The tour guide Aunty explains about the trip very well and she took care of my lunch when I talked about Halal food.

The whole excursion was a long way and a long time on a bus. I enjoyed the Hilltop Village and also the White Temple - but the Blue and the Red Temples, were more like Disney - new temples etc - built for tourism. The tour guide and driver were fine - but wasn't my favourite excursion for sure
Goy was very kind with us, very good tour, we went to Chang Rai and saw a lot of things. I recommend it to everyone
Great guide and amazing places. White temple was of course the best but the other temples were really nice too. Guide was super friendly and helpful.
Our tour guide was the BEST! We loved the tour. One thing though — we would have loved more time at the White Temple because it is pretty big, and 45 minutes wasn’t quite enough time to explore everything. Other than that, we absolutely loved the full-day trip. This is a MUST-do!
Great experience overall--- I hope future groups get more explanation of history and/or interesting facts about what we are seeing. The views were beautiful and the transportation was comfortable.
A very beautiful discovery, our guide Matteo commented very well on the visit, a beautiful day with beautiful discoveries and memories.
We took this trip for one day from Chiang Mai to visit the temples from Chiang Rai. The temples are very beautiful and the guide's english was very good. I truly recommend the tour.
It was a great experience. The trip was totally worth it. The tour guide and driver were nice. Not fluent in English but that was fine with me. The places we went to totally incredible!
Great transportation, the tour guide woman gave us good history, kept us on time, and worth the money and time. The lunch was delicious and you can eat as much as you can. The coconut chicken soup outstanding. The temples are beautiful and we will be back . The trip was for educational purposes and we will bring our students next time.
Worth to spend whole day, as white temple looks magnificent. We were picked up on agreed time and back also on agreed time.
The temples were extraordinary but the road trip really took the shine off the tour. Our van was packed full of people and was most uncomfortable.
It would be better to fly to Chang mai and view this rather than endless hours in a mini bus. The temples are amazing. Also the guise wanted us to buy water which for me should have been provided (cold). Prioritising viewing of the cave and museum should have taken pretence over lunch as the cave was closed unit 14:00 perhaps missing out the natural spring and tourist trap. For me it was okay value for money but not our time
The temples themselves were incredible and definitely worth seeing, the hot springs were a bit of a con but broke the journey up and the Karen village more of a tourist trap than a genuine village. The reason for the 1 star was actually the driving in the minibus, 3 hours of dangerous driving and overtakes on blind corners making my partner feel sick and the entire bus unsafe. I eventually called the driver out on it and insisted he stop however by that point the damage was done and we were too worked up to enjoy the trip which was a shame because as I say the temples are spectacular and worth the visit just consider how you get there.
Guide was not good in specking English. Timing in white temple was 1 hour which was not enough. Blue temple time was given only 30 minutes, not enough
We joined the travel agency, Joy Astar that was a terrible travel agent. Their van was so hot even though my husband and I were asking to turn on the strongest air conditioner, It does not work. Since we were at the last seat as the last picked up customers, The seats was unable to adjust and only straight 90 degree sitting and our back were pain after total 6 hours back and fro from Chiangmai to Chiangrai. The tour guide, Amy, does not do much beside explain a few sentences of the places we visited on the van. She did not company us ( total 12 of tourists in the group ), She let all the tourists free touring ourselves. Why we need tour guide if ' FREE TOURING " ? The driver drove so fast and made us bumping around and we have to take motion sickness medicine to prevent vomit and dizzy. It makes the entire trip was so bad ! The service was poor and the condition of the van was bad.
It was a big day but we managed to see so much of Changi Mai in a short time. This company was efficient, friendly and shared a wealth of knowledge.
A brilliant day out. So much to see and enough time to do so. The guide was really insightful and helpful
This trip was fun! Overall it was a great experience, driver drove pretty fast so we got there and back quicker than expected which was nice after a long day in the heat and sun. We just wanted to see the white and blue temples so stopping at the black museum was kinda overkill. But overall we had a great time and would do it again. I highly recommend for anyone. Guides were also very informative the whole way through.
