Received prior msg/updates from the agency. On time pickup. Mumu, our tour guide was well spoken and very helpful and guided us through the trip. The viewing spots were a nice mix of nature and pagodas. Local lunch was very good. The coffee tasting spot was very good too. Overall, will recommend the tour and Mumu as a tour guide. It was a day well spent.

This is one of the biggest waterfalls in Chiang Mai.
Short wooden boardwalk trail winding through moss-clad trees in a dense rainforest.
On the main road to the summit of Doi Inthanon stand two adjacent chedis, one called Naphamethinidon, meaning 'by the strength of the land and air', and the other, Naphaphonphumisiri, meaning 'being the strength of the air and the grace of the land'. These temples were built to honour the 60th birthday anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1987, and the 60th birthday anniversary of Queen Sirikit in 1992, respectively.

Our guide Mumu and driver Kan were wonderful. Mumu was funny and kind and made everyone comfortable right away. Kan was a safe driver and was always prompt and polite with pickup. The tour was well-rounded and interesting. Highly recommend booking with Mumu and Kan! Thank you!
What an amazing trip! Just when I thought I couldn’t love Chaing Mai any more than I did, we went up the mountain and stopped at a waterfall with a rainbow over. Mumu was an excellent guide. She was friendly, full of knowledge and very funny. Tom was a great driver too. We walked a nature trail, visited a village and tested their delicious, organic coffee. We reached the very top and saw the magnificent pagodas of the King and Queen. I would totally recommend this trip as an alternative to the chaos of the town.
We had a lovely day out as a family! Mumu was super friendly and knowledgeable throughout the tour, sharing lots of interesting information along the way. My mum has some knee problems, so this tour was perfect for us as it didn’t involve too much walking. We also visited a local village and tried tea made from coffee husks for the first time, which was surprisingly fragrant and delicious! The itinerary was exactly as described, and everything went smoothly. Thanks Mumu & Tom for a great day!
Pam was awesome. Very friendly and nice to sit back and have someone do all the planning and work for a great day! Tom was an excellent driver, very safe.
We really enjoyed this tour...it requires a bit of fitness, but it wasn't unduly strenuous, and the scenery was beautiful. We were somewhat fortunate to go to Doi Inthanon on a clear day, so it was just a bit misty at the top. The hike to the Royal Project (which is a Thai royal initiative started a couple of decades ago to move the local Karen people from opium farming to coffee, produce and other crops, and to support local education) was great, as were the local people. The waterfalls were beautiful as well, but you should wear sturdy hiking shoes that can handle mud. The King and Queen Pagodas also offer beautiful views (again, we got lucky with the weather). Tom and Tom (our guide and driver, respectively) were both very good, and really helped us understand the Karen culture, the Royal Project and everything we were seeing. It's a full day, we got back to the hotel about 7 PM, but we really felt it was worth it.
Our guide was lovely and the whole tour was amazing. The whole park is beautiful. Highly recommend!!
This was the start of my journey here in Chiang Mai and this tour was amazing. My first solo trip and I was nervous but not only was the guide friendly and very knowledgeable he made everyone feel comfortable. The guide helped get great pictures. We visited twin pagonda, did a lot of light hiking, visited a tribe town, spent time at a breath taking waterfall, we had all you can eat style lunch, we stopped at a small local market as well. Great day, Great Tour!
Excellent excursion! I must on your visit to this region. So well organized, nice transport, amazing historical and environmental views on this tour. Ice was a great tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about the regions history. I also recommend do the trek/hike if you are able, 1.5-2 hour, mostly downhill but uneven terrain. You will see a second waterfall, bamboo crossings, beautiful farmland.
Hiking was the best part for me and not challenging at all
Amazing experience! The pagodas are unreal. Our guide Bird was great, funny, informative and always eager to chat and explain
Had a great time with Bird and Tom. Small group in a comfortable vechicle, an exciting itinerary, and proactive tour guide
Excellent experience for first time visitor to Thailand. Visit to village was a highlight. Our guide, MuMu was a gem.
It was a great experience. Pickup was promot and smooth. Our guide Moo Moo and driver Tom were professional and friendly. I felt like the amount of time spent at each location was sufficient. The tour was as described.
Guide is very well versed in the history. Time efficient. Very kind and funny guy too.
