This is one of the best Four Seasons resorts I have ever stayed at. Everything from check-in and getting settled into our room to the activities and food was exceptional. You really cannot go wrong with this place! There are tons of activities to try, including Muay Thai kickboxing, yoga, water buffalo washing, and rice planting. There are also plenty of activities for kids, and you can make many of the experiences private if you prefer, allowing you to enjoy them at your own pace. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I especially have to give a shout-out to TK, who provided exceptional customer service and took care of all my family's needs throughout our entire stay, right up until we left. Four Seasons truly outdid themselves with the Chiang Mai location. I cannot praise this resort enough. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend staying in one of the Pool Villas. Having a private pool was definitely a bonus—it kept the kids entertained while we were able to relax and enjoy some downtime. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

We had a lovely stay at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai. The true highlight is without a doubt the staff: exceptionally warm, friendly and genuinely helpful. They go above and beyond, and their hospitality really makes the whole experience special. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious, although ours was located quite far away in a remote corner of the resort. Some aspects of the room also feel a little outdated. There were no USB charging points, the television did not support AirPlay, and light from the bathroom comes into the bedroom at night, with no way to completely darken the room. That said, these are relatively minor details. The staff are so kind and attentive that they easily outweigh any shortcomings. Their service is what makes this resort memorable and makes you want to come back.
An absolute masterpiece. Four Seasons Chiang Mai is far more than a luxury resort, it's a living work of art where architecture, culture, and nature exist in perfect harmony. Rather than simply overlooking the countryside, the resort is thoughtfully designed around a fully operational traditional rice farm, creating an authentic connection to Northern Thailand's heritage that is unlike anything I've experienced. The attention to detail is remarkable. Every pathway, pavilion, garden, and rice terrace feels intentionally placed, allowing the entire property to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. It never feels manufactured, it feels alive. This is also one of the best luxury resorts for families. Children aren't just entertained, they're immersed in meaningful, hands-on experiences that naturally spark curiosity, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for nature and local traditions. Those are memories that simply can't be recreated in a conventional resort. Equally impressive is the people behind it all. The warmth, professionalism, and flawless execution by the entire team make the experience feel effortless from beginning to end. Without question, this has earned a permanent place on my "must stay whenever I'm nearby" list. A truly one-of-a-kind destination. Well done, Four Seasons.
We recently had the most memorable lunch at Four Seasons Khao, and I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the entire experience. My parents were visiting us here in Chiang Mai, and we had heard wonderful things about this property. While Four Seasons is very high-scale and normally well outside our normal budget, we had a great credit card promotion that gave us the opportunity to treat ourselves. We’re so glad we did it while my parents were here — it became one of the highlights of their entire trip. From the moment we pulled up to the gate, the service was exceptional. Staff immediately came down to greet us and whisked us up in a golf cart. The friendliness and warmth from every single person we encountered was genuine and outstanding. My mom is in her eighties and has bad knees, so the team was incredibly thoughtful. They offered to take her via the back entrance to avoid steps, but she really wanted to see the beautiful lobby. They happily accommodated her wish and gently walked her around the stunning grounds so she could enjoy the views without rushing. The lunch itself was flawless. Every dish was perfectly prepared, the drinks were top-notch, and the views during the meal were simply breathtaking. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the overall experience made it feel truly special. What really stood out was how the staff went above and beyond — even the manager came out to personally say hello, which made us feel so welcomed. When it was time to leave, they once again showed incredible care for my mom’s mobility. Instead of making her walk back the same way, they took us through the back (a fun behind-the-scenes route through the kitchen where we got to say hi to more of the wonderful staff) and golf-carted us directly back to our car. It was such a thoughtful and seamless touch. We cannot recommend Four Seasons Khao enough. This was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back — next time for their famous Sunday brunch! And even if you’re not planning a full meal, if you ever have the chance to stop by for a drink or just to admire the property, it is absolutely worth it. Thank you to the entire team for making my parents’ visit so special. You’ve set the gold standard for hospitality. Highly, highly recommended.
Located about 45 minutes from Chiang Mai Airport, this resort sits just outside the city in a peaceful, rural setting. While it feels secluded, the nearby town of Mae Rim offers convenient access to essentials if you prefer not to head back into Chiang Mai. That said, the property itself is a destination—you could easily spend your entire stay within the resort. There’s a wide range of daily activities, from unique experiences like buffalo bathing and rice planting to traditional Thai dance classes, yoga sessions, and other wellness-focused programs that keep each day engaging. The facilities are excellent. There’s a large family pool as well as a quieter adults-only pool, along with a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and even a billiards area. Dining is equally enjoyable, with both a Western open-fire restaurant and a Thai restaurant, plus the option to order food poolside. The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable, featuring spacious layouts, large balconies, and full amenities including both a bath and shower. One of the highlights of the property is the stunning central landscape—lush rice fields, wetlands, and a serene lake that create incredible views from many rooms. What truly elevates the experience is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they make the stay feel effortless and memorable. Overall, an exceptional resort where everything is thoughtfully designed—I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
