James (Bond) was great! Super informative and lovely vibe. Love to learn about Buddhism and the history of the national park. Would highly recommend this tour and James!

Itinerary
Our first stop is one of the largest and the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, the Wachirathan Waterfall. Over 80 meters high, the power of this waterfall creates a refreshing mist that feeds the surrounding vegetation – giving you the most invigorating facial of your life!
Then we’ll head to the amazing Sirithan Waterfall. This stunning 50-meter cascade, fed by the Mae Klan River from Doi Inthanon’s peak, is perfectly hidden deep in the pine forest. Follow one of the many paths around the impressive and powerful body of water; enjoy the cool spray as you pursue closer views, maybe even a rainbow!
Next we’ll stop at the famous twin pagodas: the Napamatanee Don and Napaphon Bhumisiri. Built for the Royal King and Queen, they are located at the highest point in Thailand, enriched with beautiful flower gardens and Alpen Roses. After visiting the royal stupas, we’ll stop by a restaurant to refuel for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll burn off all that pad thai with a bit of “mini-hiking” at the Angka Nature Trail. The trail is a 360m platform walkway taking you through the mossy rocks of the cloud forest. We’ll then visit a Karen Tribe locale where we will learn a bit about the tribes people’s culture and way of life, as we explore their village of Sobhad. We will finish the day by mingling with the people of the Hmong Tribe in the upland market, browsing its wealth of fine textiles, exotic foods, and local handicrafts

Nui is our tour guide for our private tour! He is very experienced and did a good job. Will recommend!
Well-organised tour. Everything was punctual and in line with the schedule. Guide Nana was very informative and made sure to schedule many toilet breaks
A truly wonderful experience! The coffee village alone was worth the entire trip. James was an excellent guide—he showed us all the plants and traditional processes, and shared fascinating stories about the Chiang Mai kingdom. He’s incredibly funny, and I loved his humor and positive attitude. Highly recommended
Nice place and very nice tour guide, said everything important about the places
We’ve just come from this tour and what I can say is that it was a wonderful day. Our guide was very welcoming, give us so many details during the tour, made jokes. We felt very confortable, it was fun. Discover Thaïlande local culture and have so new souvernirs and memories. I recommend strongly this tour and the guide. She is was awesome.
Sam was an amazing tour guide, attending to our every need and request. I highly recommand taking a tour to the Doi Inthanon with Sam! It was a wonderful experience
Our guide, Sunny, provided a very experience at Doi Inthanon National Park. We viewed beautiful waterfalls and Pagodas. We also visited the Karen people locale and learned about their history.
We had the opportunity to take a guided tour of Doi Inthanon National Park with Mr. Boon and Mr. Korn, and from beginning to end, it was an amazing experience! Our pickup was confirmed the day before, along with clear instructions and helpful advice on what to wear and bring. They arrived right on time and were friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the very beginning. Mr. Korn was a wonderful driver who made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. He was pleasant, accommodating, and made all of our pickups and drop-offs easy and stress-free. Mr. Boon was an incredible tour guide! He shared so much history and knowledge with us while also keeping us laughing with his great sense of humor. We started by visiting the highest point in Thailand, then had the opportunity to meet members of the Karen community and taste their locally grown coffee, followed by visits to the beautiful waterfalls. Throughout the day, Mr. Boon shared fascinating history and information about the places we visited, and both he and Mr. Korn were always happy to help us take photos so we could capture the memories. What made this experience especially meaningful was how authentic and personal it felt. We didn’t just feel like tourists being taken from one stop to another — we felt like we were being introduced to the history, culture, people, and beauty of Thailand by two people who genuinely wanted us to experience and appreciate it. Thank you, Mr. Boon and Mr. Korn, for giving us such a memorable and authentic Thai experience. We are extremely grateful and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!
Nice, kind, knowledgeable tour to Thailands highest escarpment.
Atii (guide) and Bang (driver) were excellent and looked after us really well on our day in Doi Inthanon. There were so many highlights that I can’t possibly mention them all, but suffice it to say there were lots of great moments that we did expect from the itinerary and some surprises that we definitely didn’t. Atii was a great guide, extremely polite & passionate about making sure we had a great time. She taught us a lot about Thai and Karen culture and was clearly very proud to be able to show off the wonderful sights and sounds of Doi Inthanon. My eldest son particularly enjoyed her teaching us about the 4 stages of the Buddha’s life, and we were all absolutely blown away by Wachirathan waterfall. The trip ran to schedule, and Atii, having looked at the weather, offered us a choice of pick up times to make sure we dodged most of the rain. We would definitely recommend this trip, Atii & Bang to anyone. Bring lots of cash as there are amazing souvenirs you can buy that are handmade by people you meet and you won’t want to miss out!
