Hmong hill tribe is not really worth the visit really. So set up just for tourists and I could have just caught a grab up there. Temple was nice and tour guide was very nice and informative. I feel I could have just done this ourselves for a quarter of the price.

We really enjoyed the temple visit. There's an option to climb lots of steps (up and/or down) or take the cable car. The Hmong village - we were all sort of turned loose in the village ("be back here at X o'clock"). The two of us happened to stick close to our guide when we got to the village, and we got to meet some locals and get a lot more explanation from the guide about the village. Others on our tour missed out on that. There was a small museum about Hmong culture that was really quite good - especially with our guide there talking with us (again, the others missed out).
Our guide Poongkie was great fun to be with and was so knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about Chiang Mai and its history and the Thai culture. Yeng was a superb driver navigating the narrow winding roads safely. Thoroughly recommend this excursion.
Excellent guide (Louie) who spoke fluent english, chinese, and thai. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of the locations visited, and very comprehensive in his descriptions and stories. We Learned a lot about many subjects. Driver was very safe and aware of members in group prone to motion sickness so drove very smoothly.
The tour leader didn't contact my friend in advance as usually other tour operators did and I didn't know there were two names of 'Come On' in Chiang mai
Doi Suthep what a beautiful and amazing place with stunning views. I would say the only thing that takes a little off the shine is all the tat shops, the shop keepers are polite and unlike other Countries don’t hassle you, they’ll let you taste their produce with no pressure to buy. The visit to the Village gives you an insight in rural life in northern Thailand. Very basic but the people are so friendly they are always smiling. Definitely a must do,also what really helped was our guides English which was very good added to that was his sense of humour.
Pookie and our driver Ying were great. The village and temple are a must-see. Pookie is a great guide with a wealth of knowledge and humour. We highly recommend this tour. Thanks again to both of you
Our tour guide, Tui and our driver were both very friendly and helpful. Tui explained the history of the village and temple. We had a delicious coffee and smoothie at the village and the view was beautiful. Temple was beautiful and had amazing views of Chiang Mai. Great experience all around.
The entire trip was amazing from start to finish. The guide (Pau?) made it so special as he was extremely proud of the country’s history and wanted to share his knowledge. No question went unanswered. We were never rushed which made it an even greater pleasure to spend time seeing these amazing historic places.
This was an amazing experience, words aren’t enough to describe how good Ms Nut was with us, knowledgeable, patience, kind, etc, she made the trip 100 times better, I would highly recommend for first timers or even people who’ve been here before.
Guide was excellent, good English, good knowledge.Transportation comfortable Temple and life in Hmong community are must to visit sites.
Excellent morning’s tour. Good balance between the fascinating hill top tribal village visit and the temple of Doi Suthep. Time allowed for explanations of sites, coffee break, photo ops and some shopping (hill top village was especially excellent value) Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and good company. We opted for the private tour - well worth the extra for quality of vehicle and using time as you see fit
A wonderful morning into the mountains, great guide, enjoyed walking about the Hmong village and shooting darts, before a wonderful visit to the temple above Chiang Mai
We had a great morning looking around the mountain village, enjoying some delicious local coffee. The temple area was beautiful too. Best of all was our guide, who answered all our many questions about life in Thailand and Buddhism, and was very knowledgeable about the places we visited.
Our guide was lovely and very helpful. The hill trip and temple were amazing and well worth seeing. Would definitely recommend.
We had an awesome tour guide and had a private group with just my husband and I and it was perfect! It was early in the morning so the places we went weren’t busy, we had a great day.
We loved our early morning tour walking through a Hmong village, enjoying local coffee above the village watching the mist drift past the coffee and flower bushes. Touring the wat with our guide was insightful, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!
The places we visited were beautiful. The original village we went to was the big highlight, super authentic experience and the dried fruits / coffee in their village were incredible. The garden was beautiful, and our tour guide was very informative and educated. Only bad part was the drive there was super toss and turny, so if your not good with nausea you might have a tough time.
We loved the tour of Chiang Mai City and met the H’Mong people in the mountains, it was beautiful and we took many photos. Our guide G.Poongkie and driver D.Lithai were absolutely wonderful……..bottles of water were onboard the van and we were shown all facets of life of the H’Mong people. Poong even had a coffee with us……..a wonderful tour and great experience for us.Great memories.Thank you to Poong and Li,amazing guide and driver.
