Chiang Mai Rafting In Mae Taeng River With Thai Buffet

What a perfectly executed experience! We were picked up from our respective hotels exactly as was announced in the confirmation. We were each given a helmet and life visit and safety clearly safety instructions. Safety first so that we could have fun. AND WE DID!!!! 10 KM of unforgettable fun. Our guide, An, was funny, confident and professional. I felt safe and able to enjoy the ride! This is not for people who don't like to get wet!! 🌊 Photos were taken for us and they were professional quality! The lunch served afterwards was unbelievably delicious!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. The rapids were not too extreme (in case you are looking for a really thrilling rafting experience) but the views, the guides and the elephants made this absolutely amazing. Tom and Mike were hilarious and made sure every moment was an adventure. So many added “bonus” experiences like feeding an elephant, trying new fruits and even getting to ride in the kayaks ourselves. The waterfall was a blast and you can really tell the guides and employees love their jobs. The elephants were in an extremely ethical environment and roaming freely throughout the area. I swear one was smiling at us while eating bananas off of a tree. The food at the end was honestly one of the best meals we had while in Thailand. Don’t think twice if trying to decide to book this adventure!

I had a great time on this trip, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys rafting or wants an authentic, exciting experience. The guides are hilarious and very friendly, also knowledgeable and well trained. This is a very well run trip, with a delicious meal at the end of it! We also had the opportunity to go down a naturally occurring waterfall slide, which was brilliant. I highly recommend!

The Trip was absolutely fantastic from start to the end. But most importantly, our tour leader was outstanding! A very funny and cool guy with amazing skills on the water. At first, i thought maybe the rafting wouldn't be that thrilling but the water was really wild. And in the calm parts, we could float with the river and the tour guide even offered me to use his canoe for a while. At the end of the rafting, you float besides elephants, we even saw them taking baths in the river, it was stunning. Then at the end, we wont by foot to a waterfall and could slide then down. I really can recommend this trip, a solid 10/10

Me and my boyfriend went rafting together. The guides were so funny but also very responsible. We had the time of our lives during the wildwater rafting. Afterwards we got some very good pad thai and got the chance to slide down a high waterfall. For the price we paid, we got more than worth out of the experience.

My partner and I together with a group of friends had an amazing experience, well organized and safe. Something I would definitely do again.

An enjoyable trip with friendly staff. Everyone had fun but please be aware the actual rafting is less than 2 hours. You then have lunch (delicious) then its a trip to a waterfall where you’re effectively coasteering which is impossible if you have any mobility or balance issues. Avoid that bit and enjoy a cold Chang at rafting HQ instead. They do take rafting pictures for you and upload them onto WhatsApp which is a really nice touch.

The rafting experience was fantastic - we hit a few rapids as well as some calm water rafting - the experience was made even better with witnessing elephants washing and bathing in the river - the tour conducted by oh-Hoo was excellent and is highly recommended when visiting Chiang Mai

Was one of the best tours we did in Thailand! Our tour guide was super friendly and funny, took a bunch of photos for us, which we got straight away! Had really good Pad Thai and went to a waterfall for swimming :) Would definitely recommend!

If you want a 5-star adventure & I am not talking the cheesy touristy kind, then book this 5-star adventure. I cannot say enough good things about our trip, so I’ll just let you find out for yourself.

My hubby, 13 year old son and I had a fabulous day on this tour. The guides were highly skilled, very friendly with good English and were very funny. We felt very safe and looked after while also having a great adrenaline ride down the river. It was so much fun. We saw lots of elephants along the river too. We were also provided with a delicious Thai lunch. After lunch we were taken on a short walk through the jungle to an awesome waterhole with a waterfall that you can actually slide down like a water slide. We were picked up and returned to our hotel in a comfortable, air conditioned van with a lovely driver. We highly recommend this tour. It was great value for money too. Not to be missed!

This was the best experience we had in Chiang Mai from start to finish! The guides were all so kind, funny and professional throughout. Our guide, Bank, was brilliant. We felt so safe throughout. The food was delicious and plentiful and seeing/swimming in the local waterfall was incredible. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

We had so much fun and the guides were hilarious! Got to jump in a water fall, and slide on the rocks. Lunch was delicious and plenty was provided (Though not a buffet). And rafting was as you could expect - mad fun. A once-in-your life day and I’d recommend a 1000 times.

Well organized, good care of customers, fun ride in the river. Staff used soft wet suit shoes. If like to get tp watwr, long pants and shirt might be good prorectoon.

We had a great time on the kayak raft and the guides were all wonderful! They were so sweet and funny, always tried to make sure everyone felt included (we were with family who didn't speak any english). They had an abundance of pad thai and fruits for us after rafting and before we climbed up to the sticky waterfall. It was bit of a rough climb but we felt safe with the guides. Slide was quick but fun! I didnt know how to swim so one of them offered to catch me at the bottom 😆❤ Had a good time and would recommend it for anyone!

