Myself and my now husband have just had our wedding at Rainhill Hall Hotel on 16.08.2026. It was the most wonderful, amazing day and I can’t thank the staff at Rainhill Hall enough for making it possible. Particular thanks to Amy and Mike who coordinated and made the day run so smoothly from start to finish. The accommodation was fantastic, staff friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The venue was also beautifully well kept, clean the perfect setting for our wedding. We’d highly recommend Rainhill Hall for any couple looking for a wedding venue.

I just got married at Rainhill Hall last month and everything was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The big room under the chapel was a highlight for me and my bridal party! The staff were so attentive and really made me feel like no ask at all was too big. All of our guests commented on what a great choice of venue it was having our ceremony outdoors, cocktail hour in the garden and reception in the beautiful chapel. The whole day was perfect and the staff really made sure everything ran smoothly so that we could enjoy our day. Thank you Rainhill Hall so much for having us 🤍
A beautiful old building in a tranquil setting, the hotel is clean and the staff are welcoming. I stopped here for one night on a work trip and enjoyed the terrace, sitting with a drink and watching the squirrels in the trees. Room was basic but had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. The price I paid was very reasonable for what was a relaxing evening and a good night's sleep
Lovely grounds and staff. Room were pretty and functional, nothing fancy. Breakfast was a bit of a miss, continental out, hot food is provided but must order at bar, despite this it seems that its sat under a heat lamp rather than being made to order.
Emergency Booking from Hell Due to a family member having a heart attack, I urgently needed somewhere close to Whiston Hospital. I came across this hotel advertising a “luxury room with Jacuzzi bath” — and initially, the entrance and surroundings looked absolutely stunning. Perfect for weddings or events. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. I stayed in Room 18, and it was unacceptable. The bed was filthy — with vile stains all over the mattress protector. The chairs were heavily stained, the towels were dirty, and overall cleanliness was extremely poor. I raised this immediately and was told an external cleaning company prepares the rooms. I was offered another room, however none of the Jacuzzi baths were working — which was the main reason I booked — so I declined. Instead, I asked for clean bedding and made the bed myself. The manager did come to assist and was apologetic, offering a free drink, which I declined as it didn’t reflect the seriousness of the issue. Breakfast was included, which initially seemed like a bonus. The continental selection was very limited, with stale, hard bread and dirty glasses. However, the cooked breakfast was hot, freshly prepared, and enjoyable. I do want to acknowledge the staff member on breakfast — she was extremely pleasant, attentive, and clearly doing her best while working alone. I’m not seeking a refund. I genuinely hope the money is invested back into the hotel — because Room 18 should not be let in its current condition. The bed needs replacing, and the furniture is tired and heavily worn. For a “luxury” room, this is far below standard — it makes you question what the basic rooms are like. The décor choices (particularly the hospital-style green tones) don’t help either — it feels dated and poorly maintained. Given the circumstances of my stay, this was incredibly disappointing. I should have read the reviews beforehand. I would not recommend staying here.