Bee was a fantastic guide, we had a really great time and learned a lot at the village and amazing Temple.
Totally met my expectation! The guide Lee (Touring Center) was very courteous, friendly and attentive to my needs. The pacing of the tour or schedule was perfect and relaxing. I was not rushed to go from one place to another but when needed the guide would remind me way ahead of time which made the whole tour very easy. The location of the attraction is close to each other. There are a lot of sites to see along the way so the trip was not boring. I loved the door to door service - pick up and drop off at my hotel!
Our guide and driver were absolutely amazing! Touring Center gets a 2 thumbs up from us! Our guide Aom, took great care of us, her suggestions and tips made this our favorite tour of our trip to Chiang Mai. I the driver was smooth & safe in the tight roads & heavy traffic. Top-notch!
Our guide, Ohm, was incredible and very knowledgeable! This trip was my favorite thing in Chiang Mai. Visiting the Mong Hill Village was beautiful! The people are kind and the view was lovely. We went to a little coffee shop and it was the best coffee I've ever tasted! The temple we visited was incredible as well. We walked up about 300 steps and it was exhausting, but wonderful! (There's a lift as well, if you don't want to walk) So organized and a must visit in Chiang Mai!
We loved our tour with Paul. He was great & informative - such a beautiful soul! The driver was also lovely. He catered the tour for us, as my Nan is elderly & can’t do a lot of walking up stairs etc. he made her feel comfortable. Thanks for sharing the thai culture with us.
Amazing tour guide, bubbly personality and full of interesting information! 110% recommendation, this was our best tour by far. Thank you Bee 🐝
Pookie, our tour guide, was one of the nicest people we met during our time in Thailand. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. We started with a visit to the Hmong village before it got too crowded and enjoyed some Hmong coffee at the mountaintop. Then we went over to the temples where she talked us through some of the history of Buddhism. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a good tour and I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Doi Suthep without stress.
It was amazing! Recommend this tour 100% . The tour guide was so lovely and super informative. They are very knowledgable and provide you with a lot of information. The little village is great to see and the temple too. Most importantly the guides is what makes the difference :)
Tour guide and driver were very good. Van was comfy and always had fresh water. We went to Hmong Village which was more shopping than cultural but great fresh coffee and bead bracelets made to order. Temple was excellent recommend taking lift up if bad knees or hips. Always a fantastic temple to visit.
We booked a group tour and ended up being the only two. Paul happily gave us an excellent, well paced tour, providing insightful commentary, thoroughly and enthusiastically answering all of our questions. The tour of the Hmong community on the way to Doi Suthep was a delightful surprise, and totally non-commercial. We loved the expansive and beautiful garden. Doi Suthep was an easy cable car ride up. The Wat was majestic and easy to view, not too big like many of the other more popular Wats in Thailand, and the view of Chang Mai from the mountain was a treat. Oh, by the way, it’s a bit cooler in the mountains. This was a lovely way to spend a half-day in Chang Mai.
The visit to the temple its great. Great views of the city. A lot of people. Very good attention from our guide
My partner and I spent a fantastic half day together with Ms. Pookie who as well as being an excellent guide is also a person with a golden heart. She led us through the streets of the Hmong village telling us about their traditions and their culture and then enchanted us with the stories of the Buddha at the Doi Suthep temple. If you are in Chiang Mai book this sightseeing tour and you won't regret it!
I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide “Long” was amazing, very knowledgeable and spoke great English. It was very unfortunate that I felt like the other 2 people on this tour were not interested at all, and run through the places very quickly, way ahead of us. Long did his best to balance things out, but I still felt rushed through… It made me sad, I would love to spend little more time at the places and listen to what he had to say because it was very interesting .:-(
Had lots of fun with Khun Bee! We started at the Hmong village, where we got to see every aspect about their life. We drank some local coffee and toured around the village market. We then went to Doi Suthep, where we had the opportunity to get blessed by a monk. Khun Bee explained everything about the Hmong village and Doi Suthep very carefully, and with alot of fun. She also took alot of photos of us! Overall, we recommend it!