We had a fantastic experience with Mumu as our guide! She took us to discover some beautiful waterfalls, and we really enjoyed hiking with her. What stood out the most was her kindness, friendliness, and dedication to explaining everything along the way, always making sure we were enjoying ourselves and learning throughout the excursion. She also taught us several useful Thai words and expressions, which made the experience even more special. It was a wonderful trip and we would highly recommend it! Thank you, Mumu, for your warmth, enthusiasm, and dedication, and for making our day so memorable. 😊
Real great experience, even though the trial is long and tired, but wonderful experience:)
We did this tour today and, even with rainfall and low cloud which effected some visibility, we still had an awesome day. The guide was top notch and the driver made us feel that we were in safe hands.
Excellent tour! Mumu and Tom did a great job! Definitely recommend! Learned a lot about that area of Chiang Mai!
Mumu and Tom were excellent today. Mumu is so knowledgeable and the guided hike was so good! Beautiful place to visit on a trip to Chaing Mai!
Awesome tour. Mumu is great! Would go on a tour with them next time.
Moo Moo was absolutely fantastic and made an already brilliant day at Doi Inthanon even better. She was warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about everything she showed us, from the Karen village and local plants to the history, wildlife and forests of the mountain. She never made it feel like we were being dragged through a rehearsed tour script, and instead spent the whole day chatting with us, answering questions and pointing out things we would never have noticed on our own. By the end of the day it felt much more like exploring Chiang Mai with a very knowledgeable friend than being taken around by a tour guide. If you're lucky enough to get Moo Moo as your guide, you're going to have a fantastic day.
This was a really fantastic tour of the key highlights in the mountains around Chiang Mai- our guide Moo Moo was amazing and very knowledgeable- we asked. A lot of questions and she was able to address all of them- she also added interesting details about the people in the village we visited. Our driver Kao was very safe and skilled as well
Wow! What a wonderful day with Mumu and Tom visiting Doi Inthanon area. It was a day of highlights. First the lovely waterfall then the visit to the Karen village was truly special. Such a wonderful setting that included a delicious and generous lunch. The rain while we were there just added to the atmosphere! The walks at the top of the mountain and the King and Queen pagodas were all delightful. Mumu cease incredibly interesting. I learned so much about the Karen and Thai culture and lifestyle from her. She really loves her job! Tom was also a very experienced and considerate driver. Back at my hotel now tired but happy!
We spent the day with Mumu and Tom and they were wonderful. The tour was great, very informative and they were both very kind. From beginning to end, Mumu was very engaging and interactive. It was a private tour for us which made the tour even more personable. Thank you thank you thank you for a wonderful experience.
Even though we got rained on pretty much the entire time, it was still really fun! Our guide Po was so cool and knowledgeable and kept us informed the whole way. I would definitely do this again. Though maybe next time not during monsoon season.
Mumu was a fantastic tour guide and made our day so enjoyable. Thank you so much. I lost our bank bank card and she even took the time to go and look for it the day after which was very kind of her. Thank you for our wonderful day!
Mumu and Tom were excellent. Great day.
Such an amazing experience, well thought through itinerary and a fantastic day. Shoutout to Mumu and Tom who were super friendly and helpful - made the experience really special!
Mumu was amazing! She was super knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! We would recommend her over and over again. She had much attention to detail and always kept us informed on what was going on. We had a great time with her!
Lovely experience and day trip out to Doi Inthanon Park. Mumu was a lovely guide and had all the information we needed. Tom the driver was very helpful, polite and drove carefully for he duration of the trip. I felt very safe.
Two hour drive outside of Chiang Mai (short stop enroute) to visit the first national park and waterfall. Then royal gardens, rice fields/village ( lovely lunch), then onto the highest point of Thailand (Doi Inthanon), pagoda and final market before heading back. All interesting, just a lot of travel if you have children with you. Our guide was very good. Pick when you go also - we went in August and obviously the visibility wasn’t as good as other times of the year.
Moo Moo and Sakai were amazing!
We had an amazing experience visiting Doi Inthanon and the waterfalls with Mumu & Saka. From the very beginning, they made everything incredibly easy, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day without having to worry about any details. What truly stood out was their kindness, warmth, and genuine care for everyone in the group. They were always attentive to our comfort and well-being, making sure that everyone felt included, safe, and comfortable throughout the entire tour. Their positive energy and friendly personalities created a wonderful atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. Beyond being knowledgeable guides, Mumu & Saka went above and beyond to make the day special. They shared interesting information about the area, adapted the pace when needed, and were always ready to help with a smile. Their passion for what they do is evident, and it made a huge difference in our overall experience. Doi Inthanon and the waterfalls are beautiful destinations, but having guides like Mumu & Saka made the trip truly memorable. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable, and well-organized tour with people who genuinely care about their guests. Thank you, Mumu & Saka, for such a fantastic day!
