What an amazing way to experience Chiang Mai! Having a private tour guide and transportation made exploring this beautiful city so much easier and more enjoyable. Chiang Mai has so much history, culture, and natural beauty, and this tour was a great way to take it all in. One of the biggest advantages of a private tour is being able to enjoy the experience at your own pace without feeling rushed or having to deal with the logistics of getting from one attraction to another. Having a knowledgeable local guide also makes a huge difference, giving you a better understanding of the places you’re visiting and the culture behind them. We really enjoyed discovering a different side of Thailand after spending time in Bangkok. Chiang Mai has its own unique charm, and this experience made us appreciate it even more. If you’re visiting Chiang Mai, especially for the first time, I highly recommend booking a private guide with transportation. It’s a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable way to explore the city and make the most of your time. Definitely a great addition to our Thailand vacation!

Wat Rong Khun, commonly known as the **White Temple**, is a contemporary, unconventional Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, the temple is famous for its striking all-white exterior, which symbolizes purity and the Buddha's teachings. The temple is adorned with intricate sculptures and artwork, many of which depict symbolic representations of Buddhist teachings, as well as modern themes, including references to pop culture and social issues. Construction of the temple began in 1997 and is ongoing, with Kositpipat continuing to add new elements to the site. The temple features a dramatic bridge that spans a small pond, representing the journey from the cycle of rebirth (symbolized by the dark, hand-covered bridge) to enlightenment (depicted by the bright, white temple itself). Wat Rong Khun has become a major tourist attraction admired for its unique and visionary design, Buddhist architecture with modern artistic expression
Wat Rong Seur Ten also known as the Blue Temple is another stunning Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It is famous for its vibrant blue and gold color scheme, which gives it a strikingly different appearance compared to more traditional Thai temples. The temple was designed by Phuttha Kabkaew, a local artist who was influenced by the architectural style of Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), and it was completed in 2016. The interior of Wat Rong Seur Ten is equally remarkable, with intricate murals and artwork, including a large, seated Buddha statue in the main hall, surrounded by blue tones and gold accents. The temple's name Rong Seur Ten translates roughly to "The House of the Dancing Lion" or "The Temple of the Dancing Lion," referring to a local myth and the symbolism of the lion in Buddhism, often associated with strength and protection. Wat Rong Seur Ten stands out not just for its color, but also for its unique and modern.
Baan Dum Museum, also known as the Black House Museum, is a unique and thought-provoking art museum located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It was created by the late Thai artist Thawan Duchanee, who was inspired by the traditions of Northern Thai art as well as his personal vision of art, spirituality, and life. The museum is a collection of more than 40 buildings, many of which are designed in the traditional Lanna architectural style but painted in black and dark tones, giving the site a dramatic and somewhat mysterious atmosphere. The buildings house a diverse collection of art, sculptures, and artifacts, some of which are dark and unsettling, reflecting themes of death, the afterlife, and nature. There are also works that incorporate animal bones, skins, and other materials, creating a bold and avant-garde representation of Thai culture, religion, and philosophy.
Lalita Cafe in Chiang Rai is a popular spot known for its cozy ambiance and delicious food. Located in the city, it offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal or a drink while soaking in the surroundings. The cafe is particularly well-regarded for its blend of Thai and Western cuisine, including specialty coffee, freshly made juices, and a variety of light meals and desserts. Many visitors are drawn to Lalita Cafe for its aesthetic appeal, with a charming, inviting design that often features elements of nature or art. It’s an ideal place to unwind, catch up with friends, or even work while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Whether you're a local or a tourist passing through Chiang Rai, it's a great spot for a break from sightseeing or just a casual meal.
