Doi Suthep Temple ,Wat Phalad ,Bauthong Waterfalls Private Tour

Doi Suthep Temple is definitely a must-see and was the highlight of the tour for me. The Sticky Waterfalls were interesting to visit and can be a lot of fun for families with young children, although they were less exciting for adults. I was also expecting a bit more from the orchid and butterfly farm. A special mention goes to Tong, who was both our guide and driver. He was always attentive to our comfort and safety, and his friendly personality made the day much more enjoyable. I would give Tong 5 stars without hesitation. The tour itself, however, was more of a 3-star experience for me, so I feel an overall rating of 4 stars is fair.

We had a fantastic half day trip with Mr Tong, very informative and so kind. He is also great company and a very safe driver. It’s a fun half day out and we booked as a private 2 person tour. Thank you Mr T.

Mr. Tong and Mr. Kit were great, Very friendly and professional. They were patient with us when we needed to stop and stretch or use the facilities. Mr. Tong was knowledgeable with the historical and interesting facts of the waterfall and temple. This tour couldn’t have been better. And the coffee was delicious. Would absolutely recommend.

I was hurt just before this tour but Mr Tong went out of his way to ensure I saw the waterfall. He was kind and took us to the hospital after the tour and ensured we received the best care and made it home safely. Thank you so much for your kindness, it will always be remembered!

The sticky waterfalls are a unique experience. Working up the waterfall is a fun half hour or so, once you do it once you will want to do it again. Mr. Tong was able to show us the easiest and safest way up the waterfall. Mr.Tong should be considered a national treasure. The man does a great job of elaborating on points of interest and makes sure to get you the pictures you would want of everything you can ask for. The energy he brings is infectious and will make any tour you choose that much better. Mr. Kit is a skilled and friendly driver. You won’t be waiting behind a slow truck all day, but he drives safe and calm enough you can catch a solid nap on the way to your next location.

Excellent service provided by Mr. Tong for my group of 10. He was very attentive to each member of the group and was very knowledgable and on time every time. Highly recommend.

Temple was great but sticky waterfall could not recommend it more if travelling with children. we all enjoyed the excellence of guide M and driver Aed. If travelling with children in Chiang Mai, this tour is a must.

Great day out. Initially thought it would be too long of a day for our 9 year old daughter, but our guide for the Tong made it super easy and very interactive. Tong is super helpful and very knowledgeable. Great mix of places visited. Our daughter especially loved climbing the waterfall (twice).

Tong and Pong Tong was a wonderful tour guide who treated us like family and made our adventure a time to remember and cherish. His sense of humor and local knowledge made our day with him something special. He was our “body guard”😁, photographer, local food expert, and interpreter. It was so nice to engage in conversations with him and share stories of each other’s experiences. I truly enjoyed learning more about Thai customs and history. He takes great pride in his work and was very attentive to our needs. HIGHLY recommend him for anyone who wants to have a special time while in Chiang Mai. Pong was a very safe and capable driver. We never felt worried with him behind the wheel……even in the mad rush of traffic. He always had a smile on his face!!!!!

This day trip was fantastic! Having a driver and a guide for the temples made the experience so much more enriching. Doi suthep and the sticky waterfall were incredible and our guide Tong was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch and ordered a variety of dishes for us that were the best food we have had here yet.

Mr. Tong did a great job showing us some of the best attractions of Chiang Mai. From showing us Doi Suthep to taking us to Sticky Falls, the entire day was a lot of fun. And having a great guide to show us around made all of the sights more enjoyable.

What a fantastic day! Our guide, Mr. Tong, was the best! He greeted us in the morning with traditional snacks from his village, then drove us to the temple, where he gave us a very informative tour (his English is excellent). We also visited an orchid and butterfly farm and the long-neck Karen village. For lunch Mr. Tong took us to a local restaurant for authentic Chiang Mai specialties, which were delicious. We ended the day at the sticky waterfall, which was so much fun. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Mr. Tong to be your guide!

Best time ever!!! So this part of my solo trip and tour wasn’t even part of it. I was just sharing with Mr. M my travels and he suggested the sticky waterfalls and just like that, it became part of my itinerary. Mr. M helped me tweak my itinerary to make the most of my time in Chiang Mai and I couldn’t be any more delighted to experience the best in my travels. The drive was a bit long but I Had Mr. M to keep me company. We talked about travels, food, culture, our plan for the day and the couple of days that I’m in Chiang Mai. I listened to his recommendations and insights on the places we will visit. It feels great to have Mr. M with me and as a solo traveler, there’s only so much selfie and nature pics I can take. He helped take pictures and even let me go on my own adventure in the temple and as well as the waterfalls. I felt the adventure baby in me awakened. Loved every second of this adventure!

Mr Yut was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I had the perfect day exploring Chiang Mai. I learned a lot about the history of the places we went to and about Buddhism. I felt very taken care of and it was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in learning and exploring Chiang Mai!

First off, M was an awesome guide! He made the day fun, relaxing, and full of great experiences. He was full of local knowledge. M's car was also very comfortable, and he provided plenty of cold water, and even gave us moist towelettes after our waterfall excursion! Suthep temple was very beautiful, and the cable car up the hill was fortunately included in our tour price. The history of the place was amazing. Unfortunately there were some forest fires in neighboring countries that made the view just smoke, but I'm sure the view is amazing if you get a clear day. For lunch, M took us to a local spot that felt like we walked into a rainforest! I highly recommend this place, although I don't know how to type the name! The mango sticky rice was especially delicious. Speaking of sticky, the sticky waterfalls were so fun! The water felt clean and the limestone structures of the waterfall were surprisingly not slippery. Felt good to cool off on a very hot day. Overall, very happy with this tour. I highly recommend M as a tour guide if you'd like to request him :)

We had such a wonderful adventure. The temple was amazing and our guide Yut was able to explain so much about the history and meaning of many symbols. The waterfall finished the day on a high note with Yut climbing the waterfall and taking our pictures.

What an incredible experience! Our guide (Jackie) and driver (Nino) arrived at our hotel on time and got our day started before everything got really busy in the city. Nino navigated the streets like a pro! Jackie was the perfect guide. She knew so much and was very attentive to our experience, showing us everything we should see and helping to take pictures along the way. We started our day at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep - stunning temple and views of the city and mountains! From there we went to the Long Neck Karen Village - Jackie was very knowledgeable and had a great rapport with the people of the village. Then we went to the orchid and butterfly farm at Bai Orchid - this was so cool; we had a tasty, extravagant lunch there, one of our best meals in Chiang Mai. Lastly, we drove out to the Buatong (or “Sticky”) Waterfalls - talk about an experience! I was worried about climbing the falls, and although still physically taxing, the waterfalls were actually quite easy to grip and maneuver. After the waterfalls, we returned to our hotel. OVERALL, what an AMAZING experience. We would definitely book a tour with Jackie again! She was awesome. Even beyond the tour, she stayed in touch in case we needed any recommendations. My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Tong who was our tour operator. Both the Suthep temple and Sticky waterfalls were an amazing experience. There was also a lunch at a local offbeat Thai restaurant and the food was amazing! It was authentic Thai food. Tong gave us plenty of time to look around and he made sure we were always safe and taken care of.
