Tong taught me so much about his culture, country, and religion. I am so thankful ful to have had him as my tour guide, and I hope I get to see him again the next time I come to Thailand! He was so talkative, and I had a great time. He is a genuine human being❤️

Mr. Tong was great! He picked us up from our hotel and we were all immediately laughing and having a great time. He was helpful and informative. We like to take a lot of pictures when we travel, and he was extremely accommodating and took so many pictures for us! He did a TON of driving that day and always had a smile on his face. Lampong was very cool and we loved learning about the history and significant.

I had a wonderful day. My guide, Tong, was fantastic - he even brought fresh made rice crackers for me. He took me to a local market, to a temple where there were horse and carriage rides and to the unseen temple. The unseen temple is at the top of a mountain, and you have to do a lot of climbing to get to that temple, but it's worth the effort. My guide suggested I go to the Saturday night street market that night. He dropped me off at the market. Tong could not have been more helpful.

I had a wonderful day trip. I went to a local market and two temples. Tong was my guide/driver. He was outstanding. Not only was he an excellent guide and driver, but he provided so many little extras from fresh crispy rice crackers to cold drinks to a cold towel to freshen myself after hiking up the mountain to the hidden temple. He even made the suggestion that I go to the Saturday night street market and dropped me off there. I feel so lucky to have made this day trip and to have had Tong help me.

I had an enjoyable time with my mother. Yut was a very chill guy and told a lot of interesting stories about Thailand and Lanna culture. He also shared about his life and experiences and we had a great time listening to what he had to share. He arrived on time and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip and made sure we had enough rest and water/food. Very nice and chill guy. When I come back again I hope Yut gets to be my tour guide again :)

I highly recommend taking this tour. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and allowed us to visit some beautiful sights in the Lampang Province. Our guide, Tong, was sensational. He was full of knowledge and there to help us every step of the way (literally, in the case of getting to the Sky Pagodas). He truly made the day trip a delight, pointing out interesting sights, sharing history and fun facts, and even teaching us some Thai. Wat Phra That Lampang Luang was much less crowded than other temples we saw on our trip and was a striking representation of a Lanna style, with many unique design features. Although Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Phrachomklao Rachanuson may be newer, the views were spectacular, and it made for a serene retreat. The lunch spot was also a great pick, allowing us to enjoy local dishes with stunning scenery. In addition, the car was very comfortable, and both Tong and the driver made sure we were safe and happy throughout the trip. Thanks for making our visit so special!

This is an incredible, off the beaten path experience. Tong was quite possibly the best tour guide I've ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable about Buddhism, the Lanna Kingdom, and the temples we visited. You can see his passion and he was full of energy the whole tour. He took the best pictures (and I am hard to please)! The drive is far but there is so much to see on the way. I will recommend this tour to all my family and friends!

Yut was great. He was very knowledgable. He taught us lots about Buddhism. We really enjoyed the hike UP to the Wat Chaloem Phrakiet. The views were wonderful.

I took the Private Tour to Wat Chaloem Phrakiat and Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang on a weekday in December and was super happy with my Guide Jacky! He made sure that I had the best experience I could have by slightly changing the sequence of events. That way, we went to Wat Chaloem Phrakiat first and had the Sky Pagoda view just for ourselves. Such an amazing view when the clouds just opened up in the morning! 😍 Jacky also made sure I get many photos to remember this trip. For anyone concerned regarding the small hike: it is really just 1 km length with 200 m in height (mainly via stairs). After lunch, we went to Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang which is also a very interesting Lanna style temple. Jacky explained a lot about the history of this temple and Buddhism in general. I really liked the old withered paintings on the walls of the Viharn. On the way back to Chiang Mai, we stopped at a market where I could see (and try) local specialty food. Overall, I highly recommend booking this trip as a Private Tour. My Guide Jacky was phenomenal and I learned a lot about Thai culture that day. The two temples really stand out and are something different you won‘t see in Chiang Mai. I also appreciate that we made regular stops during the long drive. Thanks Jacky for making this a memorable day! ☺️

