The 3 Day Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga Retreat in Chiang Mai at Flow Yoga Chiang Mai was OUTSTANDING!!! Great instructor, good accommodation, delicious food and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Flow Yoga Chiang Mai Yoga Retreat was wonderful. During the timeframe of 29 Mar – 31 Mar 25, my cousin and I had the pleasure of attending the three-day retreat. We were joined with one other individual, a doctor. So, it was the three of us for all three days. We were at different levels. I, the beginner, my cousin who has done some yoga, and the doctor, more advanced, who most definitely had been in many yoga positions, several times over. Even with everyone being at different levels. Our instructor, Ms Amori, great instructor, courteous, polite, but stern. She was able to make each one of us feel like the retreat was designed just for that individual. She challenged us, but was never overbearing, pushing us to our limits, but never to the breaking point. The accommodation was just right. We each had our own room with shower, very comfortable air conditioning, but no TV, which I didn’t mind because the Wi-Fi worked. The meals were off the chain!! Authentic Thai cuisine, that was as delicious, as they looked. We had a different dish for each meal. All cooked and prepared with pride, seasoned to your spicy level of taste. If you liked spicy, you got it spicy, if you didn’t want it spicy, so be it. Plus, there was a lot of food, I was stuffed after each meal. The tour of the temples was very informative, I must warn you to wear socks, because the deck walking around the temples is very hot. The tour guide (our instructor) explained many of the artifacts in the temples and was also able to relate many of Buddhist teaching to the Mindfulness and Meditation Retreat. I really enjoyed my 3 Day Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga Retreat in Chiang Mai at Flow Yoga Chiang Mai. The instructor was great, the accommodation was just right, the food was delicious, and I learned a lot about the temples. In all, I’m looking forward to coming back and doing it all over again. My 3 day retreat was wonderful. Amore tailored the classes to our needs. The accommodation is very clean with complimentary snacks and drinks. The meals are amazing vegetarian dishes. We visited a local temple. It was fantastic to understand the culture from a local person. Highly recommended this retreat.
I stayed with Amori and her family for a retreat for 3 days. I was looked after and cooked for with a lot of love and dedication. I felt very comfortable and completely safe and learned a lot from the conversations and from the shared meditation and yoga classes. I will not forget this time and should the opportunity arise, I can return to a longer retreat at any time. I would like to thank Amori again very much for the teaching and the intensive discussions and to her family for the loving accommodation and care.
3 days with Amori were fantastic. We learnt different techniques and the level was adapted to the participants. The food was delicious and prepared with love.
Amorni was the most hospitable host and her home is full of nature and with comfortable living quarters. I came out of this experience feeling rested, peaceful, and ready for a year ahead of kindness and love. Amorni accommodates whatever you ask for, though the typical schedule includes a morning yoga/mediation session and evening yoga/meditation session, with meals and snacks provided. She also brought me to the local temple and market. Agreed with other guests who said this is more of a homestay than a strict yoga/meditation retreat. HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking to slow down in their lives, potentially gain new perspectives, and just enjoy their time with AMAZING food and mindful activities. Beyond yoga, meditation, and food, I most enjoyed talking to Amorni and hearing about her life and story. It’s inspiring and really moving to see how she’s able to give her kindness and wisdom to people around the world every day.
This is a truly amazing experience. Khun Amori is one of the nicest yoga teachers I have ever met. We had mediation and yoga practise twice a day. I went to this retreat with two other friends, one is a beginner while the other is an experienced yogi. Amori planned the practices to work on different parts of our body in each practice and adjusted the level and style in order to suit our individual body condition. Our accommodation is a nice house with three bedrooms, provided with all the necessities. Her mother cooked us amazing food everyday, and treated us like her own when she found out my friend also speaks Hokkien dialect, her native language! We enjoyed the trip to nearby local attractions during the stay thoroughly. Khun Amori poured her heart out and infused the program with her passion and soul. She really took good care of all of us. We highly recommend this to anyone who loves nature, prefers home stay experience and enjoys yoga and meditation in a cozy and homely setting.
I had a half day of meditation and yoga with Amori and it was really nice experience. She truly knows how to calm you down and helps you to find your zen. She is a great host and the meals were delicious. She also took us to the temple and told us stories about Thai culture, Buddha and temple. I truly recommend her and if I'd be ever back in Chaign Mai, I will come to her retreat once again.
We had such a wonderful with Amori and her family. The food was excellent, especially made by her Mom . They were so generous with a huge fruit platter and water. Will definitely recommend this to any one who wants to experience a hustle free 3 days and learn yoga and meditation too.
I was there with my other 2 friends. We felt very warm and homely there. Amorie and her family were very hospitable. She conducted yoga lessons and brought us out to some local attractions. Her friendly 90 years old mom did most of the food preparation. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
Very nice and welcoming Amori and her whole family who took care of us! Placed in a little paradise outside of Chiang Mai. We extended our stay because we liked it so much. Daily meditation and yoga was inspiring, calming and also demanding (that’s at least what our bodies said after yoga sessions). We‘ll be back!
