Doi Suthep And Wat Pha Lat Sunrise Private Tour – Half Day

Great tour visiting three temples on Doi Suthep. Our guide, Boon, shared very interesting facts about the temples and their histories. He also had the inside scoop on great photo ops. A few things I wished I’d known: it was cool in the morning then warmed up a lot; you visit three temples, not just two; entrance fees are covered but you may want cash for offerings and to feed the fish at the last temple; and you’re dropped off at the airport, not back at your hotel, so plan for that.

I highly recommend this tour! The hotel pickup was right on time, and our guide, Mr. Nui, was very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. As someone with a background in history, I really appreciated his explanations about the places we visited. The transportation was comfortable, and the driver was careful on the mountain roads. The highlight for me was Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The temple was beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. I definitely recommend the sunrise tour because the weather was nice and cool, and there weren't too many tourists around. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely worth it!

Uthai was an excellent guide! The temples we visited were are beautiful and our guide gave us lots of great info at each temple. Pick up was on time and communication was great. Tour is about 4 hours from pick up to drop off. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the Doi Suthep and Wat Pha Lat Sunrise Tour. Everything was well organized and on time, with no delays. Our guide James was very friendly and attentive. He told us a lot of interesting things and talked with everyone in the group. I had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour

Guide very well, Temples are so incredibles, the pick up was so perfect ( at the hotel and the day before we know at which time they arrive at the hotel) , organisation very well.

Our tour guide Happy was so amazing! Gave lots of information and gave us time to wonder freely. The sunrise wasn’t completely visible because it was cloudy but it was still very beautiful up there, I especially liked seeing the city view when it was still dark. The other temples we visited were very unique and older than the flashy ones you see around now. I will say that I saw a lot more monks at these temples than I’ve seen at all the others I’ve visited and even got blessed by a monk, this makes it feel more of an authentic experience as opposed to just a tourist place. We were given a lot of free time and maybe a little too long in some of the temples as they weren’t too big to see fully. Still a lovely day though! Thank you happy for making it super fun and educational, I learnt so much!

It is an amazing sunrise trip with Eizky. There is only 3 people in my group which make it feel like a private trip. Eizky is so lovely during the trip.. explaining about the interesting history of lanna and the culture . Even though we did not get to se the sunrise.. but the chiang mai city view from the viewpoint is already mesmerizing. It quite an adventure for me because the road paht to the doi suthep is really zigzaggy and i have i motion sickness which makes me relly dizzy and feel like want to puke.. but luckily the driver drive verry carefully all the way up and down the mountain that makes me can stand the dizzyness. I am verry gratefull for that.. and thank you too to eizky for making sure that i am alright during the trip.. i am really appreciate it. So if u have car sick or motion sickness like me.. please prepare yourself.. huhu.. thank u

Nui (Uthai Kantha-udom)​ is punctual, cheerful and clear in his explanation. Overall trip was satisfactory. We were unable to see the sunrise or hike down the 300+ steps of stairs due to the rain. It would be perfect if weather was better.

Mr Uthai Kantha-udom is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The sceneries are breathtaking.

Great experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable, and I learned so much about Chiang Mai, Thailand, history and Buddhism. The temples were absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

Had a lovely sunrise tour with Tai. She was informative and patient while we took our time taking photos and enjoying the temples. The early morning meant few tourists which was a nice change.

Our guide Sam and our driver did an amazing job at making this trip/tour memorable. We captured pre dawn images as well as sunrise / early morning shots, then back to our hotel for a relaxing breakfast and nap. It’s best to do the early morning tours so you can capture the best light and there are fewer crowds.

Had a great experience with James, him and the driver were both very friendly and welcoming. His guidance was educational and entertaining. The views at the top of Doi Suthep were beautiful despite not being able to see the sunset due to the clouds/fog.

We did this tour with our guide Boon, and it was a brilliant way to spend a morning. Despite the early start and cloudy weather, it was so interesting and informative learning about the temples, Buddhism and history in some very peaceful and beautiful areas. Brilliant tour.

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour with James to Wat Doi Suthep, Wat Umong and Wat Pha Lot. After getting all our daily steps in climbing to Wat Doi Suthep, we watched the sunrise over Chiang Mai from the golden pagoda. We heard monks chanting and gave alms. James, had practiced as monk for five years and was so knowledgeable about Buddhism. It was so interesting to learn about the symbolism of the religion and architecture of the temple complexes.

The trip was nice, our guide Ton made it a very positive experience as he was sharing information every time he had the chance or we asked a question, and he did it with a big smile :) The sunrise was stunning from the top view. The pickup was very punctual, which we appreciated very much. It’s a relatively short, but full trip!

The time allocation was perfect, and I was able to visit efficiently in a short time. The guidance was bright and skillful, and the history and culture were very easy to understand.