Amazing experience! Picked up on time, drove to the staging area which had bathrooms and lockers (for thing to not get wet). Then to put in. The guides were funny, playful, and informative. "Tom" was so funny and quite the naturist. Saw a bunch of elephants. Then we had a great meal back at the staging area (which doubled as takeout). Then we went to the waterfall and leared about local flora/fauna. 10/10! Would recommend that patrons be at least moderately fit.

Great experience, funny and friendly guides at a fair price and they don't charge for the pictures. Also saw some elephants along the way. Low water during winter months so rapids were not as high as summer/rainy months. The food was ok. Maybe the only area of improvement.

The water level was low, so the rapids were only class 2 and 3 not quite what I was expecting but the guides still did their best to make it enjoyable and fun day.

The guides were lots of fun and made the experience very entertaining. They were well trained through the rapids and kept everyone safe! Lunch was delicious and the waterfalls we visited after lunch were SO COOL

An absolute blast. Brilliant.felt safe at all times but also exhilarating. The waterfalls were a great added bonus. although a tip would be to wear light footwear up to the falls.

Our driver and main guide Tom was friendly and funny! His English was excellent and his experience(15years) showed as he was very professional and knowledgeable. He picked us up from our hotel, stopped a couple more time for additional passengers, and then we got to the main base camp in about an hour. After a thorough safety briefing, we were off into the river in our rafts. The experience was exciting and fun. Each boat had another guide and ours was Bank. He was super nice and a pro at steering the raft. The rapids were fun but I wish there were more as we had a great time! After the rafting, we had lunch of fruit, pad thai noodles, and drinks(water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate). Then we enjoyed some time hiking to a few waterfalls from the top of which you could slide down. That was very enjoyable as well! Overall a great experience and the guides, especially Tom, made it a great way to spend the day in Chiangmai! Khob khun jaow!

This was one of the best tours I took in Thailand. The staff was fun and excited (despite doing the same tour everyday). The food was good and rafting was epic!

Mike who picked us up at the hotel was within time frame they provided. All staff's English was good and easy to understand. The guides were funny and very knowledgeable. We were provided a safety lesson that was easy to understand. All participants were provided and fitted for life jackets and safety helmets. The lunch was very good. The 2 other ladies I was with and myself really enjoyed this excursion, I have already recommended it to other people. The only complaint we had was the rafting was too short. Anne Ager

We had an amazing day doing the White Water Rafting experience. It's a very well organised event you get picked up from your hotel, once arrived you are given lunch with water or coke to drink. There's toilets and a place to change before being given a safety brief, and then you're in the water. At the other end, there are showers and more refreshments and all your personal gear that is driven down to the end point for you. I can not recommend this experience enough. All of the staff take great care of you. The guides are very experienced and capable, as well as being fun and good-natured, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Your enjoyment and safety are clearly a top priority to them. If I were to do this again, I would 100% go with the same company I can't fault them. Thank you once again for an amazing day!

Everything was amazing, picked up from the hotel, food was delicious and rafting was so fun and our hide was funny making the whole trip very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!!

The guides were very friendly and helpful. Made the experience extremely enjoyable :) The waters were in our favour, and I really enjoyed the harder portions of the river. Totally worth it!

Experience was worth it. River guides gave very thorough safety instructions, and having kayak rescue with us made me feel safe the entire time. The rafting was exciting, there were some rapids that had a bit of a drop in the middle section which made it worth it for the adrenaline junkies. The meal was enjoyable and nutritious, although I wish it was after the rafting rather than before. If you consider going, remember to bring a towel; there is a place to shower at the end of rafting but no towels are provided.

Great fun for anyone. If you have been white water rafting or just want to give it a try, I recommend this experience. The operator and guides were great. The river is a fun ride, that everyone can enjoy.

These people know what they’re doing and it shows, it’s incredible how well they know this river. It was very comforting how prepared they were for every rapid and every scenario. Besides the logistics, these guides are hilarious— overall, incredible experience, grateful to have come across this company.

Ridiculously fun rafting experience even though we are in dry season, very fun rapids and incredibly experienced river guides. We got to go in two person rafts as no one else booked. Got to do a cliff dive, and swim and float down the river

Highly recommend this tour, we had lots of fun. The instructors were well trained and everything was safe. The facilities were surprisingly new and clean too.

Very well organised and great fun. Our skipper was excellent as were the rest of the team combining thrills, with fun, whilst always safe. The river was not at its highest but enough water to provide some thrills on the way down. The guides are very professional and know the river inside out and had a good sense of humour.

My 4 friends and I went on the rafting, and it was so much fun. The guides were funny and sweet. However, in the end of the day we were afsked if we wanted to buy some pictures, and we did, but we haven’t received them yet - this is why we rated the tour 4 stars.
