Full-day Guided Tuk Tuk Chiang Mai Adventure And Rafting

Easily one of the best tours I have ever done - book it, as it is worth every cent and you will not be disappointed. We were guided by Bigg, who was fantastic. We all felt safe and confident in driving the Tuk Tuk before taking off. It was so nice to have the finer details considered - an esky with ice, drink bottle, towels etc. Everything we needed was thought of. The elephant experience was one of a kind, and completely ethical. We were thankful not be pressured into buying things from different places as some tours do. Lunch was yummy and the bamboo rafting was so scenic, spotting elephants along the way, it felt like a dream. If there was any, we would’ve been stoked to buy a Tuk Tuk Club shirt.

It was such a fun adventure with Boys & Katie - I loved it (Not sure if that’s the correct way to spell our tour guide though). From getting trained/driving my own tuk tuk to getting to meet the cutest elephants to bamboo rafting, I had so much fun! Since I am the solo traveler, I really appreciated the pictures and videos Boys took for me and our tour group of the fun moments I had with the elephants! Boys also lent me his slippers and that truly saved my feet! I wore a short light-weight waterproof boots but during our walk with the elephants, we had to walk through the rivers that my boots were not long enough for. Slippers were fine for me but I would highly recommend you to wear a long waterproof boots or water sports shoes or sandals with straps to walk comfortably!

We booked the one-day Tuk Tuk tour after seeing it mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide to Thailand. In hindsight, the guidebook completely undersold what turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Neither of us had ever driven, or even ridden in, a tuk tuk before, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were collected from our hotel by bus and taken to a private training centre, where we were given clear, patient instruction until we felt completely confident driving our own tuk tuk. From there, we headed into the beautiful hills around Mae Wang, visiting a Buddhist temple where we learned about the new buildings under construction and saw the caves where monks used to live. It was a fascinating insight into the local culture and history. The next stop was an elephant sanctuary, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch before feeding the elephants and walking some of them down to the river for their bath. Spending time with these magnificent animals in such a peaceful setting was a truly phenomenal experience and one we’ll remember for a long time. To round off the day, we took a wonderfully relaxing bamboo raft trip along the Mae Wang River before returning to the sanctuary to collect our tuk tuk and drive it back. Our guide was outstanding throughout the day. The driving instruction was excellent, they were incredibly knowledgeable about every place we visited, and, above all, the hospitality was exceptional. We felt looked after from start to finish. The whole day offered fantastic value for money, combining adventure, culture, wildlife and stunning scenery into one unforgettable experience. We’ve come away with some truly special memories, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Tuk Tuk Club to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable day out, this is it.

Wow!! This was a fantastic 5 day adventure loved by our 16yrs old, 21yr old plus us 50+ . Everything from booking to end was perfectly arranged. The guides were sensational! And even though we were chauffeur driven we still.got to drive on day 1. All the stops along the way, food and accommodation was brilliant. My only negative was that I didn't book the 11 days, I didn't want the adventure to end 😪

I came along with my wife after a recommendation from a friend and was immediately impressed. Our tour guides Nahm, Bigg & Ou were brilliant . All were conscientious, safety minded & great fun. They had a genuine concern for our wellbeing & ran everything with happy efficiency & were always available if required. Every element has been thought through & is delivered efficiently and with care. The Tuk Tuk club excels on many levels. It is well run, trains you safely to drive and opens a door to a slice of Thailand you can’t get anywhere else. We learned a lot about Thai culture, religion & way of life and visited some special places well off the beaten tourist track. The Thai people made us welcome & showed a generosity of spirit. We had some experiences & memories that will last a lifetime. We stayed in accommodation which ranged from the best available local-style in a local village right through to a top-end super comfortable resort hotel with infinity pool. All accommodation was always clean & well presented. The food was varied & plenty of it, & the beers at the end of a day in our special vehicle were always cold. I could go on & on. I did the 11 day tour . Awesome adventure. All the staff were very professional. Good food and great accommodation . One of the best times had by all the group .the guides were all 10/10 .

Our Tuk Tuk tour was absolutely magical. We went with 4 young adult/teenagers and it was the highlight of our trip. Learning to drive the TukTuks was a blast. Our guide Boyz was fantastic. The elephant experience was really everything we could have asked for. Loved every minute even though it rained! The raft trip was peaceful, fun and exhilarating. Would highly recommend. This trip to anyone.

