication was smooth the whole time, and he carried himself with the confidence of a lead guide. With the way he handled everything, I’d be surprised if he stays an intern for long—he’s more than ready to step up. Genuinely impressive. Both Vivi and Dan made sure I felt looked after the entire time. The service was warm, attentive, and effortless. You can tell they really care about giving people a great experience, and it shows in every detail. Highly recommend this tour—if you get Vivi and Dan, you’re in for something special.
Very positive experience! Truly recommend! Lek was an amazing guide!
The tour exceeded expectations, which was high given all of the five star reviews. Vivi was super knowledgeable and passionate about the city. We also really appreciated that she took pictures while we were touring and sent them to us afterwards. We had a small group - just five of us, including Vivi. Most of the time we were on side streets but we occasionally were on the main streets with lots of exhaust. If you are sensitive to exhaust, bring a mask!
We loved our tour. Vivi was so informative. We got to see a different perspective of Chang Mai. The city bike was in great condition and I felt very safe and comfortable riding with Vivi as our guide
I did this 3 hour tour which was led by Vivi. She was extremely welcoming, courteous and enthusiastic. I am not a very experienced cyclist and was somewhat uncomfortable in the traffic. She adjusted the tour to start with quieter places and very safely guided me on busier streets. After a few minutes I grew in confidence. I got to see parts of Chiang Mai that I couldn't have managed on my own and wouldn't have learnt as much as I did with her. Very much enjoyed the conversations with her and the tea and shome shopping in the Warorot market! I would like to come back and do a longer tour with her!
We had a near perfect experience on our city bike tour! Our guide, Vivi, was absolutely excellent—her English was very good, she made everything fun, and she showed us so many different sides of the city. We loved riding through the narrow side streets and (jokingly!) risking life and limb on the busy roads. It added to the adventure and the charm of the experience. Vivi also took fantastic photos of us along the way and sent them afterward, which was such a great touch. Wonderful memories captured and shared! Overall, highly recommended. A great way to explore the city and enjoy a bit of excitement along the way!
I joined a city cycling tour in Chiang Mai today and it was a fantastic experience. The route was well planned, and easy to follow. We explored many parts of the old city and local neighborhoods that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. The guide Vivi was super friendly, knowledgeable, and explained the history and culture of Chiang Mai in a clear and engaging way. The pace was relaxed, with enough stops for photos, water breaks, and explanations, so it never felt rushed. The bicycles were in good condition and the overall organization was very professional. This tour is a great way to experience Chiang Mai from a different perspective while staying active. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Joined the Half day city bike tour in the evening. We were the only two for this tour and enjoyed a great time, as our Guide Vivi gently and safely took us through the city. Free to ask anything about what you want to know about Chiang Mai. We are lucky to have enough time for conversation with our guide ViVi. She is kind, smart ,humorous and a professional Guide. Highly recommended for this tour!
Vivi is the ultimate guide, gives you the ultimate insight on history, religion, vegetation, flora and humor. The cycling was easy through narrow car free alleys
We went on a twilight cycle tour (4pm) around the town, seeing the silver temple, and lots of other lovely hidden gems. Great tour guide. Great way to explore on our first afternoon in chiang mai. Cycling was flat. We were 1 adult & 2 teenagers. Highly recommend!
We went on this tour in the rain, with some streets flooding. Even so, it was one of the best experiences in Thailand. Our guide Vivi was terrific. She taught us a lot about Thai culture, customs, and food. We saw many areas of Chiang Mai that we would have missed otherwise. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible time with Trailhead on a guided bike tour through the streets and back alleys of Chiang Mai. Our guide, Lek, was absolutely fantastic – happy, warm and incredibly knowledgeable, also photographed our experience very well with his own SLR camera. He shared a wealth of Thai history and cultural insights along the way, making the experience both enriching and enjoyable. We started the morning with a beautiful barista-made coffee at their shop. One of the highlights was exploring a bustling local market – the kind of place you'd never find or feel confident navigating without a local guide. Lek guided us effortlessly through hidden laneways and quiet streets, avoiding main roads. His understanding of the area made it feel like we were getting a true insider’s look at the city. We also visited some of Chiang Mai’s most stunning temples, learned about the stories behind them, and enjoyed a delicious Thai meal that was all included in the experience. The bikes were comfortable – well-maintained single-speeds, which were all you needed for the flat city terrain. Even though we went over time, there was no rush or pressure, and we weren’t asked to pay anything extra – just a relaxed, generous, and well-run experience from start to finish. Couldn’t recommend it more – a perfect way to experience Chiang Mai with a thoughtful and experienced guide.
