I would not book this tour. The operator changed the meet up time in the middle of the night the night before the tour and I was not notified and met up at the regular tour meet up time that was booked. No idea why they felt an email the night before the tour was sufficient when the tour time was booked ahead of that.

Itinerary
Visit the stunning Wachirathan Waterfall, one of the crown jewels of Doi Inthanon National Park and the most impressive waterfall in the Chiang Mai region. Plunging from a remarkable height, the waterfall creates a fine mist that surrounds the area, giving it a dreamy, almost otherworldly atmosphere. The emerald waters swirl around moss-covered rocks, enhancing the natural beauty and serenity of the scene. On sunny days, a vibrant rainbow often forms in the mist, creating a perfect photo opportunity and a magical sight that delights every visitor. The powerful roar of the cascading water, the lush greenery, and the crisp mountain air make Wachirathan Waterfall a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers alike. Please note that the duration includes travel time from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon, as well as travel between the various stops within the park.
Sirithan Waterfall is a spectacular sight where the waters of the Mae Klang River cascade down a dramatic rock cliff before joining the river below. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, with dense forests framing the rushing water, creating a serene and picturesque setting. While visitors cannot approach the base of the waterfall, it can be admired from a scenic viewpoint, allowing you to appreciate the full height and power of the cascading water as it tumbles gracefully down the cliff. This vantage point also offers excellent photo opportunities, capturing the waterfall’s natural beauty against the backdrop of the highland forests and misty mountain landscape. Total time includes traveling time from one place to the other.
Visit the King and Queen Chedis, two stunning pagodas built to honor the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit of Thailand. The King’s Chedi, known as Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon, was completed in 1987 to celebrate the King’s 60th birthday, while the Queen’s Chedi, Naphaphonphumisiri, was finished in 1992 to mark the Queen’s 60th birthday. These elegant, mirrored structures are designed in traditional Thai style but with modern architectural touches, and their gleaming surfaces reflect the sunlight beautifully, making them even more spectacular. The chedis are surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens bursting with colorful flowers and fragrant plants. The location offers breathtaking panoramic views over the misty valleys and rolling hills of Chiang Mai province. A visit to these iconic landmarks is not only a feast for the eyes but also a glimpse into Thailand’s royal heritage and devotion. Total time includes traveling time from one place to the other.
Doi Inthanon National Park, often called “the Roof of Thailand,” is a spectacular natural wonder and the country’s highest point at 2,565 meters. Renowned for its cool, refreshing climate, the park is a year-round escape for nature lovers and adventurers. The park features lush evergreen forests, moss-covered trails, and misty mountain peaks, creating a serene, magical atmosphere. Waterfalls cascade dramatically down the hillsides, perfect for relaxing, taking photos, and enjoying nature. Its rich variety of flora and fauna, including orchids, ferns, and numerous bird species, attracts wildlife enthusiasts from around the world. Whether hiking forest trails, listening to waterfalls, or admiring panoramic vistas, Doi Inthanon offers an immersive experience of Thailand’s natural beauty. The fresh air, tranquility, and stunning landscapes leave a lasting impression on all who visit. Total time includes traveling time from one place to the other.
Take a short and easy nature walk along the Ang Ka Nature Trail, a wooden platform path suitable for everyone, and discover the unique flora and forest that thrive at this high altitude in Doi Inthanon National Park. This is not a long or strenuous hike through the rainforest, but a gentle stroll where you can fully enjoy the magical surroundings. The dense, mossy, and lush forest is alive with color and life all year round, offering a peaceful and refreshing escape into nature. Along the trail, you’ll encounter a variety of authentic flora and fauna. Every step brings new sights, sounds, and scents of this remarkable highland environment, making it a wonderful opportunity for photography and simply immersing yourself in nature. The easy walk allows you to take your time, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and marvel at the beauty of Thailand’s highlands. Total time includes traveling time from one place to the other.