We had such an amazing experience on our Tuk Tuk tour today!! Once we learned how to drive the Tuk Tuk, we started our journey seeing the rural plains of Chang Mai. We went to various temples and lookout points. The sights were absolutely beautiful and we learned so much about the history! We then stopped for a great lunch in the most peaceful area. Our guide was so fun to talk to and he felt like a lifelong friend which made this experience even better. We ended the day by floating down the river on a bamboo raft and we even got to see some elephants who were cooling themselves off as we went assed by - how cool! Overall this was such a unique experience and I would truly recommend it to anyone. 10/10

Amazing day in the tuk tuk. We had a wonderful time seeing so many sights and enjoying the mountain air. Such a great driver with Boyz. He made us laugh a lot and made sure we saw as much as possible in our single day adventure. Lunch by a waterfall was a perfect location. He took tons of pictures for us and carried most of our items. They are well prepared and provide rain items, bug spray, water bottles and just about anything you might need. Lunch was authentic and delicious. The rafting was fun even in the rain and we just happened to get a close up view of some elephants in the river getting a bath. Would highly recommend and might suggest one of the longer trips to see even more of this beautiful country.

Once in a lifetime experience! Big was a great teacher and came prepared with everything we needed for the trip. Driving to and from the areas was a breeze and the elephants were amazing to experience.

This was probably the single greatest guided tourist activity I've ever done. We did the one-day self-drive adventure and had the time of our lives from the moment they picked us up at our hotel in Chiang Mai until they dropped us off that night. Huge shout-out to our guide Nam, was such a lovely presence, such a warm soul, and a terrific leader for our whole expedition. And every part of the day was so fun - driving the Tuk Tuks is a total blast if you have any enthusiasm for piloting vehicles or cruising around lush, gorgeous countryside. The setting was unbelievably serene and beautiful and totally a comfortable space to be behind the wheel of a relatively new vehicle (after our thorough but efficient training). Then arriving to the elephant sanctuary was incredible, such amazing creatures of tremendous gentleness and delicacy in spite of their heft and power. We felt totally intimate with them (though assured of their comfy life and good care), and the river walk in their company was breathtaking. Finally our little bamboo raft trip was another unique look plunged right in the center of this beautiful landscape (though we did get wet, so a full change of clothes is recommended). So many amazing experiences, for honestly an incredible value, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Northern Thailand and I'd love to return for a longer trip someday. Absolute highlight of our holiday. Nam was an incredible guide. We had the best day, prompt pick up from our hotel, comfy transfer to our tuk-tuk and time to learn how to drive. The driving experience was amazing, zooming through Northern Thailand taking it in turns to drive or watch the scenery. The elephant stop was just amazing. The love and care given to them was so evident and the animals clearly loved the staff. We haven't stopped talking about the whole day. If you're thinking about it ... Just book it! I’m not normally given to superlatives but this was probably one of the best tour experiences we have had. Our guide, Big, was fantastic - patiently teaching us the technique of Tuk Tuk driving, guiding us through the picturesque villages, rice fields and countryside, stopping at roadside stalls to sample tasty local snacks, showing us a village temple and finishing the day on a serene 3km journey down river on a bamboo raft. For us the highlight was the elephant experience. It was important to me to know that the elephants were living their best life, and they were. Big and the mahmouts clearly had a special bond with them and we were able to walk with the elephants down to the river, in a very natural environment, to watch them graze, play and bathe.

If you're looking for an unforgettable, unique adventure, the Tuk Tuk Club is it! I've just returned from an 11-day tuk tuk tour of Northern Thailand, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. Not only did I learn to drive a tuk tuk (a milestone I never anticipated achieving!), but every moment of this trip was packed with wonder, excitement, and thoughtful care. The itinerary was a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation. We walked with elephants, washed them, rode a bamboo raft downstream, soaked in outdoor hot mineral springs, explored caves by raft, and watched the sunset behind the Myanmar mountains. Staying in a beautiful eco-resort and atop a mountain in Pai added a touch of magic. Not to mention excellent food and fine mountain coffee at every stop. And to top it off, navigating the approx 3,000 mountainous bends of Northern Thailand on three wheels provided us with ... some mindful focus Just do it - you won't regret it.