Great day out. Mumu was very knowledgeable about each location, friendly and the van was very comfortable. A memorable day, would recommend.
It was a well organized tour, and Pam was an informative guide who was attentive to anything we needed.
Fun and adventurous way to see the national park. The weather was not very good when we got to the top, but obviously nothing the guide or tour could do about it. We opted for the 1.45 hour hike which was fun to see a couple of waterfalls and rice paddy’s, while also learning about the area from a Karen village local. The waterfalls were a highlight as we couldn’t really see the pagoda. The food for lunch was fine, and the free bananas were a plus. They give you lots of water. Be prepared for it to be very cold and rainy (we thought base layers and a poncho were the best because you could wear it over a backpack). Our guide Pam was very helpful and the driver Tom always drove safely. It was a small group and we thought it was generally enjoyable aside from the weather.
Great experience worth every penny. Some quite step steps and slopes so come prepared for a decent hike and wear appropriate shoes
The tour was quite elaborate with several sightseeing places, including 2 waterfalls, twin pagoda, temples, and the highest point in Thailand. While it rained for a while, we had a great experience with our Tour Guide (Bird) and Driver (Tom) from TVT Tours, a local tour operator in Chiang Mai.
MuMu is an amazing guide - she provided tons of information about Thai culture, history, the sites, and the local communities. She made the day easy with clear information about the itinerary, restroom stops, what to wear and what to expect. The hike was a definite highlight- I enjoyed seeing the waterfalls, insects, rice paddies and trying coffee and tea. Tom was an excellent driver who took care of us all day. The van was very comfortable. Overall an excellent experience!! Thank you MuMu and Tom!!
We had such a great day today with Mumu and Tom! Mumu was a thoughtful, engaged, and truly charming guide, and her English was impressive. She was happy to answer all of my endless nerdy questions and was very considerate of our children (ages 11, 9, 9). Tom was a driving ninja, always appearing the moment we were ready to move to the next destination. The tour was very well planned with a good amount of time at each stop. They also easily accommodated us with vegetarian lunch (which was fantastic, we devoured it). Highly recommend.
Yoong and team were fantastic. Great day exploring Doi Inthanon and the visit to Karen hilltribe and hike/walk with coffee / tea tasting at the end were highlights.
Wow the Trip was amazing. The car is very comfortable and beautiful. Mumu was very nice and very friendly we have also learned a lot and it was very interesting.Tom was also a really good driver and had his eyes on the road ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really loved this tour. Mumu and Tom were my tour guides and were absolutely fantastic. Mumu is easily the funniest person I have met in Thailand. She was also super informative and I learned a lot about Thai culture through her! I came for Doi Inthanon, but I really enjoyed all the other stops on the tour.
Great day out visiting waterfall, mountain top, pagodas, white Karen village, where we tried local coffee and had lunch and a local hill tribe food/drink (wine etc) market. Was cloudy at the top but still worth going for the overall experience. Mumu and our driver, Tom, were great. Very friendly, had water available and always happy to answer questions.
Mumu and Tom is a good team. We learned a lot about the local culture from Mumu. Got to see the village people made the scarves. The waterfall is great during this time of the year.
Had a great time with Mumu and Tom, the guides provide great information and were great to interact with throughout the whole day
We had a great private tour with Bird for this excursion! We originally were going to book the group tour but it was sold out so my husband and I did the private tour. We were so glad we did! Very comfortable vehicle and the day was tailored to us. We did this trip in July during the rainy season, so there were not views from the top locations due to clouds, but Bird still made the experience great and provided a lot of history and information. The lunch was absolutely delicious and visiting the Karen Villiage was our favorite and we got to try and purchase some coffee. The waterfalls were beautiful as well! Definitely reccomend to see some different things outside of Chiang Mai! Bring a jacket because it can be cold at the top!
The tour guide Mumu and driver Tom were exceptional at running the day. The day was well balanced with natural scenery and also local highlights. We went during raining season July when it was quite cold and we suggest layering up and also wearing waterproof clothing for a more comfortable experience. Mumu is very friendly and a great Chiang Mai local to ask for eatery recommendations. We had fun despite the poor weather due to the well organised experience 😊
Great guide in Ize. Amazing waterfall and lovely hike!
