My grandparents stayed here and will not be returning after the landlord was extremely rude to them. - the rooms were outdated and stains on the walls and head board - the leaflets in the room and the bar staff stated that you are welcome to get takeaways / food and eat in the cafe area as there is no food service after a certain time. However, the landlord rudely approached my grandparents & questioned why they were eating pizza in the cafe, making them feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome as paying hotel guests due to his rude manner. - bad value for money, better more affordable options nearby

Excellent place for quiet drink or a party. Really enjoyed our time there. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
We are regular visitors to this hotel. The room on first glance is lovely. Closer look , mould in bathroom. Bed is uncomfortable, mattress very hard.
Stayed for 3 nights (work). Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is really good. Scrambled eggs very good. Nice bar. Very central. The Indian restaurant opposite is very good. Chinese restaurant down by the train station is good.
Had a really great stay at this lovely hotel. Arrived on Easter Saturday afternoon & the downstairs bar area was packed. We were checked in immediately, there was a duo playing sax, guitar & vocals and they were brilliant, so decided to stay & have a couple of drinks. It was my hubby's 70th birthday & we really enjoyed ourselves, the live music just made it for us. We stayed in the Hepburn suite, which was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good quality produce & served piping hot. The staff are very focused and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend.