We explored famous landmarks and hidden local spots at a relaxed pace. We enjoyed a refreshing coconut drink at a market and had delicious pad thai at a scenic spot — it was such a fun and fulfilling way to spend the day. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole ride felt safe and enjoyable. Thank you so much for taking photos for us and helping create such wonderful memories. Highly recommended!
1. The tour started in Chiang Mai Old City – easy meeting point. 2. Bicycles were in great condition, comfortable and safe to ride. 3. Friendly and knowledgeable local guide led the tour – led by Khun Lek, who brought along a digital camera and captured great moments throughout the ride. At the end, they shared beautiful street photography from the activity. 4. Visited key spots like: • Warorot Market (colorful and lively!) • Hidden temples (peaceful and beautiful) • Local blacksmith shop. 5. Learned about Chiang Mai’s history and culture along the way. In general. 6. The ride was at a relaxed pace with enough breaks and photo stops. 7. Complimentary local lunch and welcoming coffee were provided. 8. A meaningful, eco-friendly way to explore the city. 9. Suitable for solo travelers, couples, or small groups. Thank you for the excellent tour experience. Wishing you continued success and growth in your business.
A fascinating and insightfull tour of local culture and ways of life. The guides are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting Chiang Mai for the first time.
Such a great tour with the best guide Vivi. She told us a lot about whatever we asked and gave us very interesting informations. It was fantastic to explore the city via bike - I enjoyed it a LOT!
Great trip with friendly guide and complimentary good coffee and food. Good paste on trip without too many historical details.. 😃
Had a great bike ride and tour through the streets of Chiang Mai. Vivi was a very good, friendly, knowledgeable tour guide and she was happy to answer any and all questions. I really liked her encouragement to try some different types of market foods. The ride was easy and mostly off big roads and provided a different perspective on the city — a good mix of locations to show life in Chiang Mai. I'm really glad I did this tour.
Great experience with Vivi as our guide, who was knowledgeable and a great host. Tour was well paced for both adults and children and interesting too and not arduous. Lunch went down well and the extra touches like feeding the fish at the temple and trying food specialities at the market was fun. The coffee/trailbike shop with complimentary drinks was also lovely. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend.
What a fabulous way to see and learn about Chiang Mai. Our guide Vivi was very informative and along with Kib and Pang the morning was perfect. Cycling throughout the old town was safe and we made heaps of stops along the way. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
I was the only one who signed up for today's trip. The tour guide said that I was a VIP. He paid close attention to my riding status along the way. He also gave detailed introductions to each scenic spot he visited. He also helped take photos and videos along the way, especially since he could ride while riding. It’s really cool to shoot a video while riding! By the way, he can also make coffee, so remember to try it next time!
Both guides where fantastic with great personalities and great language skills. Vivi made me laugh and helped me engage with local traditions. Even if it didn't go to plan hahaha.
Brilliant experience. The whole vibe at Trailhead is very cool. Vivi my guide was exceptional. It was so chilled following her, a local along side streets and visiting smaller less "touristy" temples that I'd never have found without her. Bicycle is the perfect vehicle for exploring central Chiang Mai. Vivi also introduced me to local master herbalist because I am interested in traditional healing methods and this was a very special experience. Vivi also chose an authentic northern Thai food stall for lunch and it was the BEST Thai food I had in my whole time in Thailand. Thank you Vivi...!! FYI... Google maps takes you to the wrong spot.... Trailhead is actually on a side street not far from where Google maps thinks they are.. DO IT!
This was a great tour. We enjoyed the Silver Temple and Silver Hall, additional temple where we fed the catfish, side roads and alleys where we saw the daily life and gardens of the local families. Warorot Market, we loved the flowers and exotic things for sale. Vivi was a great tour leader!!! We really enjoyed ourselves. It was an adventure, we’d do it again.
Had an excellent experience. We were greeted with a welcome drink at the coffee shop and spent a half day ride with our guide. It was just the two of us so a very personalized tour. We navigated streets, alley and bridges safely. There was time for drinks and lunch. Would recommend to anyone for a way to get outside of the old city and explore a bit.