Gosh where to begin... at the beginning I guess. From the moment I stepped out of the taxi at Amori oasis of ❤ I felt relaxed and welcome. The driver meet me at the airport, being my first time in Thailand and after a long hale flight it was just what I needed, no worries or stress 😁. The retreat itself is located a short distance (in my opinion) from the airport and the city centre, in a rural thai area surrounded by rice fields and temples in the distance. The meditation and yoga were out of this world. I've done guided meditation for the last two years so this helped me settle right into the mindful walking and meditation, even if I hadn't Amori takes the time to work with you. I've dipped in and out of yoga over the years, and again Amori took this on board and worked with me within my boundaries. I was lucky enough to have one on one for a few days, then joined by a variety of other guest. I enjoyed the Saturday chair yoga and meeting the local people who attended. The food Amori mother cooked was extremely delicious and tasty, the green thai curry my favourite 👍 you can taste the love. The accommodation was above anything I expected and I really did feel Amori bending over backwards (and literally) to help me , even with a trip to the local chemist to get my tummy sorted after the culture and time shifts. I cannot rate this experience high enough and I hope to return one day soon, namaste 🙏
Before this retreat, I'd never meditated before so I was looking for an experience that allowed me to dip a toe into meditation + offered flow classes. The retreat was a great way to incorporate a few days of R&R into a packed trip to Chiang Mai. Held right outside of the city in a pretty little farming village, the host and instructor Amori made the experience (from trip logistics to practice to meals) seamless and enjoyable. Her house/guest quarters/studio are set in a lovely zen garden. All of the meals are cooked by Amori's mother -- huge portions of homecooked food were the cherry on top of the retreat! Amori is a skilled instructor and adjusted her lessons to meet the needs of her guests. I received a good beginner's intro to meditation (exactly what I was looking for) through morning/evening "mindful walking" and seated meditation sessions, as well as flows that allowed me and the other students to easily modify based on past experience/how our bodies were feeling that day. Amori has methods to make yoga accessible for all body types/skill ranges, making for a great teacher. She was attentive as both a host and an instructor which made this a very relaxing and valuable learning experience for me.
Thank goodness for TripAdvisor. We attended a three day retreat at Flowyogacnx@gmail.com following excellent reviews from TripAdvisor. My son and I experienced one to one tutorials with Amori. I have a number of health issues which were taken into account when I was partaking in yoga sessions. The meditation sessions were especially beneficial to my well being and I shall continue to maintain this type of holistic approach in my daily routine. Amori has years of experience in both yoga and meditation and this gave me confidence that my tutor was a skilled and professional guru. I would certainly recommend FlowYoga for the ultimate holistic retreat. Thank you Amori
If you are looking for a small-scale, non-commercial, quiet and relaxing retreat next to the rice fields, you would love this! Amori tailors her yoga and mindfulness lessons to individual needs. Very delicious Thai meals cooked by Amori’s mom. Guests are very well fed :) Fantastic home stay style accommodation with your own bedroom and bathroom! Plenty of activities to do with reasonable free time. I stayed for 4 days and was not bored at all.
What can I say about my Flow Yoga retreat? It was, without exaggeration, absolutely amazing. I arrived not having done any significant yoga in maybe 2 and a half years? I had messaged Amori and she reassured me that it would be fine. I also have done some (but not much) meditation and again, it was no issue. When I arrived in Chiang Mai airport there was a driver to pick me up and deliver me to this oasis in Doi Saket - maybe 30 minutes from the airport. My stress and anxiety that I just carry around on a day to day basis immediately dropped when I arrived - and continued to drop as the week progresses. Oh yes, I extended my four day retreat as I couldn’t face going back to real life. I can tell you the very best thing is how thoughtful, kind and wonderful Amori is, as an adult we are rarely taken care of - but that is exactly how I felt, cared for. I was lucky enough to spend the first 5 days with her all to myself and she is constantly checking in during our activities and catering to my needs and preferences. She is an absolute gem and I feel a genuine friend now. Also she’s like a paparazzi with her camera so I have loads of photo memories - something that you don’t always get when traveling alone. The meditations were great, it’s kind of a personal thing, so I’ll leave it at that - I did however gain a wealth of knowledge and feel it’s a skill I will take back to my regular life. The yoga... I asked to be challenged on day 1 and I was - though Amori wisely suggested we take it easier when I was struggling, my body slightly sore from 2 yoga and 2 meditation classes per day. I am definitely not a yogi but my abilities were noticeably improved. The food, every single meal was delicious - Amori’s mother cooks with love and it is so apparent in her food. Meat eaters fear not, you will not feel that you’re missing anything. Every meal was a delight with loads of fresh fruit and healthy, plentiful meals - you won’t go hungry. I feel like this place is like boot camp for your whole self, it was amazing and there is no question in my mind that I will be back. It was such a wonderful experience and I can’t recommend it enough.
The place is very nice, full of trees, plants and surrounded by a river. The energy you feel is very good. Environment helps you to be relaxed
I am so happy to have had this experience. To have taken the time. Amori has such a beautiful healing aura. Her yoga and meditations helped me optimize myself and heal a bit. I take her meditations home in my rushing to continue practicing them there, for me.
If you are traveling through Thailand and also come to the north, the flow yoga retreat of Amori is an absolute must. We did the 4 day Mindful Meditation and Yoga and from the first moment we were impressed by the expertise and Welcoming of Amori. She really takes the time for you and not just during the sessions. Also in between we were pampered. We are really served the most delicious meals with products from the local market and visit together with her various sights in the area. Also about the location nothing but praise, it is wonderfully quiet, the rooms are clean and fully equipped. In short, a very fun and educational experience!
We had booked the four day meditation and yoga option. Since the moment of arrival until the moment of departure we have been pampered by Amori. The stay and food were superb! Of course you have to work, but Amori is a fantastic teacher. Also for me as a beginner. In addition, she really introduces you to Thai culture. We entered it without expectations and it was the best four days of our holiday!!! All thanks to Amori!