We enjoyed our day so much! Adii was a wonderful and patient guide. The stops were the perfect length and she catered the tour based on our interest. My 20 year old daughter said it's was her favorite day in Thailand so far. The only caveat I would give had nothing to do with the tour/ operators. We came in August which is the rainy season so the Pagodas were so cloudy/ foggy, you couldn't see anything, but everything else was wonderful.
We where lucky to have James on our own. James is a very great guy and we liked him as our guide Recommend 100% James
Had an amazing day with our guide Nanna and our driver Bank. Nanna was informative and entertaining and showed us all the highlights of this area of Thailand. We really felt we saw a different side of Thailand on this trip and it was great to see a mix of rainforest, waterfalls, monuments and local tribes in one trip.
Wonderful, packed-full day of unique experiences. Nana was the best guide we could have had: knowledgeable, kind, and so funny. Wish we could have her be our guide for every activity we did in Thailand!!
Great experience. Special thanks to our tour guide nana. She’s is so amazing.
Save your money. You spend 90% of the time in a van that handles poorly. First stop: Good scenery, but not worth it. They didn’t provide water as promised, only soda. Second stop: the guide explained nothing. By far the worst experience in Thailand. We felt ripped off. A completed wasted of time Disappointed with Civitatis. Never again.
Great tour with a very friendly guide and driver. Definitely worth doing, good day out with an early start but you get up to some cool stuff
Sam is the GOAT. Super helpful and very knowledgeable
Boon was THE most lovely guide!! He was super funny and kind, and had great knowledge of Chiang Mai and the national park we visited. Cannot recommend him more! Boom is a great person to represent how beautiful Thailand is! The tour was so beautiful and the sites were so interesting.
We had the best time going around the national park. Boon was the best guid. He was very funny and informative.
Happy was my guide and she was amazing! So smart and sweet. Highly recommend!
Learned a lot about Thai culture and history. I would recommend it for anyone.,.....................
Great trip and recommended tour guide
Amazing trip, thank you very much !
Today I had a great tour and discovery experience at the Doi Inthanon National Park with the tour guide Laila! Trekking in the jungle and in the rice fields with a local guide, tasting of caffee and tea, lunch with Thai food, discovery of the highest peak of Thailand, twin pagodas and waterfalls were the ingredient of this beautiful day. Laila is super nice and she explained all the history and details of the places we visited. All the tour was perfectly managed and organized. Highly recommended!
Nuttaya was a great guide! She and the driver picked us up from our hotel and took care of everything. She tailored our tour to us and was so helpful all along the way. It was a lovely day on the mountain and we highly recommend this tour and guide!
Amazing day trip! Well organised, suitable for different age groups. Peter was our tour guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable, making the day unforgettable with great conversations and planning such that we avoided the crowds at each attraction. Would recommend, and many thanks Peter (Peraset)!
What a great day. Nui, our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his people’s land and heritage and it showed throughout the tour. We learned, saw some beautiful sights, met some lovely people and made great memories.
We had a fantastic personalised tour with our guide Jin and driver tonic. Despite the hot weather in city , it was a cool and beautiful blue sky day up at doi Inthanon. Jin was very friendly , knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. The waterfall was spectacular even though it was the dry season. The gardens at the king and queen pagodas were beautiful and the interior of pagodas were Stunning yet serene. The walk around the gardens were awesome with a cool breeze and sounds of bird life chiming in the background. We were taken to a local Thai restaurant and had a most enjoyable lunch of fried fish with pad Thai. The visit to local Karin village was eye opening and it was a picture of a close knit community striving to find a way to thrive economically but yet maintaining a traditional way of life of simplicity and close relationships. We had a great day out and is highly recommended.
The itinerary was deviated from what was advertised, and the guide was not that knowledgeable.
Enjoyed our day with Matt. He was very kind and made sure we had enough time in each location. He also took many pictures of us.
We had a lovely experience and specifically with SAM took the effort of taking us to his village also, and he was very informative and supportive and kept the fun going throughout the journey
We opted to do a private tour up to Doi Inthanon, so we could spend the desired amount of time we preferred at each of the stops. We loved the variety of the different places we visited. With the waterfalls and the pagodas being more impressive than we thought they were going to be and ended up being our favourite. We enjoyed walking around the local village to get a feel of how some people chose to live. Very insightful and humbling. Our tour guide, James, was very informative and friendly. He told us so much about the places we visited, along with Thai culture and religion and had fantastic English. It’s a long days worth of driving, but I would say the sights were worth it.