The trip is amazing. When I arrived at Trailhead shop, the staff served me a chillin drink with loveky smile. They are super friendly and helpful. My tour guide is Vivi, and there was only me and her along the whole trip. She is increditably energetic and kind, told me a lot of stories about the Chiang Mai city and temple culture, histrory. Lovely day with her. We ended up returned to the shop at 8pm ish (start at 4pm), she gave me a cold drink again. Definitely recommend to who wanna do something different and explore the city by interacting with local community. Will come again next time visit Chiang Mai :D
We had the lovely Vivi as our guide and she went above and beyond for myself and my wife who were the only 2 people on the tour this evening. Went via a number of temples both inside and outside the old city and then took in a couple of markets, a lovely canal that had been transformed into a funky locals pathway, a secret roof top bar and then some more markets! A lot of the trip was outside the old city which was fantastic and gave us a great insight to what is behind the 4 walls of what most people come to Chiang Mai to see. Vivi was incredibly helpful and insightful and we throughly enjoyed the cycle and at all times felt very safe despite the traffic around us. Recommend. Highly.
Wow! What a great company. We did the city bike tour in Chang Mai. This tour was easy paced, with plenty of stops and lots of hidden inclusions. Our guide Vivi, was a highlight. She is vibrant, fun and informative. We had some great laughs! 😄 And for coffee lovers their shop make a great latte! Highly recommend. ❤️❤️❤️
This was a fun little tour. not too long, not to short. Perfect thing to do right when you arrive to get a feel for the city and get some suggestions from locals. The guides were great and they took a bunch of great pictures.
A great time! Was a lovely way to see the city and hidden spots you wouldn’t normally see. Kom was a great guide, very informative and friendly. Was a wonderful way to spend the morning
Brilliant tour around some really interesting and unusal spots in Chiang Mai. Our guide Vivi was really amazing. Full of local knowledge and super friendly. This is a must do in Chiang Mai!
This trip was excellent and I would certainly recommend it. The guide TK is clearly passionate about her city and with good communication skills she provided interesting commentary. Very easy cycling across flat urban terrain
This was an amazing morning - a highlight of our visit to Chang Mai. We were well looked after and kept safe. A highly recommended tour with many photos provided as a lasting souvenir.
Vivi and Tum were such fantastic guides- warm, engaging, caring and fun! They made the trip!!! I had such a wonderful experience- highly recommend doing this as a way to explore Chiang Mai. 10 out of 10!!!
The bike tour is one of the best memories that we had in Chiang Mai. Actually, my parnets had a small fight the day before the trip. But when we met Nee (our guide), she was friendly and warm, so even my parents don't understand Ensligh deeply, they can still feel her positive energy and how relax the trip is. I'll definitely recommend my friends to join the trip if they want to visit Chiang Mai. I believe when I visit Chiang Mai next time, I would love to join their trip again! ps. The coffee and Thai milk tea in their shop is awesome as well!
I highly recommend this tour as it gave me a unique, alternative perspective of the city. My guide Vivi was an absolute delight and very insightful. I learnt a great deal about Chiang Mai culture while enjoying a lovely ride through the city.
Absolutely amazing bike tour of Chiang Mai's hidden gems with the coolest, most friendly and knowledgeable guide VIVVY! Not only did Vivvy show us all the spots listed on the tour, but multiple times we went off the beaten path with locals Vivvy quickly befriended, which made this tour so special. The tour company is extremely professional, and we felt cared for and comfortable the whole time, from the start of the tour when we were offered free drinks at the meeting spot's cafe, to the included lunch (we had basil pork/chicken, which was AMAZING), to the various markets and temples we got to explore and shop at, with Vivvy by our side the whole time. Best tour we've done in Thailand!
We would HIGHLY recommend Trailhead!! Our family of 4 (kids - 11 and 13) spent two weeks in Thailand this past December and the highlights from our trip were the excursions that we did with Trailhead. We booked three excursions: Life with the Lahu, Sticky Waterfall Explorer and 1/2 day Lifecycling in Chiang Mai. All three of the excursions were AMAZING! We absolutely loved them and our guides (Vivi, Lak and Kom) were FANTASTIC. They were so personal, knowledgable and kind! Communication (with Dan) leading up to the excursions was excellent as well.
We had a wonderful time cycling in the Chiang Mai city with our guide Vivi. I would highly recommend this trip as it takes you in the section of cities usually not visited by tourists. The cycling was very safe, in spite of some traffic on the roads. The guide was very courteous, informative and never rushed us. We also got great pictures sent to us (taken by the guide).
Our tour guide(Sichaphat) was so kind and helpful to introduce us attractive courses. Silver temple(Wat Srisuphan) was amazing! Thank you so much Sichaphat!!!
Very nice trip. Tour guide take time and explain well I discover another Chiang Mai. Very pleasant I recommend this trip, this company and especially Ticket