We spend very beautiful day on this trip. White temple was something really breathtaking, also the other locations on this trip. Our guide was amazing and he knows how to answer all the questions.
The full day tour was great! Van was comfortable too. The places that we visited were fantastic especially the white temple. The black temple was actually interesting. I'd recommend this tour and bring your friends along for nice photos. I was travelling solo so I asked for help to take photos here and there 😂 Make sure to try the blue coconut ice cream at the blue temple.
It's a full day, a lot to see and take in, but for me I found the pace suited me. Some may have found it a bit rushed maybe?? But being on my own i was able to get around everything fairly quickly. The lunch was good and more than enough choice, and our guide Job( or happy budda) was good fun and informative. Overall I think it was great value and really enjoyed it.
Very nice day trip with a wonderful guide that was very helpful, kind and full of knowledge. She was very generous in explanation and spoke a very clear English ! Loved that day.
We absolutely loved this tour of the temples! Our guide was fantastic! He took pictures of us & explained in detail many features of the temple we wouldn’t have known. I highly recommend this tour!
Amazing architecture at each temple gave us stunning pictures. Most of my friends ask about the white temples or point out how beautiful the temples are. Looking back, the tour gave us the appropriate amount of time for each area. They were all very helpful and made sure not to leave anyone behind, even those that straggled back to our meeting place past the meeting time. Great experience. Would definitely recommend this tour.
White temple = touristique Blue temple =ok The guide =sleeping all the time without explication ! Better go there without guide and no with this compagny
The most amazing man made place I've ever been just stunning I have been to Rome Paris London but no buildings compare to this incredible, when in Thailand it's a must visit you will not be disappointed
Whilst this was a long day our Tour Guide Joe was brilliant and explained everything we would be doing and time allocation. The White and Blue Temples were absolutely beautiful to the point of breathtaking. Not too sure about the Black House but some interesting art! The hot spring stop was great and we paid the extra Bhat to see the Tribes which again I’m so glad we did as extremely interesting and with our guide’s explanation, again brilliant.
gorgeous places to visit and breath taking. we enjoyed every minute of it. the tour guy spoke very well. he is very knowledgeable in every stop that we booked. thank you so much that you gave the insight about the Buddhism relation.
Great experience Yoyo was fabulous and all the sights great but it's a very long day 12 hours and the driver was abit crazy like he was on a racing track instead of a road. The mini van wasn't that comfortable either
Awesome! Tour guide is very helpful and friendly, had a great time solo trip with the group! There is not too much traffic
Really good sights to see and Lalita was a good tour guide. Great way of seeing Chiang Rai in a day. Only downside was some areas like the white temple felt a bit rushed.
Yoyo and Jack were an excellent duo. Jack drove us out and back both quickly and safely. Yoyo managed time well such that we could have as much time as possible at each stop. I appreciated the positive attitudes, information, and care provided.
Buyer Beware!!! Horrible Experience. I would stay away from this excursion. It is NOT as advertised. Had an miserable Experience
It's a long ride, but I'm so glad I made the trip. Mind blowing really really beautiful temples black house too. Is the very long trip but worth it. the only downside was the van was old. The seats were hard and the ride was bumpy. Other tourist vans looked like they had cushier seats. Oh well 😀
We were picked up from our hotel on time and it was a full group. The tour guide explained the journey to us clearly and it was a pleasant drive. The stops were planned to give us sufficient time at each location, and it was quite an enjoyable schedule. Plenty of photo opportunities and it is recommended to bring along a hat/cap, a comfortable pair of shoes are necessary. The weather during the time of visit was comfortable through the day and it was cooler towards the evening.
HOLY F*CKING F*CK!!! THIS WAS AN INCREDIBLE DISASTER!! DO NOT DO THIS TOUR OR USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!!! I asked to finish in Chiang Rai and instead of having me just finish at the final attraction (the Black Temple) they just left me by the side of the highway even further from Chiang Rai! No Grab or Bolt would get me. I had to hitchhike into Chiang Rai! Who in their right mind would think it was a good idea to leave me here? Why not just end at the Black Temple? Seriously, leaving a random foreigner by the side of the highway?? I HITCHHIKED INTO TOWN!! This could have been an even bigger disaster. Get your sh*t together tour operator.