Wat Huay Pla Kung is a beautiful and serene Buddhist temple located about 15 kilometers outside of Chiang Rai, Thailand. It is most famous for its giant statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, which stands at 25.5 meters tall and is one of the largest of its kind in Thailand. The statue is perched atop a large multi-story building, and visitors can ascend to the top of the statue for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The temple complex itself is quite expansive, with several smaller structures, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere that draws both locals and tourists alike. In addition to the Guan Yin statue, the temple is home to a large hall with intricate artwork and sculptures, as well as several pagodas. The architecture of Wat Huay Pla Kung blends traditional Thai and Chinese styles
Wat Sang Keaw Photiyan is a lesser-known but fascinating Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It's particularly notable for its striking, modern architecture and the serene atmosphere that surrounds it. The temple is designed in a blend of traditional Thai and contemporary styles, with a focus on minimalist aesthetics. One of the key features of Wat Sang Keaw Photiyan is its beautiful stupa and a large Buddha statue that sits within the temple grounds, often attracting visitors seeking both peace and a sense of spiritual connection. The temple is also known for its peaceful environment and its lush, green surroundings, offering a quiet spot for reflection or meditation. While not as famous as other temples in Chiang Rai, like Wat Rong Khun or Wat Huay Pla Kung, Wat Sang Keaw Photiyan still offers a unique experience for visitors who enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations in Thailand.
The House of Opium is a fascinating museum located in Chiang Saen, a small town near the Golden Triangle in northern Thailand, where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. The museum offers a deep dive into the history of the opium trade in the region, which was once a major part of the local economy and culture, particularly during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum is housed in a traditional teak building and is dedicated to showcasing the history of opium production, trade, and its impact on the area. The exhibits include historical artifacts, photographs, and detailed information about the opium trade, including its use in medicine, its role in the regional economy, and the devastating social consequences of its widespread use.
A boat trip along the Golden Triangle is a popular and scenic way to explore the area where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge. The Golden Triangle is a historically significant region that was once known for its involvement in the opium trade. Today, it’s a serene and picturesque destination, with lush landscapes, tranquil rivers, and unique cultural insights.

We had a great day with Got, we saw so many temples, enjoyed wonderful insight and history. Great tour!
My wife and I had a amazing experience booking full day private transportation from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon. Our driver/certified tour guide was so personable, and it felt like spending the day with a new friend. Many entertaining stories were shared. Other positives: on time, clean and comfortable vehicle, competitive pricing, and honored the requested itinerary. I would certainly rebook and recommend.
I would highly recommend Got for your trip to chiang mai. We did a private trip to Doi Inthanon national park but wanted to do the Kew mae pan nature trail so Got arranged a guide for us Ron who was fantastic. Very responsive with all communications beforehand and very reliable. Lots of other trips so speak to him and he will give you a quote for individual and group tours.
What an amazing day! We are a group of seniors (60-80) who took a tour with Got to see the Elephants and couldn’t have been happier. Got is an excellent English speaker with a good sense of humour who kept us entertained. We were glad he was able to take the tour along side us. He is knowledgeable about the elephant as well as the area in general. His car is clean and he is safe driver. Do not hesitate to book Got for your tours, you won’t be disappointed!
Fantastic day with lots of highlights and full of laughters 🥳✨ Great day with lovely private tour - we really enjoyed the day - saw a lot of highlights and local impressions without being „destroyed“ at the end of the day. We had lots of fun - Got is a very funny person whilst knowing so much serious information about culture, nature and history ✨🥰🫶 he can combine both in a brilliant way ✨
Our driver Got was very knowledgeable, trustworthy and patient, it was a very memorable 5 days spent touring Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai with him. Highly recommended!!
We booked a day to chiang rai with and saw the white temple, the blue temple and went to the golden triangle. We had a wonderful day thanks to our guide who was very knowledgeable about all the sights. Everything we asked was nothing too much. Thank you for this unforgettable day. Definitely recommend
Thai Travel No Limit made our trip even better than expected. Got was a very knowledgeable guide. Got picked is up from the airport and gave us a memorable trip. He took care of us so well, showing us so many sites. We visited temples and gardens that I would’ve never thought to visit on our own. Seeing the White Temple in person was majestic. Next time we visit Thailand we will definitely be using Got as our guide again. I highly recommend
Such a good experience! The plants look great and everything is so well taken care of, the vibe is just right and the staff is really friendly, they make the whole experience so easy and fun. Totally worth it!