We did the 5 day tour. Driving the tuk tuk was seriously a lot of fun. Being in a convoy with others from around the world, exploring the small Thai villages, drifting on bamboo rafts, hiking along serene trails and eating incredibly tasty traditional food was amazing. BUT the highlight was walking with such well cared for, calm, beautiful elephants 🐘, along a creek and watching them enjoy a swim at the end. The program was very well planned. Our guides, Big and 'Ooor' were patient, supportive and always attentive to ensure we were comfortable at all times. Wishing our 5 days was not over!

This is a must do trip when visiting chiang mai. Our guide Yuth was so professional and informative that he helped enhance our experience. Learning to drive the Tuk Tuks was such fun and then to experience driving them through the countryside was amazing. We picked up a really nice packed lunch before heading to our next stop. The highlight of the day was when we arrived at the Mae Wang elephant camp. While having a lovely lunch we could observe and watch the elephants - To see, walk with and feed these beautiful animals was such an unforgettable experience. We finished off our incredible day with some bamboo river rafting which was so lovely. Points to note if taking this tour You will need to bring your driving licence to drive Tuk tuks and bring a change of clothes to change into after the days activities 👍

Where to start! Everything about this 1-day adventure was perfect. Our guide Boyz was awesome. Loved our tuk tuk driving lessons (so fun) then off we went to small cave temple and then Elephant Sanctuary. We were treated to a yummy lunch while watching beautiful elephants. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding them and walking with them to the river for a bath. It was magical. Our day ended floating down a small river on a bamboo raft, the scenery was gorgeous. Boyz too great care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and company. We highly recommend this day trip, in was the highlight of our trip to Thailand.

I’ve been to Chiang Mai many times. This has to be the best tour I’ve been on. Driving the tuk tuk was so much fun. The elephants were amazing, and the bamboo rafting was fun. I have wanted to take this tour for years, but it’s always sold out. Usually because of the 3, 5 and 11 day tours. We were the only 2 there, so we essentially had a private tour. If you have the chance, highly recommend!!

Absolutely wonderful day. Self drive tuk tuk tour (after a thorough driving lesson). Arrived at the elephant sanctuary and after being fed we got to hand feed the beautiful elephants, who are clearly well cared for and who quite frankly could easily leave if they wanted to! Walked with these wonderful creatures and then got to bath them in the river. Once that was done, their carers walked them home and we were transported to the rafting station and were taken down the river on a bamboo raft. Back to the elephant sanctuary to get changed and then tuk tuk back to the pick up point. Would absolutely recommend this activity to anyone visiting chiang mai. In fact would visit chiang mai just for this experience.

We’ve been in Thailand for 1 week so far and this was, by far, the best day yet. Our lead guide was Big and his partner was Ou. We rode in Tuk Turk’s all day which is an amazing experience. We had a guided tour of a gorgeous temple with incredible views from what seemed like above the clouds. We walked through the rainforest to see a beautiful waterfall and then ate lunch at that spot. The highlight was rafting down the river on a bamboo raft. Drifting past gorgeous scenery as well as elephants along the way. Big was incredible knowledgeable, highly engaged and was the perfect guide. THIS IS A CANT MISS DAY ON YOUR TRIP TO THAILAND!!

Our day with the Tuk Tuk Club was amazing! From the moment our guide, Bigg greeted us and throughout the day we were looked after and had a fantastic experience. Tom's customer service in advance was helpful and responsive - answering our questions quickly and tailoring the experience for us. It was the best day of our holiday for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) - an adventure filled day with every detail considered. I would recommend this experience to everyone :-)

Amazing adventure for our family. My youngest son asked if we could do it again the next day because he had so much fun. Too many fun parts to pick a favorite! Very friendly and informative tour guide! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing day in Chiang Mai during our honeymoon with this company! OA was our private guide - he was fun, experienced, and helpful! My husband took a driving lesson with OA before starting our drive around the countryside - OA made sure we were safe and ready before starting our adventure! From our drive in the tuk tuk, we were able to see beautiful scenery including farming and nature, and a temple which we stopped at. We got great photos! We then stopped at an elephant sanctuary to take care of elephants for the day. At the end of the day, we did bamboo rafting. The company provided us with a delicious packed lunch, gave us reusable water bottles and had filtered water available to us. We would definitively recommend this day excursion to anyone!