Visit the Karen village Baan Mae Klang Luang, named after the Mae Klang river. Nestled in the stunning mountainous setting of Doi Inthanon, this village is surrounded by brilliant green forests, lush rice terraces and verdant coffee fields. In Mae Klang Luang, opium cultivation was the main source of income not too long ago. The Thai government has fought against opium farming among the hill tribes of Northern Thailand for decades, and nowadays the local population earns most of their income from farming, supplemented by tourism. Baan Mae Klang Luang is well known for its coffee crop. Of course you are welcome to sample the locally grown and freshly roasted coffee. Please note that the duration includes travel time between the various stops within the park, and also from Doi Inthanon National Park back to Chiang Mai.

Beautiful day out in nature and learning about culture and history. Jane our tour guide and Kang our driver were great - professional, friendly, helpful....
Absolutely amazing experience! The lunch out in the rice field was a particular highlight because it was so beautiful 😍
Small group of 4 today worked out great. Fast pace yet relaxing experience. We saw a lot for a day trip.
Maggie was an excellent guide. It was well organized, clean vehicle, great facilities along the way. The tour was enjoyable with a nice mix of nature and culture.
We did a full day WanderSiam tour and it was a lot of fun. Our guide Saman was great and shared a lot about Thailand, Chiang Mai, and the areas we visited. We booked after reading the good reviews and we are glad we did, we enjoyed each location we stopped at.
Even in the rain, Doi Inthanon was beautiful and refreshing. 🌧️🌿 The cool weather, misty mountains, and peaceful nature made the day trip totally worth it! ❤️ A special thanks to my tour guide, Take, who drove me safely, explained everything throughout the trip, and made the whole journey easy and enjoyable. 🙏✨
We had a wonderful day at Doi Inthanon with our guide, Nancy, and our driver, Hero. We started at beautiful Mae Klang Waterfall and also visited Wachirathan Waterfall, stopped for a beautiful view over rice fields, and visited the summit of Doi Inthanon, the highest point in Thailand. I especially enjoyed the wooden nature trail through the misty forest. Nancy explained how moisture collects in the trees and eventually feeds the waterfalls below, which made the walk much more interesting. The King and Queen Pagodas were impressive even though the mist limited the views, and the interiors were stunning. I also really enjoyed walking through the Karen village, where we saw a woman weaving, people building a house by hand, and other aspects of everyday village life before tasting locally grown tea and coffee. Nancy was knowledgeable throughout the day and very good at explaining the history, culture, and nature of the places we visited. More importantly, she paid attention to the people in her group and adjusted to what they needed. When I was having some difficulty with the walking, she was exceptionally kind and helpful. Hero was also excellent and very accommodating, even holding an umbrella for us in the rain. Their thoughtfulness really showed at the end of the day. As we were discussing where they should drop me off, I mentioned that I needed to find a pharmacy but didn't know of one near my hotel. I wasn't actually asking them to take me to one, but before I knew it, Hero had spotted a pharmacy along our route and stopped for me. Nancy came inside with me and helped with translation, and Hero waited for us. They then drove me directly to my hotel. Nancy and Hero were excellent hosts as well as guide and driver. Their knowledge, flexibility, and genuine attention to their guests made this a memorable day and a tour I would highly recommend.
Our tour with Nancy, our tour guide, was one to remember. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, meaningful history, and rich cultural experience that the Doi Inthanon National Park has to offer. We even stopped at a nearby small village to enjoy lunch and appreciate the local craftsmanship and lifestyle. Nancy was a lovely tour guide. She is friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. The tour immerses you in the Thailand experience. We would definitely recommend this excursion.
Tour guide Ammy was very friendly, informative and chatty. The weather wasn’t great but we had a great day out.
Nancy was a amazing guide as the driver who driver safety. I really recommanded her if you plan to visit the national Park.
It was a treat experience and a very relaxed tour, while still getting to see a lot of places. A bit chilly at the highest mountain point though! 😆 Mr G.bright was a great tour guide for our small group
VIP service! I was the only one on the tour so such a personalized tour, had such a good time with Nancy and Hero. Would absolutely reccomend.
