Our experienced tour guide will accompany you as you explore Doi Suthep temple, learning about the history of this Chiang Mai landmark. You will then be able to take in the view of the city at sunset before visiting street food markets to indulge in the local street food cuisine.
This will be the first of the street food markets visited on the evening's tour. At this market you will be able to start your gastronomic adventure by sampling approximately 6-8 different street food dishes.
This will be the second street food market visited on the evening's tour and here you will eat yet more delectable delights. You will eat approximately 5-7 different foods that will leave you full to bursting!
Our guide, Sonny, gave is an experience we will cherish forever. He shared his knowledge and passion for the culture and history of Chiang Mai at the temple. During the street food part of the tour, it was event that the different vendors considered him a friend. We had the best food of our vacation that evening and now we too, consider him a friend.
Our private tour was extremely enjoyable from start to finish. A hotel pick up and drop off was the icing on the cake. We spent all the time we needed for pictures and Buddhists learning. Food was a plenty and really great quality. We may just do this tour again if we are back in Chiang Mai!
We first visited the Doi Suthep temple which was nice and then we had our food tour. really enjoyed the food tour of Chiang Mai with Coco. We tried several different places and had amazing food. It was a wonderful experience and I don’t think we would’ve been brave enough to go to the food market without a guide.
This tour completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment our guide arrived in a beautiful, comfortable SUV, we knew we were in great hands. He was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Our visit to Doi Suthep was unforgettable. We arrived for sunset and watched the sky turn golden over Chiang Mai — truly magical. Walking around the temple in the evening light, and then seeing it illuminated at night, was breathtaking. Listening to the monks chanting inside the temple felt deeply special, and our guide explained the history and meaning behind everything in a way that brought the whole experience to life. He also took tons of amazing photos for us, which we really appreciated! After the temple, the food tour was outstanding. We tried so many different dishes, and every single stop was delicious. Our guide had a full list and explanation of every dish, and he made sure we could try anything we were curious about. We visited a northern market and then a southern market, giving us such a great variety of local street food. The flavors were incredible! The service was beyond excellent — we were comfortable the entire time, never rushed, and felt truly looked after. You can tell our guide loves what he does, and his passion made the tour even better. We would recommend this experience 100% to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. It was the perfect combination of culture, history, stunning views, and unbelievable food. We’ll remember this night forever.
We had a great evening with our guide Sunny starting with hotel pick up in a new clean SUV and smooth ride to sunset at Doi Suthep. Views of the city and temple at night are spectacular. We were then treated to numerous tasty street food dishes back at Old Town Chiang Mai markets. Sunny took great care of us and we highly recommend this tour.
Sunny our guide was great. Spoke and understood English very well. If you can I recommend visiting Doi Suthep Temple in the evening when it’s cooler and quieter. Sadly the clouds prevented a spectacular sunset, but the city lights still gave us a beautiful sight. The temple light up at night is magical. Sunny’s expertise in the food industry makes the evening food tour an epicurean delight. He inquired about our likes and dislikes, then set out to provide us with the best tastings. We enjoyed so many delicious foods. Sunny knows all the vendors and they know and love him. Sunny took very good care of us making sure all our needs were met. We couldn’t not have been happier with this experience. It’s a great value, we highly recommend it.
This was a fantastic tour, Sunny was a great tour guide, very friendly, personable and engaging. He picked us up from our hotel in a very spacious and comfortable car before driving us into the mountains to see a truly spectacular temple with equally spectacular views. He then drove us back to the city for the food tour. He knew the local vendors well and they were also really friendly and gave us a selection of delicious food. The highlight of which was the seven hour slow cooked pork and the mango with sticky rice and coconut dessert. We were stuffed! The whole experience was 10/10.
Sunny was AMAZING! Incredibly knowledgeable easy going and the “mayor” of Chiang Mai where everyone knew him and we flew effortlessly from food to food and shopping market to market.

Great tour. Our guide picked us up in his car for our tour of Doi Suthep Temple. So much nicer than sharing a Red Taxi with others. The temple was beautiful especially at sunset. Our street food tour was outstanding. Highly recommend.
This temple is a must see in Chiang Mai. The temple at night is beautifully lit and the night views of Chiang Mai from the mountain top are breathtaking. The only downside was the heavy traffic getting out of Chiang Mai at rush hour. Our guide and driver Sunny was an excellent guide and careful driver. After returning to Chiang Mai we were brought to a local and very rustic restaurant which only locals go to. The Northern Thai food was excellent. The second stop was walking around a night market to sample Chiang Mai street food. Overall an excellent tour and highly recommended
Great tour! Sunny is an amazing guide who also gives a lot of information about the food, the background of it, and more. You'll stroll together through the market(s) and end up with a fulfilled feeling and a full belly. And a lot more confidence to try stuff on your own. Thanks and would definitely recommend.
This was a great evening. Even with the rainy weather and fog, the drive and the temple were beautiful. The food markets were great and the food was delicious - so much to try. "T" was helpful and fun. Definitely do this when you first arrive to help figure out where and what to eat for the rest of your stay.
Wow! Never been so full in my life! Sonny was incredible and went above and beyond for our tour from helping with translation for a needed interaction to getting us ponchos when it began pouring. The food locations were amazing and there is no way we could have picked such a variety and quality dishes in such a short time frame. Thank you for braving the storm for us Sonny!

Wir haben die Fahrt auf den Tempel und den wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Stadt von oben in der Dämmerung sehr genossen. Der anschließende Gang über die beiden Märkte war wirklich super lecker. Sunny der Guide ist überall bekannt und öffnet einem damit sehr freundlich alle Türen. Sämtliche Essen und auch die Zubereitung wird verständlich erklärt – obendrein gibt es auch noch eine Kopie über die Speisenfolge und die verwendeten Kräuter/Zutaten. Ich habe dieses jetzt bereits ein zweites Mal gebucht und würde, wenn ich wieder hier in Chiang Mai bin, auch ein weiteres Mal buchen. Auf diesem Weg ganz herzlichen Dank noch einmal - Sunny !