My partner and I booked a small group tour for last Saturday. The tour exceeded our expectations. The driver Prayoot was skillful driving the mountain roads and Poongkie was a great tour guide. She told us many historical facts about Chiang Mai, the Hmong Village and the Doi Suthep temple. She has a very easygoing and pleasant personality which we liked very much, and her English is easy to understand. We enjoyed the village and seeing the local crafts that are made there as well as a visit to the coffee garden and shop up on the mountainside. The coffee is delicious!! The Doi Suthep temple and grounds that we visited afterwards are fabulous not only in its rich history but beauty. We appreciated Poongkie's explanations of the various shrines and insights into Buddhist beliefs. Both the village and the temple are worth visiting and not to be missed if you are visiting Chiang Mai. We also appreciated the cold refreshing water bottles provided for us in the van. I highly recommend this tour and especially Prayoot as the driver with Poongkie as the tour guide.
We loved our morning with Bee. She is knowledgeable about the history of Chiang Mai and was telling us the story as we were leaving the old city. We spent time with the Hmong village locals and bought quite a bit of their hand made goods. But stay away from the fake silver, it’s not 92.5% it’s not silver at all. The Wat Doi Suthep is not too be missed. Don’t be shy about taking a blessing from the monk, ours spoke a little English has was happy to bless our family and trip to Thailand. I would make plans with Bee for anything in Chiang Mai again.
Fantastic half day tour! As they say, getting there is half the fun, and the ride up and down the mountain did not disappoint. Doi Sutthep temple was gorgeous and our guide Ms. Bee was extremely knowledgeable about the temple and Buddhism in general. The visit to the Hmong village was especially interesting to us as we live in a US city with a large Hmong population and have had a close relationship with the Hmong community for a long time. Seeing this village in person really hit home and was as beautiful as it was enlightening. Perfectly paced and very comfortable, highly recommended!
Really really good guide of Poongkie... thanks!!!! Middle day with children really mice. We visit the Village and then the Temple
Poonkie and Arnan were wonderful local companions on a magical trip to both the temple and village. Poonkie’s energy was infectious and she shared her knowledge of local customs and traditions with us, including partaking in a blessing from a resident monk. Their pleasant company and local insight made our tour a highlight of our visit to the region.
Great tour with an amazing tour guide. Arrow is the best, and our kids (18y, 15y, 11y) enjoyed every second of the tour. I recommend him to everyone.
Amazing experience, very kind tour guide with amazing english we had a very interesting and complete experience. Very recommended.
Wonderful day! Our guide was lovely and very informative. We really loved the village and was good to get there early on this tour to avoid the crowds. The coffee shop and the flowers were the highlights for us. Can thoroughly recommend.
We had a great time with Bee the tour guide. She was awesome. I think is a must see place and dont forget to buy the coffee on Doi Suthep bc it's taste real good.
Our guide “Bee” was really great; she shared so much information and included fun facts. The timing of the tour was perfect- did not feel rushed or bored.
We had a great time and our tour guide is Bee. She is awesome and friendly. We definitely recommend this tour. My children love the Hmong village and the golden temple.
Our lady tour guide was super nice and very patient. We had a very pleasant trip. Lucky, it was a clear day.
The Hmong Village was nothing more than walking us through a tourist trap full of shops you find in any market in the city. Nothing about the village and the history of the people. We were rushed through the temple with little education.
Our guide, Bee, was knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor. In addition to telling us about the temple and the Hmong village, she also shared some history on Chaing Mai. The tour lasted 3 hours including 1.5hrs of driving time, which was a good balance of thoroughness and efficiency!
Our tour guide M was incredible, teaching us so much about Buddhism, the temples and the local tribes. His English was fantastic and he made sure we enjoyed every minute of the tour. Highly recommend going with these guys - affordable and great to do for just a morning or afternoon. We actually did it the morning we were leaving Chiang Mai, just before our afternoon flight.
What an amazing tour. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We learnt so much about the culture. Our tour guide M was absolutely amazing, so knowledgeable and super friendly. Highly recommend this tour.
We had an amazing morning with M our tour guide. Picked up promptly at our hotel and taken directly to the Hmong village. M was super knowledgable and spoke fantastic English. After we went to Doi Suthep Temple and was provided with cold water and an extensive insight into the temple and the background of it. Finally we were taken to the viewpoint where you can see the whole of Chiang Mai which was beautiful. If you have the time I would highly recommend this tour!
