Staff - friendly Hotel & food - didn’t stay / eat so not sure Spa - Really disappointing. Outside area nice but overcrowded, brilliant view though so if you went on a quieter night would be better. Steam room, not steamy and massive yellow wet floor sign felt a tad obvious. Sauna - better part of the spa, seemed newer and was hot. Indoor jacuzzi had railings covered in rust, and looked knackered. Not very inviting inside a spa. Pool area was fine, however the room it was in felt cheap and not relaxing / luxurious. Whole night made worse by a large group of ladies celebrating a 50th birthday, allowed to bring their Bluetooth speaker with them (and the bottles of wine they snuck in and were hiding inside their bags) Firstly outside pool area, nice sunset ruined by drunk and tone deaf singing. Then they moved inside and inhabited the jacuzzi, filming themselves dancing signing awfully and clearly all hammered. I felt bad for other couples and small groups there to enjoy themselves ruined by this group of people. It felt like it was their air bnb and we were all just a part of it and had to deal with their nonsense. As I mentioned staff friendly but no desire to intervene and at least ask the group to stop singing / blaring their music. It’s ok to have fun but not when you’re ruining everyone else’s experience.

Had a nice stay at shrigley hall. The food was lovely. The beds were very comfy. I have marked down on the roads as the room we stayed in although modern did have a slight smell of damp. The morning spa was a great experience stuart was very friendly
Stayed here for two nights, rooms are very basic and needs modernising, bathroom was quite dirty on arrival with some mould around the bath area. TV’s had few channels and are not smart TV, for the price would expect Netflix access at least. Basic tea and coffee equipment, no fridge in room. The bed was clean but quite firm, not comfortable for more than a night. The walls are SO thin in this hotel you can clearly hear conversations let alone everything else… Staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the building itself is stunning but the corridors need hoovering. The spa indoors was a bit disappointing, the pool smelt of sulphur, one of the showers not working properly, and there were a few broken sunbeds and one of the jaccuzis indoors had no water in it. The pool outside was the highlight with amazing views, although can get very over crowded. Plenty of seating available outside. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food but the bar is nice for a couple of evening drinks. Overall wouldn’t stay again, probably would recommend better hotels for a more comfortable, clean and relaxing stay.
Recently visited Shrigley, the location is beautiful, it’s definitely worth a cheap spa deal. But wouldn’t pay full price for the experience, the 2 saunas weren’t hot at all and the outdoor pool was way too warm, can’t be used in the heatwave! The hotel rooms are nice, could do with a lick of paint but was clean. The food was nice (but again probably not worth the high price unfortunately), I’m not sure why but a handful of rocket seems to come on everything, even the gravy dishes. Overall had a nice time, the staff are very nice and accommodating:)
I had such a lovely stay at Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break. The hotel is in a beautiful countryside location with stunning views, and from the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The spa was one of the highlights of my visit. It was clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind after a busy week. I also enjoyed walking around the grounds, which are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. What really made my stay special was the staff. Everyone I met was warm, friendly, and always happy to help. They made me feel genuinely welcome throughout my visit. The food was also delicious, with plenty of choice at breakfast and a lovely evening meal. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, and outstanding customer service made it a memorable stay. I left feeling refreshed and would happily return in the future. Thank you to everyone at Shrigley Hall for such a great experience!
