Fern was our guide and Maxi was our driver. They showed our small group a superior time. Fern was very helpful and organized. We learned a lot about each temple and the history of their evolution. She always offered to take photos for every individual or couple in the group. At the end she also gave us the option of being dropped back at our hotel or a bustling street food market, as many of us were hungry. Even that was a notable part of the experience. Thanks, Fern and Maxi.

Itinerary
After Pick up, we will visit Wat Umong. This temple set in the forest is completely different from other typical temples, this one is built inside a tunnel. Enter the tunnels of Wat Umong and see the impressive Buddha images. It doesn’t matter what religion you have. When you go inside the tunnel, it whispers to you the secrets of this world and the old history of this temple built in 1297.
Re-board the minivan and drive rolling hills surrounding Chiang Mai to experience the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Then Climb a staircase of 306 steps leading to Doi Suthep temple. This staircase leading to the site is adorned with the impressive body of the mythical dragon-headed serpent, or Naga, snaking its way down 306 steps. This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet. Reaching the top, admire the Lanna-style golden pagoda covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas, and a fantastic Night city view from the mountain.

Great time!! Our guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable.
Well worth doing even in the rain - very impressive. Guide had good knowledge!
I was very disappointed in the organization of the trip. The tour itself was lovely but the communication lacked greatly. They picked up everyone else for the tour at their hotels like advertised except for my friend and I. Apparently we we weren't picked up because we were not on the side of town everyone else was mind you they never communicated this. If I hadn't phoned them we would've missed the tour because we were waiting in the lobby as advertised. The tour guide was great. The temple beautiful but I would not book another activity with them. They also dropped us off at a drop off and everyone else at their hotels no consideration whatsoever.
Just a cathartic evening of spirituality. Rising above Chiang Mai to witness the majestic grounds of this temple was amazing.
Nice small group and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Both sites also have lots of history and worth seeing up close. Would have been nice to watch the sunset from the viewing platform at the top of the steps but that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting both sites. We chose the evening tour and were not disappointed. The air-conditioned van ride, both Pick Up and Drop Off to and from hotel, was safe and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and friendly. He was mindful of the range of ages and needs in his group, and provided support when needed. He took the time to highlight interesting historical references, meanings, and insights we would otherwise have missed. Doi Suthep was especially stunning, a feast for the eyes that left us speechless and in awe. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience
Would happily book again! Amazing caring tour guide, safe driver and good communication through out. Seeing the temple at night is a real different experience
Very interesting tour with a good guide. Especially we appreciated a lot a visit of Wat Doi Suthep, it is a special place with a magic atmosphere in the evening. The tour is surely advisable.
Such a nice guide Cool spots Being in the cave at night gives character Great photos taken Good time of visit Recommended
The visit was well organized. The Doi Suthep is very beautiful. Great visit with a very nice point of view. The guide was ok but we were expecting more from him.
Night enhanced the experience and the guide was very helpful informative and knowledgeable The whole trip was well worth doing and excellent value for money
Great to be able to see a cave temple and the views of Chiang Mai from the temple on the mountain. Nice to have something to do at night. Very little crowds.
Great tour despite the rain. Doi Suthep and Wat Umong were beautiful and full of history. Our guide, Goy, was fun, informative and highly interactive. Would totally do it again.
It was a nice tour. Nice view. Nice story about the three elephants she told a lot. I am happy to have seen this tour. Thank you.
Tour guide was really nice in taking pictures and in explaining the history on places we went to. They dropped us also near the night market after the tour and tour guide gave recommendations for the must try in chiang mai.
Beautiful temples. Busy traffic meant a lot of time in the car, but that can't be helped. Seeing the temple at night was a terrific experience!
It was informational and the places were interesting. There were enough to go around freely. It was an average tour but worthwhile.
We booked a joint tour. . a driver and a guide arrived in a van and clean. The driver drove calmly, the guide was cute and charming, beautifully explained with patience and courtesy.
Competent guide, highly interesting wat, perfect evening! Highly recommended if you are interested in the culture of Thailand!
It is worth this night visit. In addition to seeing it illuminated, heat and crowds of tourists are avoided. The girl who made us the guide very good, gave us very interesting information. Then he gave us a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner and even took us there. Top!
Great experience. Our guide took the time to explain what Buddhism entails. He explained the story of the Buddha through the fresco that goes around the temple. It was really great. And the Doi Suthep at night plus the view of Chiang Mai is absolutely to do
