If you were to do only one guided tour in Chang Mai this is the one I’d choose. Makes for a long day, but well worth it!

Amazing tour! Up close and able to touch and feed the elephants! Also, we went on a a beautiful hike. The tour guide spoke multiple languages. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.
Our family had the best time! We got picked up from our hotel right on time. Being with the elephants was an incredible experience and our kids just love it. Hiking through the national park and see the beautiful waterfalls with just the best.
Yes, it was hot and a little smelly—but absolutely worth it. Getting to interact with these gentle giants in such an ethical, respectful environment was incredibly moving. The staff were so hospitable and kind, clearly passionate about the animals and their care. You can tell the sanctuary prioritizes the animals’ well-being above all. I left with a full heart and so much admiration for everyone involved. Highly recommend!
The transport were great. Full bus and still room. Good aircon and out guide, Andy, was very informative. Did well with the languages and anticipated the weather so changed things for us to try and avoid issues. While still hit with Rain, it didn't spoil. When with the Elephants it felt like it was over so quickly. They tiered of us. Nothing was forced and the Elephants seemed happy. The surroundings were beautiful and plenty of photograph opportunities. All in all for a great price, great guides, I had a great day. Thank you all
We had an amazing (long day). The walk through the jungle was easy enough as mainly down hill. Odd steps and some slippery bits so good legs and sensible shoes. The elephants were great. So relaxed feeding them and making some real contact (on their terms obviously). Our guide Wan was lots of fun and I’m sure the trip was better for it.
They say to be ethical in all the vouchers, but when we drove away we saw 2 people riding on the elephant. Very sad and very bad business. Feel bad that we support this. Don’t go.
Such a great experience!!! There were 7 of us and we all had such an amazing experience. The best part was the elephants❤❤
The Living Green reserve was quitte a disappointment: I specifically wanted to go here because it’s classified as “ethical” but the area to feed the elephants is muddy and disgusting, as is the area to bathe them. No one told us we should bring flip-flops. If they opened in 2013… what have they been doing since?! It should be improved. The lunch was a mediocre Pad Thai at 11:30am followed by some fruit. No coffee, no other options. The hiking in the forest was very pleasant, with spectacular waterfalls and points of view. Our guide was also very helpful and nice, surely not paid enough.
Our guide, John, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the elephants: their personalities, where they came from and their behaviors. He was also very funny in explaining things to us. He helped take some great family photos. The lunch they provided was excellent. We chatted a little bit during our hike and he imparted some local knowledge of Thailand. I highly recommend this tour.
They state on the internet that they are ethical. But they are not... They let you feed and wash the elephants. With like 30 people at once on one elephant. And when you are done another group of 30 people comes in to do the same again...
This tour was AMAZING every part of the day was awesome the elephants temple and hike, but the elephants were of course the favorite! They seem to have such a good life at this sanctuary! The hike in Doi Inthanon is long but amazing.
Coming to Inthanon Heaven Trail is one of the best experiences we had in Thailand. The Living Green Sanctuary really is a proper elephant sanctuary, with rescued elephants who are visibly taken great care of. They are very friendly and used to people, love interaction and of course getting some sweets. We also had the chance of bathing them in the stream. Apart from the elephants, we visited Doi Inthanon park, and a coffee production plant, so it was a really amazing experience
We loved everything about this experience. The people are so nice and friendly. Our gide, Adam as well. Everybody was passionated with the elephants , it’s amazing! Truely recommend
The tour was amazing beautiful views and really enjoyed spending time with the elephants. Our tour guide Lulu was very nice and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!
I loved time spent with elephants. We gave them food, we coould pet them and than went to bath with them. I do recommend visit Living green elephant sanctuary
The views was amazing. We took lots of photos. Our group on tour was such a great people from all around the world also our tour guide(Mod) was excellent lots of knowledge and such a nice person. Definitely recommend 👌
I went on this trip with my partner on 15th September and it was great! The pick up and drop of from hotel was convenient. The driver and Lulu / “Sexy Man” provided a great day. At the sanctuary you could tell all animals were well looked after and seemed at ease with everyone on the tour. The lunch was also very nice! In the afternoon, the mountain walk and visit to the highest point in Thailand was also really good. I would recommend!
We had such a fun day and got a lot for the amount of money that we payed. The guides were fun guys and did their job very well. Throughout the day they took a lot of (good) pictures of us and shared them in the evening with a link. We went in the morning to the elephant sanctuary. We got some info about the elephants. It was very interesting and funny because of the funny guide. We got a bag of food for the elephants and got a lot of time to feed them, take pictures and enjoy the beautiful animals,... To top the morning of, we went bathing with the elephants in the river nearby. Realy fun that they didn't rush us through this special experience. We got lunch with a view on the elephants. In the afternoon we drove to the hightest point of Thailand. As they said, there was not much to see so it was a short stop before we drove to the national park. After visiting the national park we walked into the jungle for 1,5 hour. The guides were good at finding cool insects and even 2 little (poisoning) snakes. We were back at the hotel around 7pm. Fantastic day.
It was a beautiful experience to be so close to the elephants for such a long time (almost 3 hours) - fascinating animals! Much sugar cane and banans were provided to feed to them. Afterwards we took a bath in the river together with the elephants. On top of Mount / Doi Inthanon it was quite cold, cloudy and windy, which was a very cool atmosphere. The jungle hike in the end to two waterfalls and rice fields was quite adventurous. However, the walking path was very muddy and slippery, which is probably the normal condition during the rainy season - this might be a problem for older people or people who aren't used to go on hikes. Still it was much fun and a great day trip!
