We have stayed at Garpes after climbing Snowdon. Our room was very clean and it looked like it was recently renovated as everything looked new. Bed was very comfortable. We also got free parking. We had dinner and breakfast in hotel. Both meals very tasty and filling. The restaurant staff was very helpful accommodating our last minute request when we changes our minds where we are going to have dinner.

My wife and I had a wedding anniversary meal at The Grapes Restaurant and it was exquisite. I had a special - African sunshine and schwarma chicken skewers, which were utterly delicious, rich and deep yet subtle flavours. (The chips were proper chips, and they were the best chips I've had in a long, long time.) My wife had the burger, which was made from locally sourced beef and she really enjoyed the solid flavour of real beef. The service was great, and I have no idea how the chef is able to turn out such high quantity food for so many people so quickly, but the wait for us and even the wait for the party of seven who arrived just after us really wasn't very long at all. We had a really really lovely meal, one of the absolute best.
Stayed for the weekend, all the staff are fabulous, great atmosphere, the food was fantastic too, the menu looks like pub grub but it’s much more than that, 6 of us stayed all ate something different each night and we all agreed on how good the food was. The only negative I have is the bed was far too soft, but I guess that’s just personal preference as my mate loved it. Would definitely recommend. 👍🏻
I’m writing to express my disappointment following our recent visit to The Grapes. When booking the table, I spoke with Llinos and requested a nicely located table for four in the conservatory. Her response was unwelcoming and dismissive, saying we could only have one “if any were available.” Unfortunately, the poor experience continued throughout our visit. The service from Andrew was extremely disappointing, and the food quality was far below standard. We raised concerns during the meal, but nothing was done to resolve the issues. We repeatedly asked for drinks and eventually had to collect them ourselves from the bar. Andrew then brought us the bill without us even requesting it. To make matters worse, we were left standing waiting while Llinos ignored us to chat at the bar, and Andrew was using his mobile phone and handling a plaster on his finger, which appeared highly unprofessional. We recently dined at Dylan’s, where we paid £162 for an excellent meal with outstanding service, attentive staff, and a warm, professional manner. In comparison, we paid £170 at The Grapes for what we felt was very poor-quality food and unacceptable service. I am extremely unhappy with the experience and feel the restaurant urgently needs to address its staffing, customer service, food presentation, and quality standards. Sadly, the restaurant has declined significantly.
Came to the Grapes for dinner whilst staying in the local area. Amazing food and value! I had the Beef Madras curry which was delicious! The beef was melting in my mouth with every mouthful! Great portion size too. We all left with full bellies and big smiles. Will definitely come again when I’m next in the area