We had a great tour to the amazing temples in Lampang. Our tour guide Yut picked us up at our hotel and because of him, we had a perfect time! Yut has a huge knowledge and he gave us a lot of information about the temples and buddhism in general. He took great care of us with plenty of water, snacks, fruits and a delicious lunch close by the Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat temple. The car was very comfortable and Yut drove safely and stopped every time when we needed a short break. We would absolutely recommend the tour, because it is absolutely off the beaten track! A great tour, a day trip from Chiang Mai. It is a long day with a decent amount of driving, but you are going off the beaten track to temples literally less seen by tourists. My guide, M, was excellent and knowledgeable and was open to my requests for staying longer in places or shorter in others. The trip up to the floating pagodas is a bit different! Into a songthaew then after that ride up a lot of steps but the view from the top is worth it. We had clear skies and the timing of the tour was great for having the sun in the right place for pictures. This tour was a good decision.

My 20 year old daughter and I went on a tour with Puma (our guide). She was very kind and considerate, and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the day. The tour was excellent as well, the unseen temple is so worth of the drive! The views from the top of the mountain are truly spectacular. Highly recommend!

Wonderful trip to Lampang and the Sky Pagoda! Great views from the top of the mountain. Our guide, Tong, was very informative on Buddhist traditions, local food, and history. We were able to try many local snacks and a wonderful local lunch. I highly recommend this trip.

Our guide was Tong for this trip and it was excellent. He picked us up promptly with locally made snacks and plenty of drinks and things to make our trip very comfortable (it’s a lot of road time) he’s also very personable and delightful to spend time with. Tong was a novice Monk for a while so he was extremely informative as we toured the temples - very helpful if you’re not as familiar with Buddhism. He made us more aware and more comfortable visiting the temples (wish we had done this sooner when we were in Chiang Mai). As for the temples - these were incredible. Both are different from the ones we saw everywhere else (we visited several). It’s hard to describe them here but the second one (the sky pagoda) is unbelievable. It sits on top of a mountain and it’s the most peaceful place I’ve visited here. I would definitely recommend this trip and you’ll be lucky to have Tong as your guide - he made this all worthwhile!

We really enjoyed our trip to Wat Chaloem Phrakiat and Wat Phra That Lumpang Luang. It was a really educational, but also a very enjoyable trip thanks to our lovely guide, Oak. We never expected to learn this much about Buddhism and history of many many things, but we enjoyed every single bit of it! Would definitely be recommending them to my friends because their customer service was phenomenal and the whole vibe of the trip was just chef’s kiss 👩‍🍳 💋.

We couldn't believe there were such beautiful temples in northern Thailand. I would like to confess that I have never heard of Lampang Province before. But when I really came to try and experience it, I learned about the beauty and unforgettable history of Buddhism. Our tour guide, Puma, made it the day even better. She took us to take lots of pictures in beautiful spots. She was informative, helpful, and fun. I would give this trip 11 points out of 10. I highly recommend this tour!!!

Mr.M, our tour guide, was fantastic. He did everything that made us feel comfortable. Our trip was filled with interesting stories to learn and attractive scenery. It took us a few hours from Chiang Mai to Lampang , but it was worth it. I really get into the Buddhist culture and traditions. I love how beautiful of both Wat Phra That Lampang Luang and Wat Chalerm Phakiat are. Taking a tour with Pagoda makes a remarkable memory on our hearts. Highly recommend!!!

My friend and I are interested in history and religions. That’s why we took this tour with Pagoda. We had incredibly fun time together walking around the temples and listening to our guide, Mr Austin. He explains things very well and has much knowledge about the temples. I strongly recommend the tour!