We did the 3 day, 2 night trip and it was amazing! Our guide Yaya was very knowledgeable and supportive. She shared her in dept knowledge about the area, the people, Buddhism. She was also able to share info about other areas in Thailand. The views were spectacular, food amazing and all our needs were catered for. The other people at restaurants and accommodation were all so nice. Mono who worked at the area where we camped was also lovely. We loved that they took us to markets and areas to support the local people and where items grown/made in the area. We also loved that they had a keen drive for conservation, the environment and animal welfare. Would 100% recommend to others. We would love to come back and do a longer trip.

What a fantastic day and way to see the countryside outside of Chiang Mai. Our guide Nam was really attentive, informative and good fun. Felt very safe, Nam ensured we were all comfortable with the driving before setting off. Water was provided in a keepsake reusable water bottle and lunch at the elephant sanctuary was good. Would highly recommend this trip.

Nam made the experience come to life! She was so knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. She has the greatest personality and worked well with everyone she came into contact with. Very caring and made sure we had a fun time and took tons of pictures for us. Thank you Nam!

If possible, I would give 6 (or more) stars! The organisation was perfect. The guides really had thought of everything. From mosquito spray to a towel and plastic bag for the wet swimming costume. They were very friendly and helpful. We received a very detailed explanation and all our questions were answered with expertise. The rafting was also a unique experience. Top experience and highly recommended!

Would definitely recommend the Tuk Tuk Club and our wonderful guide Yuth for anyone looking to explore the surrounding areas of Chiang Mai. The trip was super well planned, our guide was very knowledgeable of the environment and attentive to our needs. Also great trip for kids - our 6 yr old had so much fun! Will be back.

Yaya was a great guide. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on this trip. She gave us some expert training on the Tuk Tuk and then took us on an amazing tour into the mountains. The elephant sancury was the highlight. Feeding and bathing with them is something we will never forget. The bamboo rafting after was a perfect end to the trip. Bruce and his team have done a gread job here.

You must experience this tour! From the time of picking us up, getting a quick coffee and breakfast, to the training, to lunch, to the elephants, to the rafting each added layer that made the experience more and more amazing. The guide, Yuth was so informative and was lots of fun! We had hands on training before we got on the road in the Tuk Tuks. Once we headed out we found the views to be fabulous. We especially loved the elephant sanctuary. They were so friendly and fun to be around- they each had their own personalities. We fed them, walked with them to the river and played in the water with them. Yuth assisted helping us in an out of the water and on the hike. I felt like both our guide and the guide from another group assisted a customer that need some extra assistance - they went above and beyond and really enjoy their work. Rafting was peaceful and refreshing. This company and the family of guides create a trip of a lifetime.

Wow! What a day! We had an absolutely brilliant day with Yaya and the team! Yaya was a brilliant guide, so funny and knowledgeable! She quickly taught us the ropes of how to drive our tuk tuk and we had a blast doing it! The hidden temple we saw was amazing with a stunning view! Then seeing the elephants and the rafting were superb as well! A brilliantly planned day and probably the best thing we have done in Thailand! Thank you Yaya!

What a great day with the whole family. A perfect way to drive around in a Tuk Tuk and see all the beauty Chiang Mai offers. Our guide Bigg couldn't be left out. His knowledge and optimism just made the day.

What an amazing day. I had so much fun driving the tuk tuk, playing with the elephants and rafting on a bamboo raft. The guides were engaging and funny. They set up a small obstacle course to make sure we were comfortable on the tuk tuk before we got on the road. I loved the little attention to details. They provided us with a water bottle and had a refilling station. Being so hot in Thailand, this was a huge win for me. Also they had coolers with ice that kept your water cold while driving or feeding the elephants. That deserves a 10/10 in my book. Overall, a very well organized day that has so far been one of the top highlights on my trip to Thailand.