Yo-Yo was fun, friendly and full of info. Kept a tight schedule and had plenty of time at each stop. Worth a day on the road!
The trip was nice. Was not a fan of the mini van very cramped seats for a 3 hour drive and the driver was not safe as he would take some dangerous moves. Overall the food was great and the tour guide was lovely
This was a long day - over 12 hours 😎 guide was informative and VERY enthusiastic! White temple was amazing but a little rushed, blue temple less amazing but would always be less impressive. Black house -was really interesting and lovely grounds - we would have liked more time, but that felt really rushed. Lots of people on the trip took no heed of guide’s instruction's regarding time back at the bus - really frustrating and very selfish as would have allowed either more time at the sites or earlier return time.
You should definitely take this excursion. Very impressive. Unusual. Be sure to pay to enter the village and take a photo with the long-necked residents. You won't regret it.
Fantastic sight seeing around the temple, with modern Lanna style architecture. Decorated with mirror chips and white color.
Overall, this was a long day. It was really cool to see the White Temple and the Blue Temple. Both are very beautiful. We had a lot of time to take pictures at both. Our tour guide really didn’t tell us anything about them, so we did a lot of googling later. FYI: your ticket to the White Temple is good for the whole day so if you want to do the one-way walk more than once, you can. The Black House was interestingly weird and we didn’t get any context about it from our tour guide. I would’ve skipped this. Our driver drove through the twists and turns really fast. I think he was trying to make up some time. If you are prone to motion sickness, sit near the front because the drive includes a lot of turns. I also got food poisoning from the buffet lunch, which was really unfortunate.
I joined a day tour to Chiang Mai's stunning White Temple, Blue Temple, and Black Museum, but the experience was somewhat marred by the guide's brief introductions before each site, leaving us to explore on our own without deeper insights. While this might appeal to some, I would have appreciated the option for guided or self-exploration. The mini-bus hotel pickup was convenient, but the interior was cramped and uncomfortable for long rides. The temples themselves, however, were breathtaking – the White Temple's intricate designs, the Blue Temple's vibrant colors, and the Black Museum's quirky exhibits left me in awe. Overall, this tour suits those seeking a taste of Chiang Mai's unique culture, but those seeking more in-depth knowledge may find it lacking.
Amazing experience with this tour. Our guide Smile and the driver (sadly I don't recall his name) were extremely friendly and helpful. The driving was safe and the van was comfortable and well-maintained with good air-con. Smile was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. We had ample time to explore the various places. There were enough restroom breaks along the way. The lunch was good. Smile kindly arranged a vegetarian lunch for me. I would highly recommend this tour.
Terrible experience!. They sent us to a different tour. When we were on track it was rushed and we couldn't enjoy temples and no visiting some places.
We had scheduling issues pop up but the tour operator was super accommodating and helpful with letting us reschedule! No complaints
The guide Tom was Excellent. The best part of the tour was the village of the long neck people. White temple is nice, blue is ok but they are pretty new structures which history extends for 10 or 20 years max. The black house is just somehow a strange experience, lots of satanic sculptures, altars and paintings and tenths of masculine genitals carved on wood everywhere (attention if you travel with kids). The worst part was the transportation, my seat had no room for the legs so I had to travel with the legs on the corridor from 7:00 to 15:00, and I’m a rather small guy 1.7m/70kg After that in the last 3 hours of the tour I was offered to exchange seats with the guide (thanks Tom!), which improved but the van almost did a frontal crash on the way back. I would suggest people to avoid booking this tour or assure to have a proper transportation from safety and comfort point of view, it is a long journey.
Great Tour of Chiang Rai Temples, great content with an excellant considerate guide. Being an older traveller at times I needed assistance and our guide was right beside. We had a great day, Thankyou 😊
The guide was very kind and the whole trip was very well organised. We loved the white temple, very impressive!