I really enjoyed the tour! Kungnang was such a fantastic guide,so sweet, helpful, and welcoming!
Maggie from WanderSiam was absolutely fantastic showing us around in perfect English. This trip is a must for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. But bring warm clothes and a rain jacket. It can be very cold and rainy up in the mountains. Our family really loved this daytrip. This company is very well organized, a top tip !
nice experience and great knowledge shared. the tickets and lunch were all arranged by the guide.
We had an excellent day. Jane was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us lots of information as we went from place to place. Our driver was superb, especially giving the twisting terrain. The weather was a bit inclement, but added to the overall atmosphere of the day, especially watching the water drip off the mosses in the cloud forest. We would recommend this tour.
Jane no.5 was a great guide that helped us a lot throughout our trip. Helping us in many small things that were really nice like picking us up from the hotel as well as many other things as well. She was fair and great, a great time in this tour indeed
Our guide Bright did a great job teaching us about Thai culture and the driver was very kind and polite
Had a pickup and drop-off at my hotel, good tour and lovely scenery. Small group and informative guide made this a conveniant day trip.
Nancy is a great guide who is knowledgeable and the driver was so kind offering his jacket when it was raining. The waterfalls were very nice.
This was a wonderful full day tour. Our guide was informative and very pleasant. As with many Viator tours this was well paced and had a small group size. We really enjoyed all the stops and it gave us a great day in nature, culture and great lunch stop.
Jane was so funny and kind, as well as telling us about Lanna history. It was a super laid back way to see some beautiful spots, but the village was the most unique part. Really good selection of activities, back in CM by 330!
Had a great experience with Nancy and Tommy. Pickup was well organized and timely and was able to take great photos at all of the destinations. Nothing felt rushed thru the whole day trip and was really enjoyed all of the experiences and learn about local history from Nancy.
Tiktok guided the tour for us and it was a good time! Good pacing, not too rushed and not too slow. We got pretty lucky with the weather as the rainy season is starting late May. No visibility due to fog at Doi Inthanon, but this is expected this time of year and it added to the ambiance for what was the highlight of the trip for me which was the Ang Ka nature walk. The coffee stop at the village was also another highlight. I enjoyed learning about the nature and culture from Tiktok and we even saw a rainbow at the waterfall!
Really good insight into the local people during the trip as well as visiting some lovely sights, guide was an absolute pleasure.
A spécial thanks to Jane who make this tour amazing. She is SUPER I really recommandé her to do the tour with a spécial surprise at the end. Mémorable expérience.
10/10 our tour guide was amazing! She goes over everything very well. takes photos of you. We stopped by lunch she really made us feel special
We had an amazing experience with Nancy! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. Her passion for the local culture and history really brought each location to life. The tour was well organized, informative, and fun. I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free experience!
The tour guide, Tong, was wonderful. He was very informative, helpful and kind. He was well prepared, and he answered all of my questions. He ran on time and made the tour very fun! I highly recommend Tong. You will be very pleased with him and seeing nature, beautiful mountains and waterfalls.
We had a good day with Tik at the National Park. Eventually it was a private trip, due to low season only for the two of us. We took our time to visit the summit and the pagodas and the guide provided all the necessary information. Heavy rain in the afternoon required careful driving back but everything went well. All in all it was a good day.
Enjoyable day. Comfortable pace and lots pf variety. Jane our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Tam our driver was friendly and helpful too.
Great experience and knowledgable guides. The guide and driver took care of us when one of us tripped at the waterfall and provided first aid. Thank you!
Jane and the driver were great guides. We learned a lot about the tribe we visited, the temples and about the king.
Beautiful views at Doi Inthanon, spectacular waterfalls, and amazing history/overview of the lanna kingdom and historical forest. Jane was an awesome tour guide who gave us great background on the tribes, lanna kingdom, Doi inthanon, and culture. 10/10!
This is a fabulous opportunity to spend some time in the mountains, breathe in the beauty of waterfalls marvel at the architecture honoring Thai royalty and .eet some residents of a Karen tribe village. The guide, Tic and our driver, were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I HIGHly recommend this tour. It does not disappoint!!