We had a fabulous time on the one day tour. I don’t know how it could be made better! Bigg and Yuth were amazing, kind , curtious, patient and knowledgeable . From pick up to drop off we had a ball our faces ached from smiling and our bellies ached from laughing . Tuk Tuk driving lessons were fun and riding in them was a thrill. The lunch was fresh and tasted great. It was wonderful to sit and watch the elephants while we ate. The love, care and attention the elephants receive was so lovely to see. They were able to walk and graze as they wanted and were so eager to start their daily walk to the river. Bigg and Yuth were able to tell us their history and all about their personalities. It was plain to see the lovely relationship they had with them. The river rafting was well organised and safe. We were helped onto the rafts and our guides were waiting to help us at the end . There was a constant supply of much needed water too. All in all a fabulous day trip with our family and friends creating many fabulous memories. We are already talking about our next visit and would highly recommend a trip with theTuk Tuk Club.

We had the best day ever!! After a little practic we took off with our tuk tuk. We visited a nice temple and a cave in the forest. The next stop, the highlight of the tour for us: feeding the elephants and walking with them to the river where we bath them. Rubbing the elephants and splashing them with water. An experience never to forget. I think we spend two hours or so at, and near, the farm. The elephant keepers really love their animals and take good care of them. The last activity was also very nice: rafting on bamboo rafts. Many thanks to our great guides Big and Yuth!!!

This was an unforgettable experience! It was the highlight of our Thailand trip. Our guide, OA, was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable. Be prepared to get wet and up close and personal with the elephants- it was an experience we will always remember. Highly recommend this experience!

Great day had on the Tuk Tuks. Rafting, and passing elephants in the river, was a particular highlight......and just being out in the lush hills of Northern Thailand! All 3 guides were super helpful and very respectful of everyone in the group. One thing to note - if you take the water bottles back as a souvenir, don't put them in the dishwasher.....they melted on the first wash :) Teach me to be lazy.

If you're on the fence about booking this, just do it! You'll be so glad you did. It was so much fun! Can't recommend highly enough! Without a doubt, I'll do this again. And next time I plan to book one of their multi-day trips which book up quickly so plan ahead!

What a great day! We just did the one day tour but wish we could have done more. Was a thrill to drive the tuk tuks then seeing the elephants, rafting, bats/ cave and great guides as well just topped it off.

All in all good day, Tuk Tuk was a little temperamental, and a very stiff throttle, but thank you for your hospitality, and a great lunch

The best trip we could have done! We loved every minute of it. Bigg was our guide and he was so informative and welcoming. We got to see Thailand in a way neither of us expected in just 1 day. The waterfall visit was beautiful and meeting the elephants, walking with them and watching them bathe is a memory I’ll never forget. We loved seeing the beautiful temple, the countryside and enjoying the bamboo rafting. Thank you for the best experience!

Our time with Tuk Tuk Club was the highlight of our Thailand adventure. Everything was personal, and Bigg was absolutely the best guide!!! I recommend them to anyway and should we visit Thailand again, we will 100% book with them again.

This was a really fun day driving through remote areas that I would not have seen otherwise. They give you instruction and you practice driving your TukTuk before you head out on the road. You get to feed and bathe the elephants in the river and just spend time with them. They all seem to have their own personalities. I saw temples and went in a cave that a monk once lived in and ended the day on a bamboo raft ride down the river. There were several water buffalo in the river that we passed by and elephants along the banks. I ended up being the only one on the tour that day so I got personalized attention. I am terrible remembering names but my guides were amazing and took sooo many photos and videos of me and sent them to me. I really wish I remembered their names because they were great. I highly recommend this adventure.

Yuth and OA were our guides. They were fantastic, funny, and very attentive to our needs. We loved every minute of our tour. They gave us so much information about the culture. The food was great. The elephants where well cared for and very interactive with us during the feeding time and bathing time. The river rafting was amazing and we saw more elephants while rafting. Both guides took lots of photos and amazing videos for us so we could enjoy the moment. We have family in Thailand and they are considering taking the 5 day tour next and would definitely request Yuth and OA as their guides again. We highly recommend this tour and our favorite guides.

Great day packed with activities. The Tuk Tuk school was a great way to prepare us for driving them through the days journey. The visit to the elephants and lunch was a great experience that continued to the river for the bathing of the elephants and having some fun. The Thai bamboo rafting was nothing like I experienced before. We felt like locals on the river! The guides Youth and Milk treated us like family!
