Great guide,Noom, who was fluent in English and spoke without an accent. He was also very knowledgeable about everything from flowers and trees, to temple history, and Buddhism. Very congienial and interested in learning about us too in conversation. Nice car for the drive. The private tour was great allowing us to go at our own pace. We arrived in the morning and had the gardens almost to ourselves. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour and guide.
Had a wonderful experience. Gobi was very informal about Thai Traditions, History and Culture. He was happy to answer any questions we had about Chiang Mai and Thailand. His English is very good and was easy to understand for us. Having a personal guide was great and would love to have another adventure with Gobi.
An amazing and comfortable experience well suited for a young family. With limited time in Chiang Mai, this tour gave us a taste of something unique to the city whilst being sensitive to the needs 2 children under 5. You are transported in comfort in a modern air-conditioned vehicle with a very attentive driver who offered water, cool towels and help with our pram. The tour itself has limited walking at the temple and garden with much of the garden seen by golf cart. The tour was made more enjoyable by our knowledgeable tour guide Gobi, who shared with us useful insights about Thailand, Buddhism and the Royal Family, whilst adopting the role of uncle to our kids during the day with cheerful jokes and caring gestures. We’d highly recommend this tour and AP Good Travel for the well organised, comfortable and insightful tour.
While the places are wonderful and guide was lovely, this tour is almost within or very close to Chiang Mai City and heavily overpriced for a short half day tour.
Royal Park Rajapruek is a beautiful park full with all kinds of flowers. A worth to visit. The Phra That Doi Kam Temple has nice beautiful temples with golden shinning tomb where visitors come to offer their prayers. Gobi our tour guide is knowlegeable in the back ground of every places that we went and a funny guy too who’d like to crack jokes which brought laughter during our journey. The driver, Mr Bu complement with Gobi that made our trip a well deserving 5🌟
The guide was very well organized, professional, and knowledgeable. The temple was very interesting and had fantastic views. The gardens were beautiful. We got caught in quite a downpour and our guide shepherded us to the orchid greenhouse, which was stunning. Once we emerged it was just a drizzle and we continued. The Royal Project Foundation store was also a nice interlude in the tour. We bought some black, oolong, and green tea.
Louis very good guide and very thoughtful. Very comfortable tour in car and well looked after. Frequently offering cooling towel and water. Louis was nice
It was lovely to leave the city for half a day. The temple was fascinating, and our guide, Kobi, was informative and considerate of all our needs. The gardens were serene, and the pavilion impressive. 😊
We took a tour with Guide Nui and he was amazing! So kind, attentive, polite & knowledgeable about the Buddhist culture & history of Chiang Mai. We enjoyed Nui’s company and very personal approach to his job. You can definitely tell he loves what he does and I would highly recommend him.
Both guide and driver (Cobi and Boo) were very friendly and knowledgeable so we learned a lot of history, culture and traditions particularly at the temple. Comfortable, tidy vehicle. A fabulous morning out! The temple on the hill is fabulous. The royal gardens shop is worth a look also to see the produce grown there.
Really good experience. Our host and driver were excellent Cobi and Boo. Very informative and fun too. One of the best I’ve done.
My sister and I had an amazing time on this trip. A private tour is really the way to go if you want to learn and see a lot! Request Gobe as your guide, and you will not be disappointed. He is the best!!! He knows the area well and was able to point out so many extra hidden gems along the way! We loved this trip. If we were staying longer, we would book all our future trips with Gobe and his agency!
This was a fantastic tour! Mr. Gobi and Mr. Boo were wonderful, very professional, helpful, and enthusiastic. We loved touring the gorgeous gardens at the Royal Park and seeing the beautiful Temple of the Golden Mountain.
Wat Doi Kham was quite nice, worth a visit. However, The Royal Park is absolutely stunning (if you like gardens and flowers). It is massive and there are some really impressive gardens. Could easily spend a whole day here. (Bring a backpack with food and have a picnic, there are many cool spots to chill). It vastly exceeded my expectations. However, our tour guide on this tour (I think her name was Tip) was not good. We were really interested in the flowers and the gardens and the whole visit it seemed like she just wanted to get it over with so she should could end the tour. She did not guide us towards anything interesting, in fact, I was the one who had to keep finding cool stuff and guiding us towards it. She was only interested in getting back on the tram so she could stop walking. Really bad. I wonder what the tour would have been like had I not kept seeing interesting spots in the distance and guiding us to them myself. Seemed like she was just going to shuffle us right past them. Regardless, I believe you could easily get to these places with a Grab or Taxi. Just do that. You don't need a tour guide.
Our guide was professional and enthusiastic. He and the driver picked us up in the old city in a nice, comfortable vehicle. They shifted the schedule a bit to dodge the rain. The royal gardens are probably more popular with Thai tourists than foreigners, but made for nice sightseeing and many photo ops. True, the temple is largely about "Buddusiness," but that's the reality here. It's still a spectacle, and the view is very nice.
It was a good visit especially with our guide, Mr. Noom and driver, Mr. Boo. We enjoyed it and had a great time with Noom explaining the history of the places and showing us what to do at the temple.
We had an incredible tour guide who spoke English very well. He was knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into Thai culture. He was a monk for 9 years before he had to leave to take care of an sickly parent. With his background he was able to help us really understand the traditions and rites that we were observing. This tour was just perfect for us.
Nan and Boo were incredible. Nan's knowledge of Buddhism and his enthusiasm for Thai history and culture were infectious! What an incredible experience and way to learn about Chiang Mai!
Very competent guide, knows a lot about fat different aspects. Listens to your interests and tailors his info accordingly.
Very good guide. Knows a lot, is not someone who rattles off his speech, he is listening to your interests and thus makes the trip very interesting. Very high recommendation.
- sufficient parking to accommodate Travelers - Picture-friendly views, different angles to take. - Very good surroundings in the morning, great views of the city. - You can go a little long and greet Father promptly.