Wonderful experience. Not physically strenuous, but still get to see amazing locations. Comfortable van ride.
Some reviewers caution against these day-long tours, warning that you rush through a lot of things and don't have time to linger. This was not my experience at all. Yes, it was a long day, and yes it was a lot of driving. But the mountain and vistas were stunning, and the side trips were all enjoyable, unrushed, and ultimately even uncrowded. Our driver and guide were helpful, friendly, and attentive and the ride was cool and comfortable. More than worth the day.
Tic was an excellent guide. He was informative and very nice. I highly recommend this highly comprehensive tour. We experienced beautiful waterfalls, amazing temples, and enjoyed a coffee farm and village experience. The nature trail walk at the national park was very enjoyable. Thank you Tic.
A very well structured trip with a great guide. Everything was delivered as stated on the itinerary. Our young guide Brian ( G. Bright) was knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to answer any questions we had. It was nice to feel the cooler air at the top of the mountain. At each stop Brian gave a description and background to where we were and then gave us time to look around at our own pace. The driver was safe and considerate ensuring that we got from place to place smoothly. We would highly recommend this trip.
"Teek" or TikTok was a great tour guide!!
My guide Arty was amazing! Such a cool human and shared lots of information and history (five stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) The activities themselves, I’d say were okay. Personally, the waterfall as the last stop was my favourite spot! The roof of Thailand is not a viewpoint which is what I was expecting.
This was a really nice day trip. There were many stops, all interesting. Nature, culture and a visit to a Karen village. A real village where people live, not just a place for selling goods. The pace of the day was really good, enough time at every stop, but not too much. The guide, Nice (I don’t know how to write his name) was excellent. He was relaxed and very helpful, and very understanding towards my slow pace (I’m not very fit and I have a lung condition) and always told me to take my time, no hurry. There are quite a lot of stairs on the way, so if you have bad problems with your knees , this trip might be challenging. And the air is thin up on the mountain, and heavy to breath if you have a lung condition, so remember to take your inhaler with you, if you have one. But overall this was a great day.
Had such a fun time. The tour group ended up just being my friend and I, which was a lovely surprise! Our guide Leo was so great and funny, and shared great insights about the different things we saw. He was also very helpful with photos 😇 Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice day up in Doi Inthanon!
Had a great time with our tour guide Leo and our driver (sorry I cannot remember his name!) We booked for two of us and it ended up being a private tour for just us - an awesome surprise. The views were phenomenal, we felt like we were in a painting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of visiting this national park. Also we enjoyed a delicious Pad Thai lunch for 70 baht :)
Great day trip outside of Chiang Mai to visit the highest point of Thailand at 2,500m! Local village visit includes coffee roaster and other handmade products.
A really interesting day visiting local hill tribes, waterfalls and the twin pagodas in the hills of Chiang Mai. Our guide, Khun Leo, was excellent. Knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommended!
Bro our escort was awesome. Good knowledge of area and good sense of humor. There was surprisingly a lot of water- it was memorable!
If you want to go for a trip to Doi Inthanon, please keep in mind that all those trips look the same. Every now and then you wonder oh is this another scam or what. We were driven to the restaurant, where our guide took our orders instead of staff and they had about 200 dishes in menu. We ordered something with chicken and they brought dishes, where 2 of them had nearly no meat only breading and other man ordered some soup and he also lacked meat. Nothing was mentioned about some missing products. We didn't really want to eat there in the first place, but we had no other choice (there were better places by walking distance). Guide didn't have too much knowledge so it was more reading the info provided by attractions. I don't recommend this trip at all. Albo they were 30 minutes late for pickup.
It was a great experience, travelling not so congested roads to hilly and scenic areas of Chiang Mai. Margaret did an excellent job keeping everyone well informed. Plenty of drinking water. Nice wayside restaurant for lunch and considerate coffee/toilet breaks. Due credit must go to our driver too for his deciplined driving. We are very glad we did this tour.