I recently visited Happy Herb Farm and had an amazing experience! The farm is beautifully maintained, and the friendly staff made the tour engaging and informative, showcasing their dedication to quality and sustainability. Their products are fresh, aromatic, and top-notch. Whether you're an enthusiast or a beginner, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
I recently had the pleasure of using the private transport service in Chiang Mai, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Got is a really reliable guide. He also is very good on communication and interested in what you prefer in experiencing. He is also very helpfull in organising tickets. He picked us up from the airport, and we made several trips with him. Highly recommended!
Got picked us up from the airport and stayed with us throughout our experience at Chang Mai. He made life as easy as possible for us and took us wherever we wanted to go. He was very flexible and changed arrangements at the last minute due to weather. I would highly recommend him for your tour guide.
Sir Got is truly one of the nicest, most knowledgeable, and street-smart tour guides I’ve encountered. It felt like making a friend who you could count on whenever you needed a tour again in Chiang Mai. He took awesome photos, talked about a myriad of topics and experiences, and helped me experience the beauty of Buddhism with all his stories and recommendations. The best touch was the Jade he helped me get from a trusted, renowned supplier. He also allowed me to attend Holy Mass before the tour which was very generous of him. I’ll never forget the experiences that I hope I can relive in the near future with Got as my tour guide again. —Miggy
What a wonderful experience we had with Got. It was our honeymoon and so this was a special trip for me to show my wife Thailand. Everything was excellent, of course, from the temples to the street food. Got made our Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai experience so special by including cultural insights, historical facts, and humor in our tour. We still are talking about our trip and I can’t recommend him enough.
Got was our exceptional tour guide. He introduced us to Chiang Mai and its culture, food, and people. We had a wonderful time, trusting him for 3 days in driving us around. Communication with him prior to the tour was always met with prompt response. Because he grew up in Chiang Mai, Got can easily give us recommendations of where to go or what to do that tailor to our interests. Our kids also adored him. Our oldest was very curious, and asked tons of questions. And Got was patient in answering each and every one of them. We miss Thailand already and can’t wait to see Got again when we return (hopefully soon!)
Fantastic service with excellent guide , always available and knowledgeable of the area and activities. We took him for full 3 days
Our group (four young adults + one senior) had a wonderful day with our guide. Only one little hiccup. The guide confirmed our tour the next day via WhatsApp which didn't notify me of a message, so I contacted the travel agent to ensure the guide was still coming. All was fine and the day was perfect. Had the very best lunch at a local place in the countryside too.
We had two great days with our guide Got. He is a reliable, knowledgeable, professional and flexible guide, a safe driver and very nice man. His car is clean. He made our trip better than expected. Beforehand we indicated that we want to visit Doi Inthanon National Park and the temples in Chiang Rai. He has created a travel program in an expert way. It indicated when, what time and what we will visit. It was even more planned than we expected. There were two great days full of humor and the information about the culture, nature and history. Got took some nice pictures of us. Our guide Got was fantastic! The whole experience was amazing! After these two days Got has given us good tips what we can do in Chiang Mai, which match our interests- the best Thai massage and restaurants in Chiang Mai. We followed all his tips - it was the best experience we had in Thailand! Thank you so much, Got! We really enjoyed it! Got is highly recommended as a private guide!
Our Guide Got was fantastic. The whole experience was amazing. Undoubtedly the Guide was indispensable for the knowledge of all the sights we visited. We visited beautiful places and we so wanted to visit. It was an amazing day that we definitely recommend 100%. We very much hoped to be back soon and no doubt our Guide will be again the Got. Thank you for everything. Embrace with longing for Portugal
