The Hmong Village was one of the highlights of my trip. It's a beautiful and serene setting with charming and industrious people. I had thought that it was going to be more of a cultural experience than a shopping opportunity. I should have brought more money with me. Hmong handicrafts are extremely beautiful, extremely well made, and surprisingly inexpensive. This is a much better shopping experience than any of the big city markets.

Itinerary
Take in the beautiful natural landscapes as you relax on a scenic drive along the winding mountain roads of Doi Suthep. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai’s most revered and iconic temples. A popular Thai saying goes, “If you haven’t seen Doi Suthep, you haven’t been to Chiang Mai.” The saying reflects the temple’s importance as one of the city’s most beloved cultural and spiritual landmarks. Take the cable car up to the temple. At the top, admire the magnificent Lanna-style golden pagoda, beautifully decorated with engraved gold plates and flanked by four ornamental umbrellas. The trip is also worth it for the stunning views alone. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding countryside from the mountain at approximately 3,520 feet (1,056 meters) above sea level.
We will continue to a Hmong hill tribe village where you’ll learn about their traditional way of life. Check out the residents’ colorful clothing and feel free to bargain for a few textiles, ornaments or handicrafts during your visit.

For visitors to Chiang Mai these are the crucial experiences. I especially enjoyed the visit to the Hmong village. Our tour guide apologized repeatedly for her English skills which was very gracious. There were times that she was hard to understand. However, her real-life insights and storytelling were excellent and could not be gained otherwise.
Really nice and easy visit to the temple and Hmong village. Our guide was lovely friendly and very informative
Our guide, New, was very knowledgeable about all we saw. She knew how much time to give us at each site, and her information was interesting and helped make the places more real. We really wanted to see the palace, but it was closed because members of the royal family were there. This can happen at anytime, and obviously the tour company has no control over that. The Hmong village was nice to visit. The trip up and down the mountain on twisty roads was an adventure, and I appreciated how New told us at the beginning to let her know if we needed a break for air.
My guide Yo yo and driver Mr Hoi were fantastic. Yo yo knowable and Mr Hoi very professional driver. Lucky to have one on one experience for half a day. Temple excellent however Hmong village a bit of a con, just money making venture really.
Good driver and transportation to Doi Suthep Temple. Our guide was quite helpful in explaining features about Doi Suthep and Buddhism; however, the Bhubing Palace option was not available, and no explanation was given about the Hmong village--instead, we were just dropped off in a market and given "free time."
Beautiful temple, unique quality items to buy at Hmong village. A very enjoyable journey. Friendly tour guide.
incredible fresh masa tortillas! hard to find fresh tortillas but these where great. I use to order ubereats from this place great to see it back
The visit to Doi Suthep Temple and then later on to Hmong Village was more than I expected. The temple is a very sacred site however even though it is on top of a mountain, it is very easy access via funicular transport. If you have any disability issues, then you won't be excluded from the visit. Easy access to all key parts. However, for the energetic you can climb or down or both the 306 plus steps. A must see, trip and only a half day. Excellent value.
That was good trip, very brief but consistent with the description. We have visited temple and village. Temple was Ok but visit in the village was very short and for me there was some level of unclearance. In village was some zones whitch required tickets and I wasn’t suire it was something worth seeing or just a scam, our guide should tell us that.
Good, to the point, organ sized and tour guide took great photos and gave lots of extra information!
The explanation by the guide was excellent. We enjoied the trip better with her. Thank you ery much.
We booked via our hotel concierge. The tour exceeded our expectations: a half day tour is just right and it was an enriching experience. Our tour guide, Nachi, was very knowledgeable and passionate. She explained the architecture of Buddhist temples, Buddhism, and Thai culture. She was also funny and generous - she shared little anecdotes about Thai culture and her life, and she even bought road side snacks from the Hmong village to share with us, using her own money. I had a really great experience and I highly recommend this tour.
Very nicely arranged tour. Nachi is an excellent guide. Full of humour and knowledge. Me and my wife, who have come from Pakistan, thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Very good tour stop in Chiang Mai. Half day and very useful to know the village and the temple. Very good Yoyo's predisposition. Excellent guide.
We only had the morning off and this was one of the places I like to see again! The Guide was very kind to pick us up at the hotel, even if slightly off the route, and take us back to another hotel! Guida tranquilla ma veloce su una strada nn facile! Going then early in the morning, few people so the Guide could provide us with clarity, all the information! Bravo
Sehr interessant und sehenswert, ob Architektur, Natur, Bevölkerung. Eine wunderbare Erfahrung, die man machen sollte
Temple visité au pas de course, et après un long moment dans ce "village" commercial sans intérêt ! Ce n'est vraiment pas attrayant..
