Lovely pub , great beer and food. Super clean rooms. Great breakfast. Staff excellent. Locals friendly and lively. We loved it

We didn't stay here but did eat here and we cant recommend this place enough. A very warm welcome, great music and atmosphere. The whole pub is adorned with fabulous artwork by the local artist Marvyn Rowe who is now 90 and still works in a studio above the pub. Now for the amazing food we had, I had the homemade steak & ale pie which was gorgeous with the biggest pieces of steak in a yummy gravy. My husband had the fish and chips and im not kidding this was equally as gorgeous, the batter was so tasty and crispy. We gave our compliments to the chef's as the food far outweighed what we expected for pub fayre. We will be back when next visiting Barmouth. 👏🏻❤️

Will definitely be returning. We took our dog and when we went to the room there were bowls, treats and blankets ready for him. Wasn't expecting such a nice touch. Very friendly staff, clean room and great atmosphere. We only ate the breakfast but it was nice :) The only downside is you have to pay £5 a night to use there car park. Would have been great if it was included in the booking

Went with family for a special occasion last night, waited over an hour for our food but unfortunately when it arrived 2 of the meals were wrong and the waiter that brought them out decided to pick up the chips off plates with his hands ! We refused to eat an sent them back. We were not offered replacements and was given our money back for the 2 meals that were not what we ordered. Totally unacceptable spoiled the evening and despite asking to speak to a manager we were given a number to call an speak to the owner. No apology no complimentary drink nothing just rude staff that should not even work in this industry. I’ve worked in hospitality myself and the way we were treated was appalling. I would absolutely never return and I would advice anyone who wants a nice family meal out to AVOID this place.