This people really love their job it was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end it was really worthy I will be back 100 times
This was honestly such a lovely experience! The visit to the elephant sanctuary was amazing. Although it was a little intimidating at first, it was so amazing to feed and be around such amazing creatures! Considering it was quite a hot day, bathing the elephants was incredibly refreshing and so much fun. Really special experience!
Those elephants are so friendly and playful and just happy you can tell :) this experience melted our hearts 🥰
This tour was one the best memories from my 2 weeks trip to Thailand. This tour is a MUST DO, you get to do so much in one day. The experience with the elephants was amazing, definitely the highlight of the tour but the other two activities are great too. The hike, the views, the waterfalls and the visit to the beautiful pagodas.
We enjoyed the whole experience feedinf the elephants the hike to the top of waterfall was hot the scenery was amazing and also lunch was excellent.
One of my best days in Thailand! I highly recommend to book this one! Funny guide and overall a great atmosphere throughout the whole day!
We really enjoyed the tour. It was very informative and the guides were very professional. Feeding and bathing the elephants was a beautiful, once in a lifetime experience. Would definitely recommend!
Guided were fantastic and you could see how well looked after & happy the elephants were. Would 100% recommend
We loved our experience in Living Green Sanctuary. I loved every minute of it. The elephants are, what to say, the sweetest creatures. Thank you so much guys!
It’s been a really pleasant experience with all what belongs to it. The elephants were very cute and open towards strangers. They either wanted to play or to eat you the food out of the bag:D it’s a good project and I appreciate that there are more such a places with people who also want to help. The temple with the walk is also really cool and interesting, with magnificent nature and views. I only can recommend it!
Said small groups of max 13, we where around 30 people with 4 elephants, thats not what we paid for… Nice guides.
It was great to see these magnificent animals up close, to have the opportunity to feed and bathe them. The sanctuary does a sterling job by rescuing elephants that have been domesticated and used for work, circus or riding and giving them a protected life. We learned a lot about how the elephants live. Our guide Lulu was very knowledgeable. All in all a great experience.
Really well managed, expectations set clearly, guide was brilliant, elephants seemed really well cared for, people super nice and genuine.
Great experience with a lot of insights about how elephants live, are unfortunately explored but then rescued. This is a real sanctuary where elephants can live in freedom on hectares of land. The visit of a Karen people’s village was also nice and the trip trough the rice fields and forest was really scenic. We fully recommend this tour.
We booked the sanctuary and the Intuanon trail. Our guide was Adam. He was so friendly and knowledgeable! The sanctuary was amazing and we got up close to the elephants which included a baby elephant! Next we had a chance to splash water on the elephants in a pool. Lunch was so good. Next we went to Inthanon park and saw pagodas built for King Rama 9th. Lastly we went saw waterfalls. Finally we went to a local coffee roaster and learned about coffee roasting! Great experience and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to interact with elephants in an ethical way.
The guides are very friendly and accommodating. The group was larger than expected. Nonetheless I still had a very good time interacting with the elephants, visiting the pagodas and meeting local people in their village after hiking up to the waterfall.
Such a great experience! Lovely tour guides, funny and informative. Explained where the elephants came from, a bit about their temperament and habits and diet. They are treated very well - you feed them and then bathe them in the river. After that we visited the King & Queen pagoda and the highest point in Thailand (both right up in the clouds), and finally went for a 2-3 hour hike in Doi Inthanon National Park, where we saw the crops on layers and met/had tea with locals. They picked us up and dropped us off at our motel - amazing to pack so much in in a day. Great value: all thoughtful and kind. And a great pad Thai for lunch. Highly recommended.
What an outstanding experience. Very well done. Everyone in our group (family with teens) enjoyed it. Very well organized. Very comfortable. Highly professional. Locals told us it is the ethical option. Proceeds go to nonprofit.
I really loved this day, meeting and feeding the elephants. The driver and the guides were very nice and the trail enjoyable!

Had a pleasure of being a part of this tour ! Guide was great .pick up on time. Food are perfect Really enjoy this program with a long trail so nice and beautiful day
The greatest day of my trip to Thailand. From the booking and pick up to the delivery, everything was perfect. The driver, the guide and all the locals were very nice. They paid attention that we don't miss anything. The 2 hours with the elephants were simply of the best thing me and my wife have ever done. It was a so peaceful moment. Visiting Doi Inthanon with the guide was also a very appreciated moment, he tried his best to explain every details of the nature/monuments around us. All this while eating a great pad Thai and spending a very inexpensive day compared to what we have seen elsewhere. Moreover, because of the lack of tourist, it was a private day for my wife and me. Thank you for everything !
Such a good itinerary to visit the elephant sanctuary. The staff are wonderful and elephants are so happy and well looked after. The elephants had a hard time during the Covid time. Hope they can enjoy their better life with us.

After lunch, time for hiking at Kew Mea Pan at Doi Inthanon national park for 2 hours , King and Queen Pagoda so beautiful and majestic which is also the highest peek in Thailand, the scenery is absolutely awesome and incredible. All the staff are so lovely and so accommodating that really made this trip even better !! Honestly, I won’t regret this trip at all , I will definitely come back again :) 😍😆