This was perhaps the most surprising trip we did in Thailand due to the variety of experiences including waterfall, highest point in Thailand, a hill village, and pagodas. The experience was very much enhanced by the knowledge and support we received from our guide Eikzy who was extremely attentive to our needs and ensured we had a good understanding of the places visited. She also helped us by taking family photos. Great day, great experiences, and a great guide.
The trip was amazing. Our guide Nana was so knowledgeable and informative. She was fun and happy and made us very comfortable the whole day. We love the waterfall, the nature trail and the twin pagodas. Our driver Bank was wonderful and took good care of us also. We highly recommend this tour ❤️
We had wonderful experiences visiting the Wachirathan Waterfall, Doi Inthanon and the Karen village. Our guide Ms Pranom was very knowledgeable about the area as well as having a wonderful relationship with the villagers. These make the trip much more memorable. Thank you very much Ms Pranom and TripGuru Thailand.
Best guide Sam. Amazing expérience ! All the attraction are worth and fun to visite. I recommend !!
Our first thought was Wow this air conditioned van we had for the day was very high end with great seats, charging stations & cold water . The van trip was smooth & hassle free. Our guide Guy spoke brilliant English & we enjoyed his narrative as we went on the trip . The food for our lunch stop was very tasty Thai & the coffee & tea tasting at the Karen tribe village was interesting . 8.30-4.30 was the trip time but it went so fast & was very relaxing being in the national park area . Easy walking to the waterfall but a bit muddy . Training shoes a must . Highly recommend
Nana is the best guide ever. She is really funny. You won’t be a bit bored with her. And the activity was great. Doi Inthanon Pagodas was my favorite
We were a group of 9. A lot of time in the van but that is necessary to see all the cultural and natural sights - they aren't just in one place sadly. It cost an additional 400 baht per person for some entry fees but this was communicated well beforehand.
ATii was our tour guide, she shared so much information for every place we went! We loved it! Plus she was the best photographer!
Jackie was such an incredible guide. He was kind & patient to answer all my questions. Very informative, spoke great English, and was a pleasure to be around. Inthanon Park was stunning, a trip to Chiang Mai isn’t complete without a visit there. I would do everything possible to request Jackie for your guide, he really made the trip special for us. Also, a big thank you to our driver, Mr. O! I give this trip 11 stars out of 10 and HIGHLY recommend
I love Sam! He was very informative and funny. He was also able to answer questions that I had. I’m super happy that he was my guide.
The places we visited were great but our guides English was very hard to understand. A bit more walking would have been good.
Our tour guide Sam was very friendly & informative. From the meeting point it was a 2 hour drive to the 1st stop, stopping at the services on the way for a toilet break. The 1st stop was the waterfall, that was very good & we were lucky to glimpse a bit of the rainbow with the sun being out in the morning. The 2nd stop was at Karen village, where the tribes live we hot to walk around watch the lady making a scarf & see how they live life. We also got to try the tea & coffee they make complimentary, with a little shop to buy from. Then we headed to the national park to the highest place in Thailand, this part we weren’t so lucky as it was raining & cloudy so had no view to look at, this was the same at the temples too. You get a lunch stop too & the food at the restaurant was really nice. The drive was very bumpy along the way, not sure if it’s just uneven roads or lots of pot holes. I would recommend booking closer to the time for this tour so you can check what the weather would be like as it would have been a much better experience at the too had we had a clear view, but we can’t change the weather & we still enjoyed ourselves.
Had a great trip to Doi Inthanon, and a big part of that was thanks to our charming tour guide Sam. Even when the rain hit during the second half of the day, he kept the mood light with his humor and enthusiasm. His energy truly saved the trip. Overall, a lovely experience despite the weather!
It was a rainy day in the mountain but Peter our guide was fantastic. Bang the driver was spot on. We had a great time especially going to the non-commercialized Karen village where they make garments by hand. The village also grows and process coffee. It was an awesome experience. Best coffee ever. I had like 4 cups! Despite the rain and fog it was a fruitful day. Great Thai history & sociology lesson. Quite engaging!! Highly recommended 5🌟
I had a wonderful day out to Doi Inthanon with Nom and our driver - she was friendly, informative and very organised. Stops at Wachirathan waterfall, the highest point in Thailand, the King and Queen pagodas/chedi, a great lunch, and then coffee tasting at a local Karen village - all were excellent, spectacular scenery. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We booked a private tour. Sasin was a lovely, great guide! Her English was very good and she gave lots of information on the Thai culture & history. The driver was very nice as well. The pagoda’s and waterfall were , for us, the best part of the tour. I recommend shoes with a good grip for this tour as the surroundings of the waterfall are very slippery.
