Chiang Mai: White/blue/red Temples, Karen Tribe & Lalitta Cafe

James was a great guide. Very informative. Long day but worth it to see the sights.

This should absolutely be the way you do the Chiang Mai temples! Our tour guide (Banana) was AWESOME. He was extremely knowledgeable. It is quick but I operate that way anyway. I want to see all I can and onto the next thing. There was no time wasted and we definitely got the best of Chiang Mai. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

Boon was an excellent tour guide. He was funny, energetic, and engaging throughout the entire day. He really made the experience. Be advised, this is a LONG day. We started at 7:40 AM and didn’t get back until 7:30 PM. Chiang Rai is about three hours away each direction. There is also ongoing construction on the main highway, which adds to the travel time and makes for a pretty bumpy ride. Obviously, this is progress for the Chiang Rai area, but for now, it adds both time and a little discomfort to the day. The temples were beautiful, and there were plenty of opportunities along the way to grab something to eat or drink and take a break. All in all, it was a great day. More than anything, we’re thankful we had Boon as our guide. He was amazing, incredibly informative, and kept things fun all day long.

The guide was INCREDIBLE! I’m always so impressed by guides that are so passionate about the history of the places, he was the most impressive by far! I brought my mother who has some some mobility concerns, the guide and driver were so kind and caring about her.

We had an amazing day!! Jin our guide gave us some great tips and explanations about Thai culture. He is so knowledgeable, kindly and funny. We loved the temples, especially the white temple and the long neck village. We really recommend this tour for everyone.

Great day with James and his driver. The temples were impressive and we learned about their history and some info about Buddhism. James was a great guide, patient, knowledgeable and kind. Would do another tour with them!

Sam was a wonderful guide and had a good mix of talking about the temples and allowing us to move freely on our own. Highly recommended tour! The trip up and back are both 3.5 hours long so we prepared with extra food and water. Each leg has a rest stop with public toilets and store to buy food and water. The tour is a full 12 hours…

Was exactly what I was looking for. Got to see all the sites. Also some optional stops which was nice. Great for solo travelers

Highly recommend this tour since you get to see all 3 temples o chiang rai and more and they are trully beautiful. We were lucky to don't find a lot of people but don't worry if the time seems tight to visit everything because the guide will give you the time needed. Our guide was Art and he was really kind and helpful to understand the story behind these places :)

Very professional and friendly tour guide. Informative and kept to a good schedule to see the sites. Van was comfortable, AC was good, seats reclined for the 3 hour drive.

Jackie is a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable about all the temples and Thailand in general. White temple was the highlight of the tour and is a must see. Hotel pickup and drop off was seamless so we did not have to worry about anything. Jackie and the driver took good care of us all day. Highly recommend this tour.

Great experience, our guide Boon was very great! He explained a lot of history on the places we visited, gave us great recommendations for shopping and food. What I liked about the tour, if that I didn't feel very rush, we had our time to explore all the places we visited.

The temples and Karen village are definitely worth seeing and this price with a small group is recommended . Our hotel was not on the list so we had to find one close and walk to, which wasn’t bad. All of us (6 total in a van) got dropped off at the airport, which seemed odd, being that we all got picked up from the Center. Our guide, Art, was very nice and knowledgeable. However, personally, I had a hard time understanding him. I get that the Karen village is optional, but wished we had more than 20 minutes to support their community. All in all, great experience!

The temples on the tour were wonderful. The only downside to the tour was six hours in a van that had little to nobody suspension. The van was in very bad shape and if you have any kind of back issues do not take this tour

Great experience to learn about the white temple, blue temple, and red temple. Stunning architecture and plenty to see while wondering around. Do be prepared as it is a long drive (3 hrs there and 3 hrs back)

Although it’s a long journey, the scenery along the way is absolutely stunning, and the coffee stop was very welcome! We loved visiting the White, Blue and Red Temples, each completely different and so beautiful. The buffet lunch was also a great opportunity to try lots of different Thai dishes. Our guide, Addi, was fantastic — really friendly, knowledgeable and even taught us a little Thai along the way! Our driver was brilliant too and made the long journey feel easy. A long day, but definitely worth it. A really memorable trip!

We had an enjoyable day on this tour. The temples were absolutely beautiful, and it was a great way to see some of Northern Thailand’s most iconic sights in one trip. Our guide, Bon, was fantastic. She was very friendly and shared interesting information about each temple we visited, which made the experience much more meaningful than just taking photos. It is a long day since Chiang Rai is around three hours from Chiang Mai, and we did experience some delays due to traffic on the way back. However, this was completely outside of the tour company’s control, and Bon kept everyone informed throughout the day. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth it if you want to visit the stunning temples of Chiang Ra

A really fun tour to visit the beautiful Chiang Rai temples. We booked the bus tour but got upgraded to a smaller tour with max 9 people. Our tour guide Boon was a really great guide and explained a lot and he was really nice. It was better than expected!! Recommend

The tour of the three temples was great! Boon was a great host and tour guide. He had great stories to tell and was very knowledgable. The ride there was long, but i felt safe and comfortable. We stopped for bathroom and food, and got to learn some history along the way. The temples were stunning and well worth the ride. Thank you Boon for a memorable experience!!! He took many great photos of us too. Admission fees were included in the price of the tour. Overall great experience.

The temples and giant Buddha were great. The drive to and from was very long. 3.5 hours each way with lots of road construction. The tour details included drive time so this was not a surprise, but most of the time was spent on the road.

It was a long ride but the temples were so worth it and so unique! Happy was a great guide and the coconut ice cream was a great recommendation, thank you!

A wonderful day trip to Chiang Rai! Our tour guide, Peter, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the day well organized. He brought us to the three iconic temples, sharing interesting stories and local insights along the way. The pace was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Peter as your guide!

This is a must see place if your in chiang Mai. The photo and videos you see online do not match up with the experience of being their. If you get a good dry day just jump in taxi and go, Every one now where it is. Entrance fee 200 baht, or you could wander round the other temple in the area not just white temple, 200 baht is nothing . Try getting their early. 20 minutes from city. If your planning do all the temple in one day as I did, just talk to taxi drive he will be pleased to take you for the day, This way you have not time frame you stay as long as you like. And another great thing about hiring taxi he took us to other temple not mentioned online where the thai go. I will not mention her. Will be writing review soon.
