We ate at the Red Lion restaurant two evenings in a row, despite our holiday accommodation being 10 miles away. The food was perfectly delectable. Every element on the plate full of surprise and good taste and provenance. We went back a second time only because our first experience was so fine. We were pleasantly impressed with our second meal too. Our palates sufficiently seduced we would return here in a heartbeat. If only we didn’t live over 200 miles away.
It's been a few years since we visited this venue for a wedding and it has expanded somewhat. The place is well positioned out of town with easy access and ample parking. The decor was modern and the staff were well presented in matching waistcoats. The food was very well prepared and the location seemed very popular with local residents. I'm unaware of it's overall cost as we attended as guests but the day was very enjoyable and I would recommend Peak edge to anyone looking for a celebration venue or even just to eat, well done everyone.
Myself and my now husband had our wedding here on the 13th June 2026. Starting with the venue itself, such a clean and well presented venue, sitting on lovely surroundings. The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom to die for, with those bath tubs! Now to our big day, we had quite a few of our guests staying the night before in which we had hired out the smaller function room for food and drinks. The buffet that we had was delicious and more then enough food for everyone that was there, bar/waiting staff were lovely and very friendly. On the day of our wedding we could not fault the service, the organisation and efficiency was flawless. The food was amazing and very good value for money, all of our guests spoke highly of the time that they had. We want to say a massive thank you to Soraya and her team, from the start when we went to the showcase the organisation was very smooth and the communication was amazing. We didn't feel stressed at all as we knew it was in hand. We want to also take time to say thank you to everyone that worked on reception from Friday when we checked in to the Sunday checking out, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The staff that you have at this venue including the Red Lion staff were all very friendly and polite. We will definitely be back to have a nights stay and reminisce. Thank you again!
We stayed at the Peak Edge over Easter weekend and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful, very relaxing and calming for the senses. The hotel itself is decorated to the highest standard with no expense spared. The interior design is the best we have seen. Our children both said it was the best hotel they’ve stayed at. The service was fantastic, even the cleaner spoke to me and showed me pride in her job and such pride in the place. The food we had was incredible, from the choice, portion sizes and quality of produce. 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The hotel is in a lovely location and has the potential to be even better. Unfortunately, the room was missing basic items such as drinking water, and it felt as though some details hadn’t been fully thought through. The shower leaked badly and was extremely slippery when wet, which was quite concerning. We enjoyed our meal overall, but while the staff were professional, they didn’t seem particularly engaged with customers or enthusiastic about being there. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived very rare. My husband, who ate most of it, said it was delicious but agreed it was definitely rare. When I mentioned this to the waitress, I was simply told that she would let the chef know, and that was the end of the interaction. For the prices being charged, the experience is missing that extra special touch in both service and ambiance. It’s a real shame, as I was genuinely looking forward to our visit. We do plan to return and hope that next time the experience will live up to our expectations.