I had the best day with the lovely Puma going to Lampang! The unseen temples are truly spectacular and I’m SO happy I decided to book this tour last minute. Puma was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all my questions thoroughly, and we had great banter 😄 The weather was perfect, the views were stunning and the walk up the stairs wasn’t too bad! The stairs are sturdy but can be a bit slippery when wet so just be careful and you’ll be fine. There’s plenty of places to rest and take photos along the way. Right at the top was one of the best views I have ever seen in my life 🤩 The temple staff there offered to take us to the holy well to tip blessed water over our heads and encouraged us to strike the gongs around the summit (do it 3 times). It’s a truly magical place! - Make sure you wear modest clothes as it is a temple - This tour will have you covered with drinking water so no need to worry about that! - The lunch at the restaurant at the base of the mountain was yummy and Puma was able to accommodate for vegan easily Puma was the best tour guide I’ve ever had ❤️ she was polite, funny and generous. She offered to take lots of photos of me, covered all the food and drinks and even bought me a bag of edamame beans from the market to eat during the drive back as she noticed it was approaching my usual dinner time. A special shout out to the tour operator who organised my booking with me very last minute, they were prompt and professional. I highly recommend this tour! It was a highlight of my Thailand adventure

I knew I wanted to see Wat Chalemprakiat during our time in Thailand, but there weren't many options in terms of companies that would take us there. Have no fear-this was absolutely perfect! Our amazing guide, Austin, and our friendly driver, Art, promptly picked us up at 8am and we headed to Lampang-about 2.5 hours away. Be prepared to walk many steps, but it's worth it. Words can't explain the beauty on top of the mountain. While sitting peacefully, Austin explained all about Buddhism to us which made the experience very meaningful. It started pouring while we were up there, but Austin had rain ponchos for us. I didn't know much about the other wat or market, but they turned out to be awesome. Austin walked us through the stunning Wat Phra That Lampang Luang and shared so much information. The market was a great way for us to see authentic Thai life. Tips: Bring a rain jacket. Ladies-you'll need to cover up at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. Wear good shoes! Austin and Art took such amazing care of us and we truly enjoyed spending the day with them.

This was one of my favorite things I did in Thailand. The area is beautiful, and my guide was very informative. The hike up to the pagodas is a bit intense but very worth it. I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide May was incredibly knowledgeable but it was her many kindnesses that made this tour the favourite of our trip. For instance, May stopped at a local market on the way to Lampang and bought us several market stall treats as a morning snack, explaining a little about each one as she made the purchases. And when we saw some characteristic Lampang rooster-painted ceramics at the unseen temple, she later surprised us with a small bowl she purchased at the temple in Lampang. What a lovely thought and a nice momento to remind us of our visit. Yes the Unseen Temple is amazing, but it was the knowledge shared by our guide (not only about the temple, but also about herself and her upbringing, Buddhism and Thai life/customs) that made this an experience not to be missed.

Really happy that I found this tour to go visit the Sky Pagodas as it's very hard to get there yourself if you can't drive. The tour was off to a great start when our tour guide, Jackie, came a few minutes before pick up time and we're very thankful that he made this experience a great one. He spoke great English and took the time to explain the history behind the temples and even helped us took pictures. Jackie also took us to another temple and a local market which were pretty interesting. This private tour was great and we highly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Lampang. The tour was a great time had by all. We started the day with an early morning pick up and our tour guide spoke great English. We visited the different temples and he even tried to help us beat the crowd. We were able to have a good time, visit the waterfall and even have a great lunch. I would highly recommend this tour company. Everyone was friendly and helpful from start to finish.

A temple that is located next to Lampang, a 30min ascent with magnificent views to the top. Place still protected from tourists. Thank you to Yut for being kind and having to explain.

Very pleasant and almost spiritual experience. It is also satisfying to reach such a lovely place (the view is breathtaking!) after some physical effort. It is also nice that it is a half less traveled by Western tourists. The climb to the mountain is done partly with vans (the road is steep, you have to keep well) and partly on foot (about 540 meters of climb all in stairs). You do not need a great physical preparation but at least the habit of walking uphill and comfortable shoes.

The excursion was fantastic. I chose to hike to Wat Chalermprakiat, which turned out to be as beautiful as I expected, but the temple in Lampang also surprised me. In both places I didn't find many tourists. Tong, my guide and driver, was perfect: he explained me a lot of things about the local culture and Buddhism. He was nice, he took me to eat at a good restaurant under Wat Chalermprakiat, he drove very well, he understood when I was tired and when I wanted to listen to stories. Definitely do this tour, and if you can ask for Tong, you won't regret it.
