Stopped here for the night and a meal while meeting family. Enjoyable stay. The food was excellent with great service. Good menu with plenty of choice. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed.

We stayed for two nights in the Chester Suite. It is huge, comfortable and quiet except for people coming in and out of the night entrance door. The bathroom is particularly spacious with both a clawfoot bath and big walk in shower. We'll definitely stay here again. Would have given it 5* if breakfast was included for the room rate. We did however enjoy a dinner in the pub. Decent quality and inexpensive. Dinner for 6 with drinks and tip came to £160.

What a fantastic dining experience! The large gammon steak was simply outstanding—perfectly cooked and great value for money. The staff were excellent, contributing to a lovely atmosphere. While I wasn’t informed about the specials, everything else was spot on. Highly recommend!

Visiting family in Hartford and stayed over here, I'll be coming to stay again. Great staff, clean, comfortable, well equipped rooms (the coffee pod machine was spot on), and a decent shower. We also had Sunday lunch and the first was pretty decent.

We dropped in for a meal and drinks at short notice after only booking online half an hour prior to arrival on a cold and snowy night. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and very well presented and special praise for our host (who I think was called Freya) who took good care of us and showed a lot of patience as we took a while to decide what to order. Thank you 😁 See you again soon!
